Fun review! I love that you did push her through some corners. Have you driven the inline 6? I drove the v8 swb atb and an inline 6 sport, the swb 6 is 290lbs lighter than the swb v8 and I wonder if the weight savings helps with the performance? I would love a rigorous comparison between the 6 and 8 swb L460’s.

Notice how quiet it is inside vs the noise when he is outside. Quality.
I had it for about 8 months (with the inline 6). Great car. But I now have a 2024 X7 40i, and it has a better suspension, better handling, much, much better tech and is about as plush. I don't like the design of the X7 quite as much, but it overall is the more competent car for sure. Plus have a look at the 2024 Range Rover. They removed the terrain response dial and the climate controls (which were really cool with the push pull feature) and put all that functionality for cost saving reasons into the touchscreen. I would encourage Topher to compare it to the X7.

I am just not into these lack of physical controls. It actually distracts the driver from paying attention to the road. Cheap for the manufacturers but it's a road hazzard.

I feel the interior of the 2019 - 2021 is waay better than the later versions of rangerover

It IS a proper land yacht, though. Beautiful car. I think I am more partial to the RR Sport.

Not a fan of the slap on tablet that many manufacturers are incorporating. It just looks cheap and lacks the character of a form fitted designed dashboard. But the Range Rove still has that refined road presence.

I love Range Rovers and been wanting to have one since I was 10 ever since I saw a silver L322 driving on the streets.... That being said, this newer models look off from certain angles and a "limo" Range Rover makes no sense to me.
Had an interesting conversation with a Range Rover service engineer here in the uk a few weeks back. He summarised Range Rover vehicles as “beautifully designed, incredible specifications, highly unreliable”.

Not sure why but these do nothing for me. Maybe because you only see these on the road for a few years then never again. I do enjoy seeing the old Discovery 1 & 2 occasionally along with the RR Classic. Used to own 2.

that air suspension height is no joke. i work at a wheel and tire shop, and when we bring in land rovers, we have to lower the suspension to the lowest setting so we don’t blow out the suspension when we lift it. i was curious about how high it went once so i went to the max setting, and me being 5’7, i felt like i was getting out of my truck when i was exiting that range rover 💀

I find it ironic a company with a horrible track record sources a BMW engine. Not a Toyota ( and irony itself again how Toyota used a BMW engine in the Supra ) and yes I know these engines have been “tested” to say they are reliable.

Cross shopping $154k SE LWB and similar price 2024 GLS 63 AMG. The GLS has massage rear seats and a tablet for 2nd row and the engine is a beast! 0-60 in sub 4 seconds too. Very tough decision. Range Rover scares me from reliability perspective
GLS looks like a minivan and is what people drive when they cannot get a range rover

with the way demand is looking... i think it'll be closer to 10 years before you can get these for that price.

I have had both. 2023 Range Rover SE 7 passenger (with inline 6) and 2024 X7 40i. The Range Rover was very distintive and elegant. The better car, though, in terms of everything being pulled together in a cohesive way is the X7.
I hate BMW styling. RR all the way.
Drive them back to back…your mind will change very fast. Rover…the best 4x4x far.
