- Israeli tanks pushed deeper into Rafah on Tuesday as the conflict with Hamas intensifies. They reached some residential areas of the southern Gazan border city where more than a million people had sought shelter.
Meantime, new reports indicate the Biden administration has told key lawmakers it would send more than $1 billion in additional arms and ammunition to Israel. White House officials, including U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan, are expected to visit Israel and Saudi Arabia this weekend.
