I would like to see the size pots you keep the bougainvilleas in. I love walking around clients yards. I learn so much from tuning in . Thank you for all the explanations and what plants you love.
Somehow I missed this tour and it has immediately become one of my favorites!! I love seeing how you incorporated the mango tree into the design. We do love our fruit trees down here. ❤
Thank you, watching this was a great way to top off the weekend! You wish you could grow hostas, here in zone 5 the Burle Marx philos are houseplants or "rich man's annuals". The grass is always greener...😀
I really enjoyed the video. I have 5 acres on the cusp of zones 8 and 9 in North Florida. I do get some cold weather in my area, but I've been wanting to give my property somewhat more of a tropical feel as I'm originally from South Florida. Providing the names for each of the plants is very helpful. It allows me to research and determine if the plant would do well in my area. So, thank you.
I’m so glad you find it helpful and I will try to remember to mention any plants within my landscaping that can handle cooler temps in hopes that might help those of you who are further north. Good luck to you.
Love all your work! What tree or plant would recommend to hide FPL meter box about 5ft high but not grow too high and hit power line that connects to house?
Great question Roland if you have about 10ft over all there and have good sunlight I’d use a Pygmy date palm. You’ll see them in this video behind the water feature. They can come with as many as 3-4 canopy heads and block something really well without growing the crazy height of your typical palm. If it’s a shady location you could use cat palms they grow to 8-9ft and great screeners.
Jennifer, you always knock it out of the park. We are renovating our yard as our Areca’s are diseased I was going to put in Travelers Palm however you mentioned that the roots are pretty invasive how far off of a pool wall would we need to be? Thanks.
Wonderful tour! Can blue my mind be propagated? I couldn’t find at my local Lowe’s or Home Depot/ garden center so I had to order on Etsy and sadly it was the last one left I ordered. I wanted 6 so wondering if I can propagate when it arrives. Tysm!
Recommendations for landscape lighting? Specifically, I’ve spent $$$ on lights that are supposed to be IP68 waterproof but they died 2 weeks into using. Company replaced and they lasted 6 weeks and now dead again, because water inside!
How does the average person maintain the nice neat look of those huge islands? I get the bushes are new and small but that mulch is going to grow weeds like crazy during the summer and the grass is going to invade it every time it rains.

I think you’ve sold me on the Pygmy Date Palm. It sounds perfect for our space.
It’s a great buffer Palm. Good luck to you
Those Jamaican crotons are gorgeous!!😍 Didn’t know crotons come in that colouration!
I know right I love their versatility they get brighter with more Sun and fall into that deeper purple look in partial light to shade.
I would love to see how you begin a new landscape ~ ground prep

How tall does the Triangle palm get? By the way I love your videos.
How does the average person maintain the nice neat look of those huge islands? I get the bushes are new and small but that mulch is going to grow weeds like crazy during the summer and the grass is going to invade it every time it rains.
I am wondering if you ever work with Plumeria trees? I am considering adding to my garden but they look difficult to grow in Florida
I’ve recently planted brazillian red cloak, at your suggestion. What do you advise I use in case of aphids?
I use Dominion drench any time I see any pests in the Garden it works great. Amazon or ( Do your own pest control) carries it.
what is the name of that plant climbing up the tree in one corner? the one with yellow green leaves?
If you’re referring to the one at 22:59 it’s a golden Pothos :)🌿
