Amazing Vintage Otis Touch Sensitive Traction Elevators at The Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria B.C.

(Recorded March 2014) These beautiful elevators are in the oldest wing of the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Vancouver B.C. This part of the hotel was designed by the same person who designed the Parliament Buildings of British Columbia.
These were most likely originally hand-operated when they were first installed and modernized in the 50s or 60s. The other elevator was in-and-out of service the three days I was there.

Now those are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Otis Fixture Line leading from Series 1 and Traditional (aka Series 2+), then Lexan, then Black/Pre-Lexan. Great Vid and congrats on 10K+ Views ;).
