My true favourite experience was AM2R... Leave it to a fan to make a better Nintendo game than the company itself.

Something like Resident Evil Village is in my opinion a better horror survival first person shooter, Doom 3's mechanics almost feel like they're fighting with each other.

I have a very specific gripe with the switch. I'm in a work truck alot, I can connect my steamdeck to the truck Bluetooth and play games in surround sound where my switch never could.

I don't understand what it is with some Nintendo fans and the inability to grow out of the playground grade arguments. I've been a metroid fan since I was a kid playing fusion on my GBA, but that doesn't color my lenses for how I perceive an entirely separate genre of games. Even in prime's case, it's still a game built on exploration with occasional boss fights. Comparing that to a twitch shooter like eternal does just doesn't add up. It's just arguing for the sake of arguing.

Samus fights enemies designed for Samus to fight. Master Chief fights enemies designed for Master Chief to fight. DOOM Slayer fights enemies designed for DOOM Slayer to fight. You mix them up in any way and the main characters die. Samus is possessed, MC dies, DOOM Slayer gets infected with Flood. It’s almost like the player character is designed to fight certain enemies in a particular game.

I have Doom '16 on PC and the Switch. The Switch versions textures are HEAVILY cut down, but it does work. You can't really tune the gyro sensitivity high enough, that's my biggest complaint. But it is super sick on PC with +100 FPS and keyboard and mouse.
Back then that fool claimed to have a High-End PC saying he always had it, and just like Zaire he refuses to show what PC specs he has so we all know he's wrong about the game being "better on the Switch".

I don't understand what it is with some Nintendo fans and the inability to grow out of the playground grade arguments. I've been a metroid fan since I was a kid playing fusion on my GBA, but that doesn't color my lenses for how I perceive an entirely separate genre of games. Even in prime's case, it's still a game built on exploration with occasional boss fights. Comparing that to a twitch shooter like eternal does just doesn't add up. It's just arguing for the sake of arguing.

As someone who does have DOOM Eternal on the Switch: yeah no, it’s nowhere near the same level as the other consoles or PC. Like, yes, it is nice to have, but if I have to pick between the Switch or my SX… well that speaks for itself.

I've played the Switch version of Eternal. It looks decent on its own, but put it next to the PC version and it's obviously worse. It's still an impressive port, props to Panic Button for making it happen.

I feel like he could probably kill the Ing, but I'm not sure how well he'd fare as far as surviving the atmosphere. Then again, he can probably use Chozo and Luminoth upgrades to an extent (dark suit), maybe even scavenge some of the weapons lying around that use dark or light energy for the technical stuff (opening portals and the like).
I have Doom '16 on PC and the Switch. The Switch versions textures are HEAVILY cut down, but it does work. You can't really tune the gyro sensitivity high enough, that's my biggest complaint. But it is super sick on PC with +100 FPS and keyboard and mouse.
Back then that fool claimed to have a High-End PC saying he always had it, and just like Zaire he refuses to show what PC specs he has so we all know he's wrong about the game being "better on the Switch".
