I just had my IKEA Illo chair by Niels Hammelgaard reupholstered in leather. I got it for free when I worked at IKEA in 1987. It turned out beautifully.

The demand for 1980's IKEA pieces is actually growing. Guess most of them have been thrown away by now, and the supply is not that big.

Agree. It's really annoying IKEA wont reveal the names of the creators who designed most of their vintage design objects.
