At just around 8 minutes in, your video raised a question in my mind. What, if any, are the general rules of direction of travel on these kinds of narrow trails and what is the accepted protocol for when you come head on with another vehicle or group of vehicles. I've been exploring Forbes State Forest in PA and some of those trails would have me backing several thousand feet (not my strong point) if I had come up against someone coming in the other direction. I'll be stepping up my off road challenges by heading to Bald Eagle State Forest next and want to make sure I'm following the general rules of the trails. Thanks for your videos. I've been enjoying them!
Thanks for the comment. This is definitely something that's always on my mind and a concern when doing these trails. I don't believe that there are specific rules regarding direction of travel. Having said that though In all the time that I've been exploring BESF I've only once come across someone coming from the opposite direction. It was a little difficult getting past each other but we got it done OK. Most of the time one can turn around without having to back up too far. If we ever do run into this situation I'll just put it down to being part of the adventure.
@@overlandadventures6763 I was talking to my son about the direction of travel a while back. I think he said at Bald eagle State Forest, it's kind of an unwritten rule that you try your best to travel the trails counterclockwise, if you were looking at them on a map with North at the top. Like you said, that'll be a part of the challenge if we run into it. I just don't want to be the guy making an ass of myself out there, as I'm somewhat new to this.
Love that you went there. Such a great spot!
Yes, I really enjoyed your recent video on the Canaan Loop

Hi, just wondering, how long do you reckon it took y’all to finish the trail?
Hi, we took it slow but managed it in about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. It’s a really nice ride. Hope this helps
Was your 4runner stock for this? I have a 2022 off-road premium and I'm wondering if I can handle this trail
Yes it was stock for this trail. I have a 2020 off-road premium. You’ll be fine
