Keeping it as a pet is fine as long as your not treating it as a dog/cat and you got the space - I've known people that have had small ones. They get pretty big though, them snapping turtles, and I imagine would be difficult to handle when they grow in size.

    A snapper laid eggs in our rock pile as a kid. We found the eggs when we were spreading the rocks out over the driveway… I grew up very country. We incubated all eight eggs and hatched them, feed them for a year, and released all but one that was missing an eye. That one we kept till it was three years old and big enough to fend for itself.

    This exact fight happened in my stepdad's canoe when I forgot to put the baby turtle back in it's bucket. The crawdad (crawfish) was what my stepdad was using for bait, and he let them run around in the middle of the canoe. This particular crawdad was five times the size of the first one in this video and the turtle was slightly smaller than the one in the video... the crawdad tried to claw the turtles face and before I could scoot over to grab them the turtle reached out and bit the crawdad's head off. I never questioned who would win this fight ever again. Easy win for the turtle, even with a big size disadvantage.

    Dragonfly larvae (although creepy to some) are actually really fun to keep as pets, especially the species known as Darner dragonflies. They eat things like Bloodworms, Mosquito larvae and small fish, and all you need is a small tank with some rocks and stuff and a stick that reaches above the tank so the dragonfly has something to crawl onto when it goes through metamorphosis

    • @yanliwei9300
      @yanliwei9300 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You wanna give them some fruit that's doesn't every month or two sure do that, just don't make it a staple of its diet. BUT it's really better to stick to it's ratios as all veggies it consume should also be 2:1..
      There are fruit that's fills their need fyi.
      Ex.
      Casaba Melons - 2.2:1
