It is my goal, my duty to visit every prefecture in Japan. and I saw tourists in remote places like Imabari, the Iya Valley, Karatsu Saga, Hirosaki and much much more.
Thank you always for the enjoyable and interesting conversations. I am always impressed by the breadth of your knowledge on various topics and listen with great admiration. It is surprising to hear that Americans find it difficult to chill and enjoy themselves in tropical places like Hawaii. I have always felt that Americans are very good at spending leisurely time with family and friends, enjoying conversations at a relaxed pace. As the heat becomes more intense, please take good care of yourselves😊Thanks as always😊
@wakameka3672 I think there are still people coming who are interested in Japanese culture, food, etc., but maybe now also people just choose Japan instead of a cheap S.E Asian, central American, or European holiday.
@@highbrand I absolutely agree. I'm really glad that the number of tourists visiting Japan has increased. However, I hope all of them respect our culture. I don't want them to look down on us as a cheap country.
Shrink inflation in Japanese is called ステルス値上げ meaning “stealth inflation” because they raise the price without the customer’s recognition. When the yen is weak, maybe try selling things on eBay. I think you can make good money depending on what you are selling.
Great conversation as always. I was shocked by the prices when I visited the US in February. I felt so poor myself. Japan is now totally left behind. Its position relative to other Asian countries has completely flipped. We all learn in Japanese elementary schools the saying 盛者必衰の理を表す, which has proven to be true.
I was listening to Austin about the foreigner's manner, and was like " Well said Austin!! People from outside of Japan should follow our rules while enjoying the trip", but then the train thing... 😂😂😂 Oh, then you are not the one to say🤣🤣🍺I hear you though I like him with beard btw!!
I’ll mention you guys, you never take pictures of Geisha on the streets whatever reasons, you shouldn’t even ask taking pictures to them. Geisha are not cosplay but they are working as professional artists. At these area around Pontocho, it’s not the places that allowing tourists get in. I’m so frustrated and sad to hear these kind of news. I have to travel domestic to see the beautiful nature and customs myself to burn into my memories before foreign visitors will destroy Japanese treasures. These are so sensitive and fragile more than you can imagine.
Hi Austin, I think you look better without beard. Also I would be happy if you could stop drinking in a regular train because I’d think “I don’t want to sit next to this uneducated person that smells of alcohol” or something. no offense, sorry. (And of course it doesn’t matter if he’s Japanese or not. I’d think the same way)

Yes, many tourists are visiting Japan just because it's a cheap option. It's like the English going to Spain, or Australians going to Bali.
I’m Japanese.
I’m sorry to hear that.I hope the main reasons tourist visit Japan are its culture, food, and nature not just because it’s chap.
