    This is a dream find Z28 Camaro!!!
    My first car was a 1969 Firebird in highschool early 80s. I remember old classics were a dime and a dozen and cheap back then. Since us kids grew up around the muscle car eara late 70s and appreciated them. When I bought the Firebird it was already over 15yrs old off the original family that owned it. For its age at the time cars were still outlasting some of the new cars today as they are just throw away and buy a new one. As we ALL say "I wish I had kept her" but we just drove them like we should of and enjoyed them. I'll always remember my first car lots of memeories. 😎👍

    This looks so fantastic . This car got lucky that it got "found ". What a great year this was for Camaro. As always, watching these cars always takes me back to my high school days , eight track tapes playing , drive ins, everyone chipping in a quarter towards each gallon of gas !
    This car looks about as good as when it was born.

      I would only do what is necessary to get it roadworthy, carefully repair those wheel arches and drive it...it looks like a pretty solid survivor and with likely 90-95 % original paint car once done ...it would be a decent investment if the purchase price was sensible

He'll sell some day and you'll be at the top of the list. I "chased" my Trans Am for 13 years before he decided to sell. I was his first phone call. 👍

    For the "10 A 69" seatbelt code, 10 = 10th week of the calendar year. A = manufactured by Irwin Industries. 69 = 1969 calendar year.

    • @musclecarappraisal
      @musclecarappraisal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeffdean64. Thanks for the comment. You're the first person to do so with technical information. My hat is off to you. Obviously you were paying close attention. Thank you!! I lost my thoughts during the filming but corrected myself toward the end after reviewing the video. I'm human so I didn't edit it out or do a voice over. The "A" coded belts were all Standard Interior belts as that's the only belt manufactured by Irvin (originally called Irving). The Deluxe Interior belts were manufactured by Hamill Manufacturing out of Washington Michigan. These two companies are the only ones that made 1st gen. Camaro belts. The 9 for 1969 is up for debate and is most likely the year of the design as I have seen the 9 used for many years after 1969. Always looking to learn new things so don't be hesitant to comment. Thanks to all for watching.

I sold it to a friend of mine and he lost his license driving that car. I had to get rid of it because I got in a high-speed chase with the police it was fun while it lasted. Keep up the good work

      About that 69 Camaro engine... Was the car an SS, a Z28, RS, RS/SS? Big block or small block? Depending on what it is, it could be worth something. Oh, 4-speed or automatic?

      @@musclecarappraisal Automatic, I dont remember which. I had over 30 cars at the time. I dont make that much money anymore. I had some medical problems almost wiped me out. I had to sell most of my collection. I only have 3 of my show cars and 5 other vehicles left.

      If you can get me photos of the numbers like what you see in this video, I'll decode them for you. If you're interested in selling the engine and trans, the decoding will help. There is a market for "period correct" engines and transmissions.

      @@musclecarappraisal Thank you, I know ford #s better than Chevy despite having worked at a GM dealer.

      Great Question! I reached out to Jim Murphy yesterday...other than the motor nothing has been done yet.
