Hi Chris, I bought your book last year, very informative and entertaining too! To make the clutch action lighter and smoother you can leave off the finger springs at 17:14 they serve no useful purpose. I have three T150s including a race bike and I don't use those springs, the clutch is much nicer without them. Andy.

Thanks, Andy. I am indeed thinking of leaving those springs off. I also have the Triples Unlimited ramp modification fitted to my T150V. I'm not sure if the owner wants one on this engine or not yet. th-cam.com/video/TgY7wsvyeUg/w-d-xo.html

@@Chris.rooke150 Give it a try without the springs, it's a 5 minute job and you'll be amazed at the difference. I noticed the ramp modification, I also use them, every little helps when it comes to getting a T150 clutch to operate smoothly!

Hello Chris like the video but can you please tell me what type of motorcycle lift you bought and would you recommend? Cheers Clive.

I bought one from Machine Mart (Clarke) which is great for the money. It works well and is a Godsend. However, it's a bit narrow so I always get help taking bikes on and off it, and the front wheel clamp was pretty naff so I removed it. Having said that, if the lift were any wider it'd take up too much room in my workshop. Whichever one you buy, it'll be about the best tool for working on bikes you ever bought!

Tip for separating soft case halves is to use a plastic spudger tool. Look for those that would be used for professional repairs. These became popular with iPod and later iPhones screen repairs (when people got tired of using a credit card for that purpose).

Is that a T150 with an electric start? I thought only T160s had an electric leg!!

You can convert the T150 (and BSA Rocket 3) to electric start by fitting the clutch cover from a T160, adding a ring gear to the shock absorber unit and buying one of the aftermarket starter motors. Works great! 👍👍👍

I'm glad you like them, they're great! But I'm afraid that they were from Paul Field a fellow enthusiast who developed them for Tridents and he sadly died recently. It may be that someone else will take over supplying his parts, but I've not heard anything yet. If I do hear anything I'll let you know.

I've been informed that unfortunately the brakes are no longer available.
