Ahhh, I remember this piece... Was my first introduction to Vivaldi as a somewhat arrogant teen, and he taught me a very good lesson in humility. A tough, but important lesson to learn. I feel that in most of Vivaldi's pieces - they always taught me something tough, but important. By the time I got to Winter I was both scared and excited to see what he'd throw at me THIS time! You did a wonderful job, better than I, even at my best. Thank you, sir, it was a delight to hear. And to all those learning this piece for the first time - don't despair if you struggle. Vivaldi is just teaching you something, that's all. Keep at it! You can do it!

@@stepfordjourneys I suggest you put your glasses on next time you watch this video. This concerto does not go beyond the 3rd position, and he also goes up to the 3rd position. But even if he did not, the quality of his playing must be judged against musical criteria and not sterile technicalities.
