    Urban is in way over his head. His best attribute as a college coach was his ability to skirt NCAA rules. I guess that doesn't translate to the pros.

    I distinctly remember Pat McAfee saying for years that Urban would likely not succeed in the NFL because he would not be able to control the lives of the entire team because they are adults not college kids and that grown men who in many cases have made more money and are more successful then him would see through his constant BS. Given this season it seems Pat was 100% right

      Yes Darrell Bevell has had some great offenses and yes won a SB with the seahawks and Brian Schottenheimer had possibly the best offense in football the first half of last year and the moronic seahawks thought that was enough to fire him and hire someone who has no clue what they are doing. Bevell was Russel Wilson's coordinator for the first 7 or 8 seasons of his career and has proved he is good at developing young a QB.

      Russell came to Seattle already developed mostly. He turned 24 during his rookie season. He got better yes but as his salary went up, they had to discard great defensive talent.

    This guy is just another massively overrated college coach who got exposed in the NFL.
    Urban Meyer was successful in college because he knew how to game the corrupt, broken NCAA college football system. Not because he is actually a great coach or leader. He's basically the next Bobby Petrino. Odds are he'll make it through this season and possibly the offseason, but won't survive 2022. Any longer and he'd start threatening Hue Jackson's HC records, given his performance so far.

    I have a ton to be thankful for this Christmas season , Herbert is our franchise QB , the Bolts are in the playoff race , and my team didn't get this drama queen Urban as its coach !!!!     Fun fact: American Dad took a swipe at Urban Meyer by having Roger become an out of control college football coach and even had a scene where Roger had a random woman grinding on him in his bar yelling about how the woman isnt his wife. It's absolute gold

    Trevor Lawrence is a great example of a college qb shouldn't do... don't be flashy so that worst team in the league gets you... learn from Archie Manning who practically has to tell the Chargers don't pick my kid and ruin his future... ironically be like Herbert who got picked with little expectations and is now looking like the best young qb prospect

    As an overseas fan, I love the Nfl. Always felt for the Jags, whereas this whole Urban fiasco just translates back up to the owner for me. As an owner, you set the tone of what’s okay and what’s not. Is Urban and the way he reacts to adversity the ethos you espouse Mr Khan? Couldn’t care less about the Jags themselves, but as an Nfl team, I care. And this isn’t cool

    The ONE year that USC, ND, Okla, Miami, Florida, LSU, Oregon ALL have head coaching vacancies, Urban is otherwise busy losing NFL games and destroying coaching clout. He will likely never have an opportunity to pick and choose from some of the best coaching vacancies again. John Beilein did it best when he realize very quickly that pro sports is very different and took himself out of the Cavs HC position in months. Urban might struggle to recover from this experience.

    Urban’s problem is he’s been worshipped by everyone in every place he’s been. He’s arrogant and demands and expects respect, but doesn’t show much in return. Professionals don’t tolerate that.
