    You've taught me more about critical path analysis in 10 minutes than my teacher has in 10 weeks.

    If you take the lowest figure going back 11-3 does not equal 9 unless I am missing something

    45 min ago i did my lower year a level paper, and a question just like that was included. I thought I got it wrong but it was actually right. Have just made my day

    I am having my exam tomorrow and if someone could explain the diagram to me then it will be awesome. On 6:48, he mentioned that to calculate the LFT, we have to work backward and take the lowest figure, but he is taking the highest figure instead, I am confuse.

    • @tobysykes6370
      @tobysykes6370 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah me too, did you work out why in the end? I still don't understand

      Toby Sykes I just went to look for other video that explain it

    • @immiehunt9450
      @immiehunt9450 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you take the highest figure because then you get 00 in your initial node at the end

    • @Mochalatte69
      @Mochalatte69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      you should listen more carefully , at the very beginning he said for backwards you need to take lowest CALCULATED figure therefore it makes sense for him to take the high figure to subtract from which will lead to lower figure :) hope that helps

    isnt the LFT in node 3 suppose to be 12 because 13- 1( lowest figure) is 12??? idkk please clarify

    • @fareehatariq6441
      @fareehatariq6441 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      it is the lowest figure after subtracting. 13 - 1 is 12 and 13 - 2 is 11, therefore eleven is the lowest calculated figure that we consider for LFT.

    • @izzypiper2701
      @izzypiper2701 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@fareehatariq6441 so don't you take the biggest number to subtract? just like the EST? but u end up with a smaller number? x

    • @fareehatariq6441
      @fareehatariq6441 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@izzypiper2701 yes you take the bigger number to subtract because subtracting a bigger number will give you a lower value and LFT requires the lowest value to be used on the node.

    If you have float time on each route would you take the route with the lowest float time as the critical path or would you say there is no critical path?
