- Pretty happy with this run!
Should have reset after hedge lab (think my spacebar is on the way out) but this run turned out good in the end. Sub 40 is doable with minimal mistakes, skipping B clearance chest, cleaner termites and setting my spawn back at the lean-to before buying splatburst, so I wanna come back to this run soon.
Sorry for the delay too btw, was ill for a good few days. Back on it now though!

First of all man hats off to you. This is art I literally can't believe how smooth some of the actions are and what a good route it is...
Second, please make a full boss Speedrun that would show some more combat and getting the Apex predator mutation. I wouldn't ask if you weren't such an obvious pro, but I would even like to see a full game Speedrun with all bosses and ending up by growing and finishing the game :)

That is actually a run I wanna do, all bosses + story + grabbing some tapes along the way for story context. I think individual boss runs will happen before all bosses, guess I've got some work to do...

My friend always hated the sound he made when eating so I always picked him just to gross him out and ended up sticking with him! Been a while since I played the others but I think it was Willow whose attack combo noises were super annoying as well
try doing mushroom percent where you need to get a mushroom chunk or toadstool chunk
Can ants chop mushrooms when they attack? Otherwise that might be a surprisingly long run

I was the same many moons ago! I would recommend getting like 10 of the aphid/weevil/gnat/whatever roasts each because they're great for heals

I love these videos so so so much, they show just how much work ethic this man has, my favourite thing to do is to imagine him doing this on a fresh playthrough with friends just for them to realise after like 50 mins that hours of work has been done in under 3/4 of one

Unlucky with that jump to the zipline at the end of the Hedge Lab, I miss it all the damn time as well. Nice to see you managed to implement that jump from Hedge Lab to Moldorc Highlands though
How do you always seem to have your Wolf Spiders asleep when you go to Oak Lab the first time? I always need to run around because they’re awake

Mate that jump's got me spooked which in turn makes me fail it more haha, needs some dedicated practice. Oh yeah forgot to credit you for that, haven't checked how much time it actually saves yet.
I dunno! They've been asleep a lot for me recently. Used to regularly have one stuck on my workbench when I first come back out of oak lab but he's not shown up for a while. Now it's usually an orb or a junior instead
Shortly after 1.0 one of the patches Obsidian put out made it so that the Wolf Spiders of the lower yard don't "activate" for the first two days. Even at night they will chill at their home location.
@@literatemax Yeah I know that but for me they often just sit under the tree awake, forcing me to run around to avoid them which is much slower
@@zylo4029 I may have mentioned it to you already but just in case, there's a bug where the wolves can sometimes be asleep while standing up in an awake idle animation. If you've tried going in while they're doing that and they still aggro you though then I don't have any answers, as literatemax said, that shouldn't be happening on the first couple days!

Holy cow dude. I mean. What??? The amount of times you had to attempt this to get that smooth would have given me brain damage. Also. Why bother make the termite axe? Cant you just run in without it?
Think it was about 20-25 actual attempts, some of which ended halfway through. I forgot to give Burg.L the pond chip and buy splatburst before heading to haze like three times in a row, and on that patch it killed the runs because my only way to get back to him after haze lab was run. Oh yeah so that's why I added the extra split to remind me to turn it, then I started forgetting to grab enough bratburst...
Need termite axe to break the splinters to get in. Used to be able to squeeze through but they patched it. Maybe it's possible but I've tried since and not personally been able to

Haha allll calculated. Paraly5er found the route through depth's mouth with merteen but fin flops work too and are faster to get I believe. Just takes a bit of testing and adding in some spider kills for air where necessary!

Like speedrun the full story or a regular let's play? Dunno if I could do a let's play tbh, I played so much of early access that after beating all 1.0 had to offer I feel no desire to stick with the game other than to speedrun it. I appreciate your interest though!

Very nice with the stump outpost, was wondering how I could get it without advancing too far in the story side of content while waiting for my friends. Do you by any chance know if using any type of method like with the acorn shells would work with the prod smacker after the most recent patch they had?

Prod smacker's in the locked room after defeating AsMan right? Ummm I think I remember reading something about them fixing some collision issue that let you grab it through the wall, can't think of how the acorns could get you in there or just help you reach it. They are pretty glitchy though so maybe you could oob with them!

All Chips run sucks now because for glitchless you need to anger the wasps, and door glitches got patched so without another method to go out of bounds a glitched run isn't even possible

Hahaha thanks bro. For fast chopping just tap block immediately after your third hit lands which in turn will let you attack again immediately

I use this for EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!!😆 the shovels are SOOO slow which is where I started utilizing this for underwater stuff bc no matter what it’s 2 hits.
But I guess bc everything is one hit for me I didn’t even think about it lol. But obv you play without any mutations so yeah.
