So Lex the Lemon is actually Snag, from CoP. What a cool little detail carried over from the previous game. So... no binos, nvg or backpack in this game yet it seems. The usb blueprints are from stashes just like Clear Sky. At least you don't have to buy the stash locations for the upgrades in this game. Likewise the Bandits have the Depot like CS. I wonder where Butcher went and if he is in this game, but given that you cannot loot the mutants, I would guess not. Cracking video. Keep up the good work.
I need to replay the other 2 games, I’ve forgotten so much. Let’s hope they add mutant loot in future updates, it’d be great to have a hunting trader back in the game.
I am certain an artifact is in a rock for me on the southeast side of Wild Island in the rocky gravitational anomaly. I circled the spire it's stuck in with my Bear detector, climbed all around every face of it and up to the top of it, even tried throwing grenades at it just to be thorough. Checked 2 or 3 times and it was still in the same place but refused to appear. I could even hear what I believe is the noise of it appearing but it was in the rocks and I couldn't get a F to Pickup promp to show.
Perhaps this is one of the broken locations straight out of the box. It’s annoying because arti hunting is a core feature and necessary for making money.
A bandit emerged from the anomaly field. "Give me the bloody vodka!" he shouted at a group of his friends leaning on a tree, smoking whatever crap Ganja was selling in Rostok. "For the first time in my fooking life I am happy it's raining." he shuddered and downed a healthy swig of vodka. "It washes away radiation. I have recuring nightmares with screaming Geiger counters in them." "Yeah, joys of being a stalker, eh?" grinned one of his mates and passed him a "cigarette". "Ya found anything?" he asked, as bandit savoured the smoke. "Fooking nothing, there was. Zone is mad at me or something. First, somebody emptied me stash, stole all me savings and now, that I need to go anomaly diving again, like a fooking rookie, them things are empty too!" "Yeah, I think we need to find luckier friend. What if wrath of the Zone falls on our heads too?" laughed one of the goons, mouth full of kielbasa, pointing a greasy bayonet on unfortunate bandit. "Oh, there is no need to worry." proclaimed unknown voice from behind. Kielbasa splashed onto the ground and four barrels were raised in the direction of the voice. Old stalker, with an obvious rookie in tow, emerged from behind a tree. "Do not worry, we are all friends here." he said with friendly smile. "Whaddya mean?" asked a goon. "Oh, there is no curse uppon you. It is just... He came back to the Zone." explained Old One. "He?" "The Stalker." grin on Olds face widened. "Wherever he goes, loot disappears. Wherever he goes, Anomalies are emptied. Wherever he goes, interesting times happens. And bodies starts to pile up." "So the fecker stole my crap?" asked obviously pissed and still radioactive bandit. "Maybe we should pay him a visit" "He cannot steal what is his. He is the God of this Zone. Everything and every one here is His to do as he sees fit. He is The Stalker, destroyer of Monolith, tamer of Controllers, taker of loot." proclaimed Old One and smiled again. Oh, he waited so, so long to say this line again... "Do you want to see a brochure?"
As a veteran stalker, having played all previous games and the anomaly version too, its really strange exploring the zone in stalker 2, some of the places seem like they are in the wrong places in relation to where they were in previous games, and even where you would head from one location to get to another with the loading screens, the direction you went in, and yet in stalker 2 it feels like the places are in oposite directions to where you think they should be. I do like it though, its really nice exploring old places you knew and seeeing how they changed/updated those places. With the ai aimbotting, honestly its one of my pet peeves these days with current games, how aim botty they are, the acuracy of their shots over extreme distances, and at night its a nightmare, you cant see more than 20 feet or so, yet they can see you miles away and land their shots wiht pretty good accuracy. And then when you loot them, they have mostly red weapons and little to no ammo. I dont think ive seen a single enemy have a weapon jam up on them when in firefights. And honestly, i think given how advanced their ai was in previous games compared to other games of the same time, i would have thought they would have gone above and beyond to make sure the ai is balnced well for this game. Add to all this, with the constant respawning makes it very frustrating at times. Ive also, since the update been having alot more crashes, especially when i get pulled into a whirlygig thing, not always, but alot of the times i get pulled into one the game will crash now, and it didnt before. All the other bugs aside, im still really enjoying playing and exploring the zone. Lets hope they can fix alife for the spawning stuff. i Also, refering to the repopulation thing, had an incident with zalissya, there was an emission, and i saw all the guys running for cover, went and hid for the emission, when i came out, over half the guys had died to the emission, and so far it hasnt repopulated. Had a similar thing later in the story part of the game, youre not there yet in this play through so i wont mention it. Again, top video mate, keep it up, enjoying watchign your playthrough :)
Y’know, I commented on this in my Discord server recently. The old locations have a melancholic feel, like the world has moved on and us old Stalkers are relics of a bygone era. No location is really the same from the original games, and all sense of familiarity is warped. Stalker 2 is much closer to the geographical irl Zone than the original games were, they took a lot of liberties with the locations. It is jolting to travel in the opposite direction sometimes, but I think it adds to the excitement of exploration. The constant respawns are really painful in some locations. I just finished exploring Army Warehouse, and the majority of my time was spent fending off rogue squads and mutant attacks. Even had a mob of snorks spawn *on the roof* while I was exploring up there. I’m with you, it can be pain at times, but not enough to kill the enjoyment. Cheers for your comment! ❤️🤘
29:00 Lol there is an easier way to get there... But I'll let you find out on your own in time, you'll laugh at all the work you did, as well as all the work getting there will leave you with ;]
The gear is maybe slightly improved from the base versions, with a different coloring/pattern. The Tourist armour is the best find so far, good early armour, but they aren’t really designed to give you a huge edge. Still, they look nice 😁
I killed a Pseudogiant last night... It was NOT easy, his attacks are brutal. If you want to know roughly how much ammo it took for me to kill it on Veteran look below: 9 RPG, 6 VOG-25, and around 45 Expansive 5.45x39 from an AKM-74S
I’ve tackled a couple now in the offline playthrough, and they usually chew through my entire reserve of buckshot, darts, a few nades, and a few clips of assault rifle ammo. The fights themselves were relatively easy, but the ammo cost and wear on gear is astronomical.
Weird they disse not aggro on me on the garbage train station. Also I am not sure if Any one else will mention this, but the drunkness effect gave me nausea by the 35 min and a headache by the 45 min. If possible, would you consider using the mod to reduce drunkess effect? Given the long epsodes and all :) Edit: I think the problme was the drunkness at night while looting followed by the gun fight that required a bit more focus.
Yeah, that effect gets old. As good as the arti is I may have to sub it out. I’m not willing to mod at this point so may just have to stop using it, or use it only in specific situations.

re respawning. i would much prefer if there were npcs as foot traffic through the zones - walking from area to area. if you clear an area, the replacements would come from that foot traffic and fill that location as they find it vacant.

nice episode! really enjoy your long play approach to the game
Thank you! 🙏
49:00 That's the karma for not helping them with the BS 😂
Then chaos ensued 😂😂
Good thing the new patch fixed most of the issues in this episode.
Every patch makes me excited to jump in all over again.

In CoP snag is the guy who steals your stash from jupiter. He was a bandit but screwed them over so you have the choice to save him or off them both.
He wouldn’t survive the Punisher run then 😂

lol, I guess not, ended up getting there in the end 😂
Thank you, Blondie! Do you lie the gear that you are getting from the upgraded version of the game? I'll buy the game sometime soon.

Would you not get a better price for meds from a medic when you are selling them? Just a thought.
No, apparently. I did check. Maybe specific traders give better prices somewhere.

I believe it. They’re surprisingly fast too.

Yeah agreed. The aggressive respawns get tiring after the fourth wave.
