I laughed out loud on two of her comments. "Ford accidentally developed something remarkable", and "Subaru STI with a pickup bed". You're not getting that from Car & Driver or Autoweek.
Finally someone put the lil Maverick thru it's paces. I have been debating between the Maverick Lariat with the Tremor package or a Nissan Frontier Pro-4x. And after watching both of Sarah's videos reviewing both vehicles I think I am sold on the Maverick. Looks like it'll be perfect for road trips (fuel economy), lawn/garden home supplies from Home Depot / Lowes and some light off roading to campsites / kayaking / hiking trail heads etc. Makes a great jack of all trades type of truck.
At first I didn’t think Sarah was liking this… boy did THAT change in the desert! Huge shoutout for the drone footage… production quality keeps growing & growing. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Well i think you only look at power and fun,..i want to know how far they get before a break down, people are spendind money on Chinese built crap..mostly parts!
Just picked up a 2024 Tremor a couple of days ago. Still breaking in the truck but I'm loving it so far. Everything I need in a daily and the truck bed comes in handy. Can't wait to take this off-road here in the Desert.
I found you a few weeks ago when I watched your previous Maverick review. Dozens of your videos later we come full circle to another Maverick review. You do an amazing job balancing technical info and fun, all wrapped up in great production. You're awesome.
Larry, if you get a Lariat, the T appearance pack gets you carb gray roof, side mirrors, and door handles. Not many builds will have this sweet look. Ask any questions on my channel.
I'm really appreciative of your consistency in posting videos. I get the need to relax with some content and a bowl of ice cream and it just makes everything better for a bit.
These Mavericks are neat little trucks that fill a market void. Mini-truckers are all about them. Just wish they were more available and dealers weren't being ass pains about pricing.
Thank you for your attention to details like the undercarriage inspection that gives us a real look at skid plates. It's remarkably hard to find in reviews.
Last Friday at the GM dealer up the block a used WRX STI appeared in the premier spot in the lot. Around here they are rare and never in a lot for sale. I think my new favorite color for one is dark silver. Yea, first time seeing one that wasn't blue, black or white. I see that and I see Sarah ripping down the block. Someone was having fun doing a review. Nice to see.
I think the Maverick is all sold out for 2023...going to have to get your 2024 order in. Fortunatelyt Toyota has intorduced the Stout. Can't wait for Sarah to get her hands on one of those to compare it to the Maverick.
The F150 also has an AGM battery. This is likely due to the advanced BMS (Battery Maintenance System) which allows the battery to get to a low state of charge & still start the engine. FordTech Makuloco just did a video on this feature. I don't like these engines without port injection in addition to the DI. It will be more expensive maintenance to keep the valves clean.
This was a surprise, never really understood the thought behind the Maverick. Now I get it, a rally car with a bed. Oh have fun looking for used Maverick rear ends for the focus.
I would not buy any current day Fords . Overpriced junk now and too many call backs . I would not even lease one . Always love to see you having fun though.
I today's TH-cam recent uploaded list was a video from the local television station news dept. with an announcement from Ford about a vehicle recall notice. After clicking on the blank grey thumbnail the video unavailable notice appeared. Guess they didn't get the memo to ixnay the orystay till after they uploaded. The other 5 stations... not a peep.
The 2.0l is pretty solid. I had one in an Escape. They should have stuck with the 6 speed from that, too; it didn't seem to have any issues handling the tq.
The rear double clutch differential is different. Are they difficult to service? The engine/turbo combo might benefit from a catch can. I enjoy the real time comments when you did the off-road rally run. Enjoyable and super informative review.
the difference between metric and imperial (thats what we called it in school) is that metric cannot resolve odd values. so if you chop something in thirds, like a hotdog, squirrel or jelly donut, with metric you get 3.33333333..... whereas imperial you get an exact equal mess of squirrel innards, i.e. 1/3 so no recurring. now if you and two friends went and bought jelly donuts (or an un-suspecting squirrel) you could round up your metric part to 0.4 and give your other two friends slightly less jelly by short changing them to 0.3 each.
Hey Sarah, really enjoy this one especially when you have so much fun filming it. So happy the little guys living up to the tremor name definitely a great alternative like you were saying. Love the color accents I think that ties back into the color palette of the original movie which is cool have a great one as always🐧🐧🐧👍
I’m still stunned it’s fwd. 🤷🏻♂️😂 Tremor worth the upgrade over the base Maverick. 👍🏻 Great to see the drone footage! 👏🏻. Angel makes a great partner in your vids. 👍🏻😎
Sarah great review as always! Thank you. I am a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid owner and love it. Best bang for the buck out there and incredible fuel mileage.
I like that this is a realistic size for roads in the rest of the world, so it might come to the UK one day. If you've ever seen an F150 on UK roads, you'll realise why they never sold them here...
Yeah, this would work well over there. I had a U.S. spec 4x4 2011 Tacoma with me in Germany and that was about the max of practicality size wise for small village roads.
FlexBed - The all-new Ford Maverick features FLEXBED" the most innovative truck box Ford has ever created. Loaded with organization and storage features to give customers ways to secure cargo and easy ways to create DIY solutions. Some assembly encouraged.
The funnel you found is to use for a fuel can. It is designed to use because a regular funnel and gas can spout will not work and will get stuck in the filler door. All Mustangs come with them as well.
As always, you rock Sarah! Awesome review, I’m impressed with what you were able to reveal about that Maverick, and what you were able to make it do. Props to Ford for building such a capable little truck, and props to you for piloting it like a pro! 👍 Do you think Ford might build an electric Tremor someday?? 😃
Ford needs to make a rallie trim, as is the awd is front bias. If they could make it a little more rear bias, a little more aggressively tuned and added some paddle shifters that would be amazing.
I was looking seriously at the Maverick after you reviewed it before. I almost pulled the trigger on one. Now that they have this one I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it. Hopefully they have some cool colors. Great review and thank you.
JK, for some reason the T is not offered in carbonized gray like the AWD I show on my channel. The avalanche gray on this review is only available on the Tremor.
QR code takes you to "Discover your Ford" "2022 Ford Maverick Video Library". Seems a year out of date! I was able to find the 2023 video library, so guess they just used up some old stickers??
The QR Code you can scan is for the dimensions for you to be able to 3D print your own mounts in the bed. You can also 3D print specific stuff for the slot underneath the 12v outlet for the rear seat you pointed out at 14:42
Slightly off topic, years ago my brother was in a head on collision at highway speeds in his late model Ford ranger 4x4, we walked away with minor injuries. Point being, built Ford tough is not just a slogan.
Just about every car video gives you basic stuff you can google. Nobody out there does what Sarah does. Great video as always.
I laughed out loud on two of her comments. "Ford accidentally developed something remarkable", and "Subaru STI with a pickup bed". You're not getting that from Car & Driver or Autoweek.
I noticed the same thing today while trying to research this truck. I'm getting a lot more detail here!
Trannie cant handle the torque of the engine? Another ford fail.

Did you got it? I got mine after this video and boy I love this little beast!
Did you haul a kayak yet?
At first I didn’t think Sarah was liking this… boy did THAT change in the desert! Huge shoutout for the drone footage… production quality keeps growing & growing. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Thank You Sarah!!
Yeah, I was about to come up here and say That was embarrassing, but then they redeemed themselves.
Well i think you only look at power and fun,..i want to know how far they get before a break down, people are spendind money on Chinese built crap..mostly parts!
This is the first of your videos I’ve seen, you’ve got a new fan! I love your sense of humor and like how you express your negative opinions.
Too bad my local dealer put a 30k markup on it. Used Tacoma thank you. Ford dealerships are wrecking the brand.
You should write a letter to Ford, explaining one of their dealers cost them your business.
What's the name of your local dealer?
A cursory search via “cars” shows most available Mavericks have a ridiculous $10,000 markup!
Inventory is getting better don't buy anything yet
Have the same problem in Coastal GA
The barcode gives you a 2022 Ford Maverick Video Library checking out features of that truck. Great video as always Sarah, thank you for all you do :)
Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸
I love my XLT Maverick Tremor
Same here !

Pay close attention for her innuendos. They can be very funny. 😀
@@CBR919R They sure are! BTW - I'm sure you caught the resemblance in our user names. Former CB919 and CBR954R owner here.
Would love to see you rip around the desert with the 2025 Mav Tremor! See if they improved anything else with it!
LOL Sarah getting ideas about making her Focus AWD with a Maverick system is the energy I like.
I'm glad you did this review. I've been looking to buy one and your honest opinion makes it easier to think about.
Funnel is for the capless fuel filler. You need to use it if you are using a Jerry can
Actually.. it’s for calling ducks on the side of the road with.

Very professional Sarah, you covered it all in Style, great rundown of the stats.
The analog pointer really makes this cool!
I like this model of tremor maverick very much. I want one brand new all options, in the grey.

@@fordmaverickmaniac ty for the reply, these new trucks are awesome for the price!
Your verbiage is awesome and funny. 😁
Glad to see they're using the ST platform for something. Cool review. Thanks, Sarah.
I'm really appreciative of your consistency in posting videos. I get the need to relax with some content and a bowl of ice cream and it just makes everything better for a bit.
I'll make a small wager that the tremor is going to be missing a few focus rally parts!😄
This little truck is really awesome !!!
holy shit girl you are loved , over half million subs frikkin wow i tip my hat to you
Very entertaining truck review, love it. I agree they need to make one of these with stick shift.
Unfortunately, no one would buy a stick.
Stg that looks like THE most fun off-road review you've ever done
Great review. I love that engine in my bronco sport badlands. So many similarities between the two. Super fun to drive.
Another outstanding review. Thank you for all the work that goes into your vehicle reviews. They are enjoyable and informative.
These Mavericks are neat little trucks that fill a market void. Mini-truckers are all about them. Just wish they were more available and dealers weren't being ass pains about pricing.
Pricing is better it seems a year later. Was able to secure a little under msrp and free shipping to my house.
Thank you for your attention to details like the undercarriage inspection that gives us a real look at skid plates. It's remarkably hard to find in reviews.

Ross, now that millions more know about the Mav, my bet is 2024MY sells out in 1 day, not one week like last time. Ask any questions on my channel.
That's a great car, but I like my old 1977 Ford Maverick too. Congratulations on the channel and success to you Sarah. A hug directly from Brazil.
Mostest funnest review of the Maverick Tremor I have seen yet.
Thanks Sarah and thanks to the editing department 🐧
The bed QR code links you to all the DIY stuff/instructions you can accessorize the bed with.
A lot of full-size truck owners won't even take a second look at the Maverick, guilty as charged, but in reality its all the truck most people "need".
I've got a Tremor, F150(4wd) and F250(4wd)

That QR-code took me to 2023 Ford Maverick web page on Ford's website. (but I'm in Canada)
The Ford Maverick name was used here in South America for a 4-door and 2-door kinda-Mustang-but-not-really in the 70s. Still very desirable.
This was a surprise, never really understood the thought behind the Maverick. Now I get it, a rally car with a bed. Oh have fun looking for used Maverick rear ends for the focus.
Even the regular Mav AWD I show on my channel is like a little race truck.
I like when the finger pointer goes in and out of things
I’ve seen it in blue. Nice looking truck.
Much better than the Maverick of the 1970s I grew up with.

I like the new drone work while going up and down the steep hill.
Yes!!! The seat bolster test. It makes the review.
Came to the same conclusion recently on the wrx cross shop. Honestly leaning toward the Mav.
Yeah, and just like a WRX the transmission is the limiting factor to big power 😂
The 2.0l is pretty solid. I had one in an Escape. They should have stuck with the 6 speed from that, too; it didn't seem to have any issues handling the tq.
What I liked the most about your video was the little yellow hand at 3:35 😂
So the engine puts out more torque than the transmission can handle?🤣🤣🤣🤣 Way to go Ford.
The rear double clutch differential is different. Are they difficult to service? The engine/turbo combo might benefit from a catch can. I enjoy the real time comments when you did the off-road rally run. Enjoyable and super informative review.

just for a Cliff Claven moment... that funnel is if you run out of gas you push that thru the capless gas cap so you can fill with a jerry can
