Poll: th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqxAyLqm33mhGeh3jWOZPnOe6-exR7WZp Finally the busy Summer is over, so enjoy this brand new episode. Hope you'll like it! I wanted to put a link to the GTA map tool on the screen, but turns out it's quite complicated, because it's an external resource. Whatever, you can find the link in the description. Thanks to Nick007J for fact checking the Russian variant of the video. Thanks to PaintedCat726 for helping me with the thumbnail.
Interesting video as always. The same thing also happens when the player enters/leaves the mansion interior during Firefighter. Unfortunately this doesn't work well in the original releases because the Firetruck gets stuck in the stairs, but it works fully in DE. In my opinion a good fix would be taking control from the player when they enter the marker instead of when the first weapon is selected. However, this still allows for the exploit to work 1 time per setup, and the mansion interior method would work just the same. The best fix would be implementing a check to not extinguish fires that are script fires.
Thank you! You are correct, your fix will work (it was also suggested already, but I doubt you were reading comments in Russian). It won't actually trigger the bug even once per setup, because the "getting in the marker" code is not ran after you reload your save - execution is already in the "select your weapon" loop. The key thing you realized is that there are actually multiple problems and you fixed only one of them. I don't really like your fix for the other problem, though. In general (outside of Firefighter), it can be dangerous to leave script fires. I will be honest with you - I don't have a nice and easy solution for that right now.
@@vofel I don't see why leaving script fires is dangerous. If it was created by the script, then the author of the script should make sure it is removed by the script every time that's needed.
The game disables ammu-nation while doing a rampage regardless of your om state, so applying the same for vehicle submissions (vigi, taxi, etc) is probably a decent enough fix for it (although there might be ways to bypass that) Another fix could be reducing the extinguishing range from 4000 to something like 50, enough to remove any threats close to the player and the shop keeper.
The first option works, so I'll count that. Although, I wouldn't block Ammu-Nation during Vigilante. The second option should work too, but it hides the issue instead of fixing it, in my opinion. The important thing to understand is that the game makes us safe in a lot of places, not only when we go to Ammu-Nation. This idea was also already suggested under the Russian version.
Well, if only there was a way to force them... So since that is not related to any strats (and SURELY not because I don't want to investigate a botomless pit) I'll probably decline that suggestion :)
