Update... After starting the season 12-24, the Astros are 79-68 with 15 games to go. If they finish 11-4, they will end the season at 90-72. The Astros are 6.5 games behind the Yankers for best record in the AL and 9 games behind the Phillies for the best record in MLB. The Astros are also 4.5 games ahead of Seattle in the AL West and 4.5 games behind Cleveland for the number two seed in the AL. That is an amazing season.
With on ~10% of games left, 11 games over .500 is amazing... only considering our injuries. We got a big assist from the division, no doubt. Let's get that first-round bye
Yusei was a great acquisition. Astros have won all 8 of his starts since he came over. He's 5-0 with the 'Stros. His ERA 1.5 lower with us. His K/BB ratio is better.
Kikuchi not so dominate but still won the game. He's a much needed scrappy pitcher added to this rotation. What's Altuve's percentages of getting hits by swinging at the first pitch in a game? I wish he wouldn't unless he gets a hit over 50% of the time. I liked it when the 2017 team made the opponent's pitcher work and throw a lot of pitches. Get his pitch count up. The possibility of getting the starter out quicker can occur and then the 'Stros can light up their opponents bullpen. Swinging at 1st pitches almost guaranties the pitcher staying in the game longer. Glad Astros beat the Halos. Mariners won so there is still only a 4.5 game lead. I'm hoping after this series Astros have a 5.5 or 6 game lead. Thank God after the Padres the Astros have a 4 game series at MM with these same Halos and then 3 vs the Mariners. Would be great if Astros win the Division before the Mariners show up at MM. I'm starting to feel a bit better.
Would've been a perfect night except the Mariners came back from a 0:4 deficit late to beat the Rangers. Man, the Rangers should've taken a lesson from the Astros in this game on how to hold on to a 4:0 lead. 😂
Altuve, Diaz, Alvarez, Tucker, Pena, Heyward, Bregman, Singleton, Dubon would be my playoff lineup with Valdez,Kikuchi, Arrighetti, Verlander and Brown being the rotation. Id like to see a consistent lineup approaching the playoffs but I hate seeing Yordan in the 2 hole, and Bregman is just having a terrible year.
@@Asmoore81 Great hitter and McCormick doesn’t belong in the same sentence. Ok, he did well in the last two games against Arizona, going 2 for 4 and 3 for 4. The first game, 0 for 4. The seven games prior to his “great hitting” 2 game streak, he was a 5 for 20, hardly a great hitter buddy.
I heard Justin Verlander pitching Saturday. That game is over in 4 innings. JV should not be on the team, they riding his name. His fastball 92,out the park. Dude like 40,, Astros don't make the playoffs look back at JV, 0 for 3,,,4 runs a game he gives up. TRASH.
Thanks Chili!!
Thank you Chili....you the best!
Caratini is a good hitter. Having him and Yainer in the same lineup always fares well for us.
Agree!!

That number two seed is still within reach.
They ain't going 11-4 lol.
@@bobbygetsbanned6049we will see how well this comment ages.

Yusei got the word that Houston will pay their pitchers and has been superb since signing.
Thanks again Chili Man!!!
Kikuchi looked off at first but settled in nice. Good to finally see Tucker back in the outfield, I just hope it's not rushed and his leg is ready.
Praise Chili 🙏🌶️

It was definitely NOT Altuve’s night
Funny how Kikuchi went from being one of our most hated acquisitions to one of our most reliable starters.
Goes to show what the couch GMs know
Going for the sweep and we are one step closer 🧹🧹🧹
Try to win the last 15 in a row.
I guess we just suck against the A's and Reds 😂 havent beat Cincinnati since 2015, and the A's just hate us for some reason lmao.
Yeah, because we’re been kicking their asses for a long time the last several years!
Nah, I’m not gonna lie. I don’t think it’s weird….you and I!! Lmao

AIR YORDAN🚀🔥🔥
Nice to see our relievers finally looking great! Bregman looking good, Yordan hitting the ball well. Thankfully, McCormick getting benched!
Mccormick hurt and also has been a great hitter recently.......lol

Look at the Jordan home run, they ball came out of the man's glove, how frustrated when he looked but not there☹️Things happens.
Bout time the Stros start kicking a$$ again!
Just win all the games
👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Pena played above average defense… I guess getting spanked by the green goblins from Oakland was a good wake up call.

3rd 😎
1st!
yo chili wtf man stop showing replays of the opponents homeruns we are not trying to see that smh
@@RealTH-camHustlers
Game highlights, yo.
@@JustLikeHeaven77 I don’t care if he shows the opponents homer just when he replays the homerun multiple times is the problem 🤦♂️ now you understand
Let's go Houston Astros
Some of the Astros do some stupid crap on the bases trying to stretch a single into a double is dumb
Yeah, Altuve has always been a bit dodgy in his base running. Fortunately, he makes up for it in many ways!
Did Trout retire? lol
