The issue for UK users is this monitor is always out of stock and only 1 place sells it for £1400 delivered when it does come in stock for 15 minutes. The Alienware is £910 currently and in stock so £490 difference - my question therefore is - is this monitor worth the £490 extra you need to pay compared to the Alienware 32inch QD-OLED?
It appears SCAN have the exclusive deal for pre-ordering in the UK.. I checked a few months ago it was £1200 but ETA of April, its now £1350~ with an ETA of 30/07/24.. I'll wait until they're on the shelf and I can take it home from the shop.. But that'll probably be 2025!! 🤦♂🤦♂
Same in Australia. Its currently on sale for $2700 AUD here, whereas the Alienware is $1500 on sale (normally 1800). Not sure the Asus is worth the extra $1000.
@@emelen73 holy cow didnt realise Scan increased the price from the initial £1200. I've ordered the Alienware as I just cant justify an additional £490. If the monitor was available in more places, it could at least make the price competitive. Also not going to take the gamble with the Asus warranty..
I've had this monitor for months, and I'm really glad I decided to buy it. Been waiting for this firmware update, and it's finally here! It's definitely the best monitor I've ever used
Hoping this update comes to the Alienware 3225qf 🤞🤞. They really need to sort these qd-oleds out. If a razor thin 65 inch TV can reach 1k nits on a 10 percent window there is no reason why a 32 inch monitor a quarter of the size of the TV can't.. In fact they should be pushing the brightness even higher.
@owlmostdead9492 nits are a measurement of light energy per square meter. A 1000 nit monitor doesn't emit the same amount of energy as a 1000 nit TV. If this were the case you wouldn't see phones reaching 2000nits.
@@MA-jz4yc The bigger the screen, the more energy consumption but you also have more room for cooling, phones have small displays that don't use a lot of power, TV's are large but you can put a giant copper sheet in it for cooling. Monitors are in between with 4k and 240Hz, it's difficult to cool the panel in that size. My OLED monitor is 32" and a solid white image on full brightness is using ~200W of power.
Hello what is the input lag at 120hz in this monitor because I see that it is at 60hz 10.10ms and how does it relate to 120hz because I wanted to buy this monitor for xbox series x
It’s a shame that ASUS is such a trash company. I won’t buy their products. We shouldn’t rely on Steve from Gamers Nexus to force these companies to treat their customers with respect.
Well a little too late on these panel drops, Ive been in the market trying to get one of these 4k 240htz 32" panels from ASUS or MSI for like 3 months. Last weeks i finally threw in the towel and said EF the monitors ill just buy a S90D 65" and go back to couch gaming, call it a day. Maybe I'll look at these monitors when they stop using anti glare and matte finishes or boost the brightness. maybe ill throw it on my desk and pretend i have a monitor. while is sit at the other end of the room.
Dude! We know ASUS doesn't honor their warranties.....so just get an extended 3 year "walk into the store" warranty like I did. When you are spending that much money on the monitor, you can afford that extended warranty. It's too much trouble to ship it off to ASUS and I know they won't cover anything based on prior experience.
ASUS is a scary product. Expensive and prone to warranty claim issues. I believe this has been on other channels. So troublesome to go through legal terms if you need replacement. You may or May get your warranty. As a consumer, I don't want to even go to that trouble where they will always win.
Just had my PG32UCDM for only 2 weeks and the HUD of Dead by Daylight already burned in. Also had it only on 30 brightness and moved around the HUD with the scaling for even wear. Only 40-45 hours playtime, other 60-70 hours in between varied content. Did not expect it to happen this early. Fortunately still can return it for a refund.
Check out the new Gigabyte MO34WQC2. If its like the 32" with no surprises, then it bests the DWF by 75hz at 10 bit with no DSC (HDMI 2.1). You could also critique it with it not having HDR Console mode like in this Asus' latest firmware. What I personally like is no more need for a monitor arm, the stand provides several more inches of height.
I know some people swear by glossy screens, but it's true that if you're not playing in a dark room, it's really unplayable... By the way, this ASUS is currently up against the LG 480Hz, which is a W-OLED with virtually the same screen quality, and which has a matte screen.
i get sharpening whenever i move my camera in game. anybody know what this could be about? i've searched online but found no definitive answer. (i am using pg32ucdm). I noticed that in elden ring the sharpening stops when i turn on hdr and in red dead redemption 2 it stops when i turn up dlss sharpening all the way up. its weird.
All modern GPUs that have HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 can utilize something called DSC (Display Stream Compression) this is what allows 4k@240hz As for utilizing it My 4090 can dish out 4k ultra settings 250+ frames on many games i play like destiny 2 and rainbow six For less powerful GPUs or more demanding games DLSS and frame generation exists aswell
they do perfectly, in cod/apex I get 240fps easily, in apex even 300, with the 4090 those are 2 out of the maybe 10 games that are worth playing on such fps numbers On single player titles I cap the fps to 120 anyway, why wasting heat for those games where I want to enjoy the 4k pixels in HDR
As someone that use to game on a Sony XBR 930e, I think Im good with the brightness of these monitors. Them blue and purple dots I saw floating in the air, after gaming on it was the devils work. lol
@@andrewmorris3479 I’ve got an s89c so no fomo here. The 27gr95qe still looks great in low apl scenes. It’s only higher apl scenes it struggles with compared to my brighter displays, and the pg32ucdm would do worse in those scenes (only ~400 nits 10% window) so hard pass.
@@Keivz I’ve owned both and let me tell you the PG32UCDM is SO much brighter in SDR and HDR it’s not even close. It’s hitting close to 300 nits in SDR and HDR for an average APL for video games. That’s 100 nits brighter and that’s not counting lower APL games in SDR where you can hit north of 300 nits with various highlights.
@@andrewmorris3479 I am 100% hdr so I can’t speak to sdr stats. But the hdr numbers speak for themselves. Only in low apl content do these qd oleds have an advantage but 600-700 nits in low apl content looks great regardless. 400 nits 10% doesn’t cut it. Heck, 660 nits isn’t really enough either but it’s still better obviously (s89c does 1100+ nits in a 10% window).
It was already the best gaming monitor of 2024 in my opinion as its SDR performance and versatility made it the best I’ve ever tested. Two sRGB modes targeting a flat 2.2 gamma in Racing-sRGB and sRGB Cal targeting sRGB gamma all while maintaining excellent color accuracy and the ability to change color temperature and gamma if desired in Racing-sRGB. If you leave uniform brightness off you can game using Racing-sRGB and contend with ABL but hit almost 300 nits in game which is immediately noticeable going between it and sRGB Cal which disables uniform brightness. Then you can simply switch to DCI-P3 or Wide Gamut from Racing mode and still get 6500K with increased color gamut coverage. Now with this HDR update it’s hands down the best money can buy in 2024.
as of now im using the Asus ROG Swift 1440p 240hz OLED PG27AQDM. there is only one major problem with my monitor. and thats the gaming crosshairs. the size of them is insane. like you could use then on a 55" monitor. ive been considering the Asus 4K 240Hz OLED PG32UCDM ever since i got my hands on a RTX4090. but im kinda hating on asus rigth now since they dont wanna listen to us gamers and give us a small monitor update to fix the size of the crosshairs. i perfer companies that accually care about the customers and listen to our feedback.

I'm so glad I bought this monitor a few weeks ago. It has been great so far and now I can't wait to update the firmware and get even more out of it! Great news and looking forward to your final thoughts.
This is the monitor I bough 💪😎
I do hope they fix flimmering however, notice it a lot in Diablo 4. Only way to remove it is turn off adaptive sync I found out 🤷♂️
I got top-end pc and RTX 4090 (asus tuf oc), running monitor on 240hz in 12 bit colors, tried 10bit too. Only flimmer that bothers me. (Don't notice it in all games however). Like overwatch 2 zero flimmers.
How did you put it on 12 bit? I tried to put it on 12 bit on NVDIA control panel but it doesn’t let me tho.
@@joshyjorge07 You need hdmi 2.1 Cable. Displayport cabels do max 10 bit.
@@ZeZZooo Ohh I see yea I’m using display port rn thanks. I’m still in the fence on weather I will keep this monitor or not to be honest Is a bummer it doesn’t have DP 2.1 I no competitive gamer whatsoever tho but idk how much not having will cripple this monitor for the future.
@@joshyjorge07There’s no point as it’s only a 10 bit panel.
Should have bought the Alienware it’s much better and warranty is amazing not like asus lol
So how do i find good calibration settings for this monitor?
I went with the alienware and I'm happy with it
The issue for UK users is this monitor is always out of stock and only 1 place sells it for £1400 delivered when it does come in stock for 15 minutes.
Aw qf is way better and cheaper and Asus has literally no warranty
@@emelen73 holy cow didnt realise Scan increased the price from the initial £1200. I've ordered the Alienware as I just cant justify an additional £490. If the monitor was available in more places, it could at least make the price competitive. Also not going to take the gamble with the Asus warranty..
Just checked SCAN's UK site again, and now the ETA says 28/08/24.. What are ASUS doing?? 🤦♂🤦♂
they haven't won until they remove that ugly notch
I just hooked up my PC to our new 4k lg c3 65 inch and OMG I now really want a 32 inch oled gaming monitor. :)
Then one on sale from woot? Just bought it, arrives the 15th of July
Why for some reasons it is impossible to adjust image settings when HDR is turned on?
on the gigabyte monitor you can.
The msi was only 799 the other day.
They changed the displayport 1.4 to 2.1 with the update? 😂😂😂
Their hardware does not support it unfortunately. Maybe on the next gen of their QD-OLED.
I've had this monitor for months, and I'm really glad I decided to buy it. Been waiting for this firmware update, and it's finally here! It's definitely the best monitor I've ever used
Just ordered mine on the weekend should be here tomorrow
Na the LG poops on this.

Got the Asus XG27AQDMG Monitor and trust me its the best Oled experience you can get with a native glossy panel!
Alienware is better and the warranty isn’t a chocolate fire guard!
Should I wait for 32in woled with glossy display?
I have the alienware dwf ultrawide qd-oled monitor. it's amazing on the MB107 firmware update and it's like $777 too
It doesnt state that it has KVM, is that correct?
It has kvm
@TheDisplayGuy Does this have a Glossy or Matte finish?
glossy.
USB Hub does not work ( connected via usb C with macbook m1 max ). Any fix?
Prices in Poland:
ASUS PG32UCDM: 6790 PLN (1734,5 USD)
Aorus FO32U2: 5799 PLN (1481 USD)
Alienware AW3225QF: 4999 PLN (1277 USD)
For comparison: LG C3 65'': 5999 PLN (1532 USD)
Hoping this update comes to the Alienware 3225qf 🤞🤞. They really need to sort these qd-oleds out. If a razor thin 65 inch TV can reach 1k nits on a 10 percent window there is no reason why a 32 inch monitor a quarter of the size of the TV can't.. In fact they should be pushing the brightness even higher.
Look up TFTCentral’s article how to boost HDR brightness using a Dolby Vision hack for the AW3225QF.
Google the word energy density and what’s more difficult to cool, high density or low
@owlmostdead9492
nits are a measurement of light energy per square meter.
What is this video playing in the background with all the colors?
Got the Alienware a couple weeks ago $999 no regrets at all. 32” 240 OLED is definitely the place to be ATM 🤩
ASUS is a scary product. Expensive and prone to warranty claim issues. I believe this has been on other channels. So troublesome to go through legal terms if you need replacement. You may or May get your warranty. As a consumer, I don't want to even go to that trouble where they will always win.
This firmware as totally broken my monitor its locked at 120 refresh rate 240 as gone ? well done ASUS ...
It’s glossy, right? I don’t think he said if it was glossy.
Yes it is.
I have the 42 inch oled by ASUS and it bricked on me after a year and a half. Thankfully ASUS replaced it with a new one.
Would u wait for the PG32UCDP Or does this update help the PG32UCDM
This monitor has better 27 inch and 24 inch support then lg dual mode monitor but refresh rate stays the same across 27 inch and 24 inch mode.
HDR is garbage on this monitor, trust me. I had it and returned it. Brightness is non existent also.
I chose Alienware instead cause Asus has been really shady these days, can't recommend this brand anymore
Best monitor I have ever used, hands down, though I hate the reflection coming off of this in my room, curtains closed as much as possible.
Is it glossy? Semi glossy or matte?
@@CK-hp2tv i would consider this glossy.
I noticed that in elden ring the sharpening stops when i turn on hdr and in red dead redemption 2 it stops when i turn up dlss sharpening all the way up. its weird.
300 - 400 euro more expensive then the other options. I doubt its worth the price difference
Ordered mine for $3,000 11 weeks ago and still hasn’t arrived. Unreal
I just don't feel like the price premium is worth it in this case when the msi monitor is so much cheaper.
What a time for me to be in between jobs and not be able to buy this monitor right now.
Asus won nothing because this monitor hasnt been released yet for many countries
No current GPU can support 4k 240Hz.
They can, and do.
I run Halo 3 at 4K 500 frames a second.
depends on what games. comp games u can
All modern GPUs that have HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 can utilize something called DSC (Display Stream Compression) this is what allows 4k@240hz
As for utilizing it
My 4090 can dish out 4k ultra settings 250+ frames on many games i play like destiny 2 and rainbow six
For less powerful GPUs or more demanding games DLSS and frame generation exists aswell
they do perfectly, in cod/apex I get 240fps easily, in apex even 300, with the 4090
those are 2 out of the maybe 10 games that are worth playing on such fps numbers
On single player titles I cap the fps to 120 anyway, why wasting heat for those games where I want to enjoy the 4k pixels in HDR
is not asus on boycott list now?
at least for a year until they prove themself.
I’ll wait for a better deal, costs still 1500 in my part of the world
As someone that use to game on a Sony XBR 930e, I think Im good with the brightness of these monitors. Them blue and purple dots I saw floating in the air, after gaming on it was the devils work. lol
Mines is flickering when its black will this fix that problem ?
Just updated the FW.. tested with Netflix Bridgerton…Dolby Vision colour looks slightly less punchy than HDR10
Would love to see a video on what you have your settings at on this monitor. I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of this monitor. I love it!
I’m still on my 27gr95qe. It gets 660 nits 10% window brightness-I feel validated 😂
You’re missing out. I had the 27GR95QE for a year and this monitor absolutely blows it out of the water!
@@Keivz Your 27GR95QE does 140 nits with a 100% window though in HDR so ABL is much more distracting. I’m telling you it’s night and day.

Fantastic reviews - finally someone who knows it's stuff. Thanks!
as of now im using the Asus ROG Swift 1440p 240hz OLED PG27AQDM. there is only one major problem with my monitor. and thats the gaming crosshairs. the size of them is insane. like you could use then on a 55" monitor. ive been considering the Asus 4K 240Hz OLED PG32UCDM ever since i got my hands on a RTX4090. but im kinda hating on asus rigth now since they dont wanna listen to us gamers and give us a small monitor update to fix the size of the crosshairs. i perfer companies that accually care about the customers and listen to our feedback.
None of those figures are true hdr true HDR is 1000 nits plus
What's the correct setting in Windows 11 Calibration tool?
They does this firmware with the exactly same settings of the Aorus fo32up with there APL boost to stabilize the pick brightness
Input lag at 120hz and 60hz is still atrocious on the Asus. The Alienware is still better overall for gaming if you use Gsync most of the time
Nonsense.
