Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you've all had an amazing time - get anything Bleach-related? Let me know! Also, what did you think of TYBW Episode 38, and the battle between Bazz-B and Jugo? Was this the most beautiful episode yet? Give me your thoughts in the comments - thanks!
Robert was stripped to the bone. Both in the manga and anime. Last place we saw him was on an incline gazing up at the soul palace. During auswallen we see a figure on an incline hit by auswallen. And then we see the skeleton on an incline up close. That was Robert. Not Nanana like most think. Nanana was unconscious against a wall laying on his side. Not flat on his back on an incline.
44:29 The thing that strikes me about Jugo and Bazz's falling out is that it's all about the powers that Yhwach gave them. He is, after all, the father of the Quincy, the origin point of this particular form of spiritual power in humans. Bazz's pride in his talent as a Quincy Genius made him who he was, and the lack of that power made Jugo a pariah, a victim, and easily manipulated. You said it felt super dark when Jugo picked up that sword as a symbol of all he gained when Yhwach burned down Bazz's world, but what chills me is that jealousy over the identity he's build around Quincy power makes Bazz forget all he's lost in a instant. His life becomes about defeating Jugo and proving that he was great from that moment, as we see when he spends all those years trying to provoke a fight that Jugo won't give him. And then, when Bazz dies, he says "Losing to you wasn't so bad." He only realizes his mistake once its a thousand years too late. Their story is an exemplar of the fate Ywach wrote for the Quincy as a 'species' (for lack of a better term) because to him, their creator, they only existed to facilitate his revenge and ambitions against the Soul Society.
Merry Christmas, Tommo! I wish you and your family all the best in 2025. - You’ve been grinding like crazy for years, and I respect everything you’ve managed to accomplish in the BLEACH community. I wish you good luck for the future.
The highlight of this episode was the long awaited introduction of Yhwach's majestic horse. Horse sama was able to withstand immense spiritual pressure just like the elite Quinceys. Scaling above the majority of the Bleach characters. Truly a horse fit for a God. We need a backstory for horse sama and why Yhwach chose him.
I always wondered why they even needed horses when no other faction ever used animals/cars or any form of transport since they can move that fast on their own. Guess it was just to look cool.
it could be possible that the reason Bazz b's shrift manifested as pyrokinesis could be due to the trauma of seeing his home burned down by Yhwach while Jugram's schrift could have manifested as luck transference out of his desire to escape the misfortune and trauma done to him by his uncle
Really good observations. It's possible Bazz-B's Schrift, The Heat, was given to him as a backhanded gift. Yhwach may have given him the Heat to remind Bazz not to step out of line.
@@RealLifeIronMan i don't think Yhwach can control what power each quincy gets, he probably just give them their name and letter but the power is out of his control,or what's stopping him from giving every solder an op power
@@Shady_br Arguably every Sternritter does have an OP power. It is a little ambiguous but it seems Yhwach gives the name to each power before he bestows it. What else could a shift called "The Heat" do? It really could only manifest as flames or heat powers. And even if the power was determined by the person who received it, before the first war, Yhwach had the Almighty to change reality to make it a power he wants them to have.
@@RealLifeIronMan He definitely can but I feel like he wouldn't go out of his way to use The Almighty to change the future just to change the Schrift. We get some strange Schrift like The Question and The Roar. All of the Schrift also fit their respective Sternritter's personalities and their past, so I think Yhwach didn't change anything and just gave them powers based on their souls. Based on what we've seen from some of the Sternritter's history, it seems true for Bazz, Jugram, Äs Nödt, and even the Lloyd brothers that their past is related to their Schrift.
I like the idea that Jugo "defied" fate here by breaking out of the flame ring but I also see it in a tragic light that this was his last chance to turn towards a good fate and that by defeating Bazz-B he locked in his fate to die.
I like that we got to see Yhwach's brutality on full display when they showed Bazz's castle being attacked. It's no wonder he was so consumed by revenge after witnessing his loved ones be mercilessly slaughtered.
I really like the part were it seems like Yhwach saw Bazz when riding away after destroying his home. It made me think that everything he did in regards to Bazz and Jugram, was because he used the Almighty and saw what would be the best way of both breaking the bond between the two and how to make Jugram loyal to himself. Which adds a dark layer of manipulation to a Villain who mostly relies on his power to succeed. It is a interesting angle to consider, I think.
The flashback confirmed that Schrifts and Vollständig came after the first war. We haven’t seen a familiar face in the friends flashback. I really do feel like the reason why Bazz b and Haschwalth had a backstory out of all the other Quincy, is because they supposed to echo Ichigo and Uryu’s dynamic. How they will do things better since there was always a mutual understanding.
This is reinforced when you consider that Bazz-B has a birthday a day before Ichigo's and Haschwalth has one a day before Uryu's. Clearly intentional, like how how both Sternritter's Schrift letters are also the first letter of each other's names.
@@MaigenMaylight one might argue that this is a issue on Kubo’s side. That Bazz b and Haschwalth don’t have their own footing and stance in this story aside from meagerly resembling other characters. Other rivalries in Bleach feature characters with their very own distinctive themes and significance. Aizen(übermensch) and Urahara (letzter Mensch) Grimmjow (destruction) and Ulqiorra (loneliness) Kyoraku (responsibility) and Ukitake (sacrifice) Knowing these characters stories is important to understand how the world in Bleach functions. Kubo already mentioned that he isn’t fond of sob backstories. Who the other 25 sternritters were as people and where they came from doesn’t seem to be a story worth telling. They are supposed to be extensions of Yhwach rather than their own individual self’s. We can assume that they were all outcasts in a way and by joining the army were granted a new identity. Only to fight in Yhwach’s war, die and serve as nourishment I never liked Bazz b but I feel like he technically didn’t need to die here. Haschwalth could have just dismantle him, provide first aid and store him up till the war is over. This is coming from someone who wanted Jugram to survive the story and start genuine negotiations with Shunsui. Who wanted to serve him fine tea. He is basically Quincy Byakuya so there was bound to be a lot of development. The Naruto series has always had repetitive backstories that are meant to resemble the main dynamic of Naruto and Sasuke. It can be entertaining but gets boring.
It's interesting how Bazz calls Jugram a traitor when Jugram had to have felt the same way about him back in their childhood. Honestly, the flashback made me empathize more with Jugram. What happened to Bazz was tragic and of course he’d want revenge, but seeing Jugram’s life before meeting Yhwach was really depressing. Jugram was essentially a lost puppy with no talent, even when he finally thought he found a friend. Even after Yhwach reveals that Jugram is his other half, Jugram looks to Bazz (his friend) for guidance, only to receive contempt in return. If their goals had been aligned, Bazz-B would have been happy that just one of them had gotten close to Yhwach. However, the fact that it was the "failure" and not the "genius" who succeeded flipped that expectation on its head. Even if Jugram were to improve, Bazz would still see him as inferior. This perspective suggests that Bazz mostly saw Jugram more as an underling than a friend. Understandably, Jugram would choose to follow the man who finally recognized his worth and gave him purpose after a betrayal like that.
Bazz was a terrible friend. He never asked Jugram how he felt or what he wanted to do. Bazz showed his true colors when Yhwach revealed that Jugram was special, not him. If only Bazz did what a true friend would do: try to understand and fix that broken mess that Jugram was. Instead, Yhwach gave Jugram purpose and validation, something he desperately needed his whole life. I don't feel bad for Bazz at all, he got what he deserved and while Jugram will also deserve his fate, I actually feel bad for him.
The Quincies are a example of how friends should not be. Ichigo and Uryu have always been aware of each other’s thoughts and feelings from the very beginning. Even if they didn’t want to admit it
Bazz B had an ego but u can’t blame him completely for that because he was only a “genius“ because Jugram was giving him more power the whole time. Bazz B could have abandoned Jugram but didn’t. Jugram was the one who robbed him of any opportunity of getting revenge for his families slaughter by murdering him….and let’s be real it doesn’t get any worse than that. Both Jugram and Bazz B were bad friends to each other.
@@Krys9707this. Don’t forget Jugram probably knew about the Awschwalen too plus he could have voiced his opinions and objections at anytime too. Sadly the abuse did its work and his codependency kicked in
Man Bankast and Mr.Tommo dropped both they're detailed hour long Bleach reviews on the same day.. I needed something to listen to while I clean the place up.
As an anime only bleach fan I’ve slowly learnt that even people who’ve read the manga barely know much lore about the Quincy’s and the history of bleach… hopefully the anime adds some more new lore.
This flashback should have been the ultimate Quincy exposition. All we know is that Yhwach himself was always treated as a mythical figure. Children didn’t believe he was real until they saw him.
Yeah, the manga was being rushed around this point so all the manga content from here on out NEEDS to be heavily expanded on. Thankfully that's what we have cour 4 for.
Only thing missing was a cameo from Robert and maybe Quilge. Also a motive for Yhwachs invasion of Bazz's castle would've been nice, but I think it's easy to come up with several possible motives on our own that it's fine. Also, I wonder if we'll ever learn anything about that quincy girl we've seen twice now or if she's just meant to be a background character. I just love the way that it turns out Jugram, who has been made to feel like garbage all of his life, is actually the same type of quincy as the notorious quincy king himself. Not only that, but Bazz seemed to be seething with hatred when it turned out he wasn't the stronger one, so it makes sense why Jugram stuck by Yhwach's side.
Quilge, Robert and Lillie should definitely have made an appearance. As for the motive , I think Yhwach was trying to unite pure blood families under his reign for more political influence in the world. Which ended with his defeat at the hands of the og Gotei.
@@Isiel42 considering his army slaughtered the Black clan, he knew who Bazzard was. Though he robbed him of his identity and gave him a new one when he bestowed the „heat“. It would have come off as a provocation and Yhwach isn’t the type of guy to start a barrel
I low key think that deep down, Bazz-B knew he wasn’t going to win this fight. That’s why he wasn’t really mad that Jugram beat him. And he just taunted him to fight as a way to be around him because he actually viewed him as a friend and was still trying to be friends. 🥺
@@JuviaLockser12 in a way he was. But he’d rather throw himself into the sword instead of being at the shinigami mercy. It was a desperate measure, Bazz b didn’t really know how to kill Yhwach nor would he have a tool
Jugram didn't fully witness the destruction of Bazz's castle just the same way Bazz didn't fully witness the abuse Jugram got from his uncle. At the end of the day, it's a tragic story for the both of them.
The Quincy King shows what an outsiders perspective of Christianity might be (especially in the case of Japan) (Auschwalen?) This much like how judgment day brings the ascension of the chosen (The rapture) and the desolation of the rest (Judgment day/End times)
So if Bazz and Jugram WERE around during 1000 years ago…how did they survive? Why were they not killed by the OG Gotei Captains? I don’t believe Kubo has addressed this but this past episode would’ve been the perfect time to show that flashback.
Not to mention how did they retain their youth. Sasakibei is an old man by the time the TYBW starts, they should look much older. Maybe time works differently in the shadow realm?
Ive been wondering this as well. Just like Bleach's power scaling, the varying age discrepancy in terms of how they progress... Baffles me@@shawnboahene5231
14:37- while Arrancar do kill each other and Aizen does kill some- it’s treated more like a continuation of their previous animalistic forms where the survival of the fittest is the law and the latter just saw them as pawns of a lesser race. The Wandenreich/Vandenreich are more heinous as the chosen turn a blind eye to their lessers being killed on the whims of their founder who is of their same race- making it all the more heinous as its people of the same race turning against each other for the most arbitrary reasons- which is a far more human kind of evil- Even if one of the chosen is a sapient hand of god
50:30 I didn't see it that way at all. I saw that as Jugo being so engrained in Yhwach's rules and dogma that he uphold his rules with an iron fist. I don't think he felt anything for Bazz with that statement.
Great video as always hope your holidays have been great. As always this episode was incredible that scene with the og ss members slaughtering the black clan was my favorite part of the episode that Quincy girl is such a badass my one teeny tiny complaint is not seeing Cameos of guys like Lille , Robert , Quilge maybe and maybe the royd lloyd twins due to them recognizing the original ss members
This episode is storyboard by 都留 稔幸 (Tsuru Toshiyuki ) or recently he liked to use 黒津 安明 (Kurozu Ysuaki) same as TYBW episode 7 is also by him A veteran animator since 1980s, most known for working on Naruto, from animation to directing to storyboarding, most Naruto opening and endings are from him (15 openings and 17 endings), like go!!, sign etc
Anyone saying that Yhwach or Haschwalt are good or noble are just confusing themselves liking a character with that notion. That, or they're just edgy. It's almost like people who tattoo the Joker laugh on them or side with the Joker; again, cool to like character, but that does not make them good, or someone you should understand and agree with. Even knowing all we know, there is no justifying Yhwach's actions, or Haschwalts'. That being said, they are great characters to enjoy in a fictional environment.
@@LightKeyDarkBlade my bad, I meant to say it's one of the few that's written in kanji based on the meaning of the symbol rather than the sound of it ^^
@@maykstuff You mean how the kanji is written? Well, the surname 涅 itself does mean "black soil" but it's normally not pronounced as "kurotsuchi". How you would normally write "black soil" is directly 黒土, which can also be pronounced as "kurotsuchi", which just comes from the characters 黒 (kuro, "black") and 土 (tsuchi, "soil"). So yeah, both the kanji and the pronunciation mean "black soil". But normally, no matter how fancy the author Kubo writes the kanji and the pronunciation, the meaning is always based on the kanji in Japanese.
Thank you for all your hard work during this festive week! I'm really looking forward to next review, given that it will be a 1 hour special, we might be delighted with a 2 hour long review
I wonder how Haschwalth’s life would’ve gone if he had lived for himself rather than for his uncle, then for Bazz, and then for Yhwach. I guess him being Yhwach’s “other half” means that Yhwach would’ve always found him eventually, so maybe he was just always destined to end up under the Quincy King
@@zephyr1249 Yhwach was looking for him. He would have taken in young Jugram sooner or later. If Bazz b would have come behind the abuse, he would’ve wanted his family to adopt him.
Kubo doesn’t like to give sob backstories. I really do think that in regards to the other 25 sternritters, there’s literally nothing worth mentioning. Who they were and where they came from wouldn’t be substantial to the story. Think about the significance of Ukitake‘s backstory
@@Matt-o2m4c not a chance bro. You want a backstory on them while their sorry dead asses are getting murdered? That would just create false sympathy for the Bambis. @@Grayson-WinchesterFor the most part I agree, but then you have a few sternritters that are just too unique and different. Like BG9 who is a sentient robot capable of using Quincy abilities. Why is there only one? Also we have a brain in a jar that can warp reality. Those two deserve some sort of recognition and explanation at least.
27:00 Everyone's a hero in their own story, In the eyes of the Quincy King... He is doing whatever it takes to put things back the way they were before. The flashback with the Quincy King facing Osho, really sold it for me. Yes he's cruel, What he did before he invaded the soul society could also be seen as evil as well. What is one or a dozen or a thousand deaths against eternity? Like those humans who have lived and died before the coming of the Messiah, They are a necessary sacrifice for the greater good of all that exists. The way he described hearing their pleas and their screams and their cries as they died. How terrible how awful of a power the Almighty must be, to know everything is to know all the pain in existence. To be aware of every injustice before during and after one's life... To hear their every cry to hear their every scream... How the king did not go insane is a miracle. (Y'all might say I'm drinking the Kool-Aid but the man's got some points, death seems pretty bad when you know exactly where they are going... The soul society isn't the perfect place as shown previously)
Burner finger 6 would have allowed Bazz-B to read the room. Yuha’s raid saved Jugram from his uncle, so there was no revenge arc. Also, Jugram looted his sword from the charred corpses of Bazz-B’s people. They were never on the same side.
i'm just hoping they don't canonically killed Bazz-B and the other Quincy that invaded off. They seem to be trying to legitimately kill every Quincy off even if they survived initially, and it would be a waste of character development and storytelling for all of them to die and send Uyru and his dad back to being the only ones.
Is it possible that the Quincy girl Nikita is somehow related to Lille Barro, maybe Lille's mom? I know Lille is 1000 yrs+ old, maybe Nikita is pregnant during the first war, that's why we didn't see her during that time. We didn't know if the Sternritters already have a shrift during the 1st blood war, we didn't see Jugo and Bazz B either. So maybe that's a reason why Yhwach still called Jugo his first son cause he's the first sternritter he recruited, while Lille is the first sternritter he given a shrift
How does Lillie even fit into this timeline? He prided himself with being the first Quincy who was ever bestowed a Schrift. Yet was never mentioned even though he should have been the legitimately most powerful Quincy who has ever lived after Yhwach
The culmination of a friendship turned rivalry. It's interesting how, in the end and despite everything, Haschwald had an epiphany and made arrangements with his lady companion to evacuate any and all remaining Quincy. He ensured the survival of the Quincies and now she has become their de facto leader in the human world.
So regarding the name Nikita Deathlok, I actually did some sleuthing today. Not too long ago, Dali Chen, a staff member for TYBW, posted a tweet explaining that he drew Nikita when they were going through character settings for production. He then made mention that the unnamed Quincy girl's name was Nikita Deathlok. Keep in mind that Chen's tweet is now deleted for whatever reason. Now, here's the thing about that; There was a joke Reddit post mentioning that exact name from over a year ago. So to me, this sounds like Chen just picked up that name from elsewhere and used it unofficially. That's also probably why it was deleted to avoid confusion when/if her name actually gets revealed. So yeah, that's not her official name.
It's just too troublesome that Kubo decided on a mere 1000 years perood as the soft beginning and history of many orgazations/ storyline. 1000 years is not alot in even human history, it simple diminished depths of those things. It's kinda crazy the Gotei 13 was formed around this time with its original captains and Yamamoto was only in his middle age. 1000 years, Yamamoto grew from a middle age man to a silver hair sage like old man, while Baz only grew from a teenager to a hotheaded Renji style adult. Trying to fit everything and anything into the 1000 years mold just raises so many discrepancies and questions
I once thought up an idea for a story where Bazz-B defected from the Wandenreich in order to pursue his revenge against Yhwach, with him hiding out with the Ishida for a while. He ends up traveling the world, or at least getting some help, to find other Quincies in his quest for revenge, with him finding Lili, Candi and Mennie, but just like what happened with Haschwalth, his own selfishness and ego destroys any relationship he could have formed with them. I once didn't want to use this idea because I always thought that Bazz-B was too selfish of a person to really help the Heroes, given how much he uses others for his own benefits, but I ended up keeping the idea around and he caused even more problems for everyone. Sorry for that ramble, I just want to say that MrTommo got what I exactly thought of Bazz-B, a man who was truly screwed over by Yhwach but also ultimately screw over everyone around him. Great character and great video from Tommo, as always, hope you had a great holiday btw.
@@ezra1735 Bazz b never went looking for a way to end Yhwach after he lost the first war. When he was turned dormant or weakened. There should have been a opportunity to extract his revenge even with Haschwalth around. In his last moments I think Bazz b didn’t care about his revenge and just wanted to end his score with Jgram. @Grayson-Winchester exactly, his egoism would probably destroy any relationship he could form and yes, he most likely just wanted to settle his problems with Haschwalth instead of seeking revenge.

It's rather funny when you actually start analyzing haschwalth's character a little... and you realize the guy is a complete loser. He lived his entire life following others, fooling himself into thinking he was actually making his own decisions and living acordingly to his own values, and then died betrayed, miserably and uneventfully. So, about Yhwach being 200 years old... does that imply that the current World of Bleach is only 1200 years old ? We saw Yhwach existed in the primordial sea, right ? Or maybe Yhwach took longer to reincarnate ? My personnal theory is that all the Special Quincies like Yhwach and Jugram that were born and slaughtered before were possible incarnations of Yhwach, and that it took them really long to miss one
As far as we know the current world is around 1,000,000 years old by the time of Bleach. Yhwach may have needed longer to make a name for himself since he started from scratch. It took the lives of countless people to abandon his dormant infancy. The Quincy lore is very iffy imo
as someone whos never read the manga i didnt hate the episode i just didnt really care for it the back story was depressing but i have no emotianal connection to etiher of them so i didnt really care who won or lost
I found a little bit odd that we are talking about 1024, so technically 1000 years ago or even more, and all looks like 19/20th century. Guns, outfits, even the overall landscape, they could have tried. Anyway, it is a show about Japanese soul reapers killing all sorts of stuff, so what do I know...
Bazz just didn’t stand a chance against Jugo huh. I was hoping for a lil bit of sword play action when he used burner finger 4, but my man lost his arm right off the bat 🤦🏽 I really appreciate the flash backs and back story every time we get them. Adds so much to the world building and characters.
Of course he didn’t 😂. Bazz is your standard dime a dozen sternritter. He stands no chance against the Quincy royal guards or their grandmasters. I don’t understand how people can hold him so high when his best feat up till this point is taking out Toshiro. And he had a clear advantage being a fire elemental to his ice.
I just wished jugram had more writing throughout the arc. He just seems like a miss opportunity. This whole arc he just glaze yhwach n now he's gonna be ded soon. Smh
Im admittedly rusty on remembering all the ways that the Almighty works/worked 1000 yrs ago, but the scene of Yhwach riding by Bazz B with his eyes immediately suggested to me that he knew Bazz was hiding there. Like a taunt. "yah bish you know whats up". Idk im probably just projecting lol
Maybe i missed it when reading TYBW, and I haven't watched the vid just yet, but the revelations about Yhwach's formation of the sternritter and Jugram From what i understand "Father of the quincy" is only a nickname, he wasn't the original quincy. The reason he's so powerful is because he was the first "special" quincy to realize what he could do. The episode mentions that there is a 'useless' quincy every few generations so, which would appear to mean there were some before yhwach Yhwach realized that after giving away his power and taking it back he could grow it. He then spent hundreds of years enhancing his power before he even assembled to rise up
"Father of the quincy" is not a nickname,Yhwach was the original quincy and that's why he have control over their power and can take it from any quincy using the holly selection. They mentioned that there is a special quincy every generations but they never mentioned or hinted that they existed before Yhwach
@@Shady_br honestly at this point I'm confused. Why does it even mention that there is a quincy born like Yhwach every few decades, if the first one after him (original quincy?) If the only other quincy like ywhach is jugo why do we say they are born every few decades. Unless we're saying ywhach killed every one after jugo
@@HOLDENPOPE that would make sense and would explain pretty much everything imo, I'm just not sure if the others just weren't useful, or were intentionally killed off, etc
Well, we learned the histories of two Quincies. As usual with Kubo, revealing character history in pitched battles unnecessarily limits his writing. Even during Nanao's fight, the back story was more about her clan and its singular zanpakutō, rather than her. Which is weird when you consider how he managed to flesh out Rukia's past and used it to contextualize her relationship with Byakuya, all whike using it to inform his battle with Ichigo.
18:27 i wonder if humans knew about Hollows, because their settlements would get attacked by them. and that Quincy would step in to stop the carnage before it got too out of hand. iirc: that's kinda the lore that was established by Urahara in chapter... 5? i wanna say? so yeah i imagine Quincy weren't fully integrated with normal humans. but would instead live amongst themselves in these 'Clans'. and since they were so powerful, and protected normal humans from the Hollows, they were treated like royalty. castles were built for these Quincy Clans to reside in. so yeah, i think the Black family is more like an example of the way they tended to operate. -now i wonder if Hubert was perhaps part of one of these clans? he has a few similarities to Quilge, maybe they're part of the Opie Clan? they are in my headcanon- never mind. scrub that from the archives. you saw nothing
Time is such a weird tuing in bleach. Nobody seems to age a lot apart from old man genryuusai 😂 At this point, some whimsy explaination like "yeah, it's the fire that ages him" would be better than not saying anything about it.
Everyone is interested in the horse but I'm actually more interested in the fact that Yhwach has 3 pupils here. They are showing us what has happened with Yhwach's development of the Almighty as well as giving others more background. I really wonder how he seemingly lost a pupil then lost the rest lol(bet it has something to do with Gerard)
This was the latest bleach episode that made me cry, since the blade is me episode. Jugram didn't want to hurt bazz b at all. But bazz b pursuit for revenge and justice went too far here. Now that we know Jugram sword comes from bazz b family manner.. It Adds an interesting detail to their story. Jugram having a sword that is meant for bazz's knights makes it come off as jugram was like bazz's guardian knight. But when yhwach showed up jugram became yhwach guardian. Even after that it's obvious jugram still cared deeply about bazz. All the times bazz tried to fight him and jugram denying him show that. Jugram knew if he fought bazz. Bazz would die by his hands or be severely punished by yhwach. I think we see that when bazz b activates burning finger 4... Jugram is looking down, obviously thinking about what he's about to do to bazz b. And that he unfortunately has to end bazz b here. Jugram had to destroy his only friend with the sword that he was originally supposed to protect bazz b with in the name of yhwach. It's a tragic moment in the anime with the Newly added anime only scenes. Jugram wobbling up the stairs at the end, after what he did to bazz, got to me man. This fight obviously broke jugram. Jugram never wanted to leave bazz b. But bazz's ego and jealousy pushed them apart.
Do you think that the friend saga would've occurred if say....... Ywatch had returned during the Arrancar Arc??! Just checking in, lol appreciate the videos like always!
Isn’t it kind of implied that Haschwalth just like Yhwach is gaining power back from every Sternritter death because he is giving them power similarly being around them? I figured Bazz B dying would be a massive boost to him specifically.
@@EmberAwoken Yhwach shares a piece of his soul with the sternritters to empower all of them. Auswahlen is a power transfer technique which controls which Quincy get more or less powers. At the end of the day , they’re all tied to Yhwach that way.
Is this a reason why Bazz-B slaughters Shinigami so happily at first? Since he wants to kill Yhwach, he'd want to be by Yhwach's side as he ascends to the Royal Palace. In that sense surely he'd want to show off his killing capabilities by eliminating high-ranking officers to be brought along to the top.
@@Bossu that was the impression of the sternritters. Though Bazz b never had an idea of how to actually kill Yhwach. His revenge kinda faded into the background.
I hope in last 2 episode tomorrow we will get more Flashback to when Quincy invade soul society and defeated by Yamamoto, I really want to see that moment
What if Bazz B somehow got ahold of and snatched Yamamoto’s Bankai medallion? I know he’s not strong enough to wield it but would it increase his chances of victory here? Like if he attempted to use it, would nothing happen or would it be too much for him to handle?
Senjumaru bankai froze Gerard. Burned jugo. Crushed askin like his own gift ball did. And shot holes in lille. So it was all like foreshadowing somewhat
I feel like Bazzb would have had a better chance of winning if he had his full power if yhwach didn't take it back, jugram would have had to use his full power at least to take bazzb down
Merry Christmas everyone!
Who does yhwach have 3 irises instead of 2, in the flash back.

Honestly man i feel like ur scriptwriting on these episodes are actually really good like its crazy its not appreciated as much
Thank you very much, that's very kind!
it could be possible that the reason Bazz b's shrift manifested as pyrokinesis could be due to the trauma of seeing his home burned down by Yhwach while Jugram's schrift could have manifested as luck transference out of his desire to escape the misfortune and trauma done to him by his uncle
All of there shrifts are related to childhood trauma/personalities
I like the idea that Jugo "defied" fate here by breaking out of the flame ring but I also see it in a tragic light that this was his last chance to turn towards a good fate and that by defeating Bazz-B he locked in his fate to die.
Haschwalth: “I don’t like being called jugo”
Tommo during the entire video: “jugo”
Amazing that you and Tekking only had a 1-second difference for this episode review 😂 happiest holidays, Tom!
I like that we got to see Yhwach's brutality on full display when they showed Bazz's castle being attacked. It's no wonder he was so consumed by revenge after witnessing his loved ones be mercilessly slaughtered.
His revenge became his only reason to live
You say "consumed" like Yhwach did the one bad thing and changed his ways lol.
Yhwach is manipulative in his own right.
Lover how you pick characters for the thumbnails. Giving everyone love.
Aizen(übermensch) and Urahara (letzter Mensch)
Grimmjow (destruction) and Ulqiorra (loneliness)
Kyoraku (responsibility) and Ukitake (sacrifice)
Knowing these characters stories is important to understand how the world in Bleach functions.
Only to fight in Yhwach’s war, die and serve as nourishment
I never liked Bazz b but I feel like he technically didn’t need to die here.
I cant say it better than what you said
@@Krys9707this.

@@Grayson-Winchester Makes sense. Could've been neat to have him acknowledge that he knew who Bazz was the whole time and didn't care.
20:57 This scene is actually really dark. That expression on his face when his abusive uncle shows up implies ALOT.
Jugram didn't fully witness the destruction of Bazz's castle just the same way Bazz didn't fully witness the abuse Jugram got from his uncle. At the end of the day, it's a tragic story for the both of them.
The Quincy King shows what an outsiders perspective of Christianity might be (especially in the case of Japan)
(Auschwalen?) This much like how judgment day brings the ascension of the chosen (The rapture) and the desolation of the rest (Judgment day/End times)
@@tylersmith2854 I don’t think they were with Yhwach during the first attack. The OG Gotei 13 wouldn’t have spared anyone
14:37- while Arrancar do kill each other and Aizen does kill some- it’s treated more like a continuation of their previous animalistic forms where the survival of the fittest is the law and the latter just saw them as pawns of a lesser race.
The Wandenreich/Vandenreich are more heinous as the chosen turn a blind eye to their lessers being killed on the whims of their founder who is of their same race- making it all the more heinous as its people of the same race turning against each other for the most arbitrary reasons- which is a far more human kind of evil-
Even if one of the chosen is a sapient hand of god
50:30 I didn't see it that way at all. I saw that as Jugo being so engrained in Yhwach's rules and dogma that he uphold his rules with an iron fist. I don't think he felt anything for Bazz with that statement.

Nothing justifies Yhwach’s actions and his sternritters are a extension of that.

@@haydenarlo1950 I don’t think Kubo is interested much on the Quincies and their lore. The friends flashback confirmed to this
The name Nikita Deathlock is confirmed, yes. The episode director for Friend himself tweeted the name and later deleted the tweet 😂
Nikita loves using long gun, maybe she got some bbc
How does Lillie even fit into this timeline? He prided himself with being the first Quincy who was ever bestowed a Schrift. Yet was never mentioned even though he should have been the legitimately most powerful Quincy who has ever lived after Yhwach
I've honestly never cared about Haschwalth or Bazz-B.

Like you said selfish ego destroyed everything.
@Grayson-Winchester exactly, his egoism would probably destroy any relationship he could form and yes, he most likely just wanted to settle his problems with Haschwalth instead of seeking revenge.
@@ezra1735 this isn’t all. Bazz b as a teen has already shown to be very violent. The psychotic look on his face when he challenges Hubert tells the whole story. His violent behavior is evident in cour 2. He backstabs the Bambis even though it would make it easier for their common enemies (the shinigami) to take advantage of this. Sadly they ignore his physical assault on them. This implies that woman are mistreated in the vandenreich. In the manga he pushed a maid away who just wanted to serve the sternritters drinks to ease them. I don’t know if this makes Bazz b a sexist but he clearly thinks little of women.
Bazz B is also a vicious hypocrite, they suggest to help the soul reapers so that no sternritters gets in their way. Though he, Liltotto and Giselle harmed and killed their colleagues prior to Auswahlen already. So already nobody to take care of. Literally sacrificing Nanana just to appear still strong even though being reduced to fodder.
He gets audacious in front of Haschwalth even though Bazz B killed or planted to kill other Quincies just to get upstairs.
He really is just a aggressive, nazi little shit to the bitter end.
The only way this character would have worked for me is if he build himself a gang. A front of Bazz b, Äs Nödt, Nanana and Mask would have been really powerful. Also useful as potential allies.

jugram is the definition of a snake lol, he only decided to help uryu after his king abandons him, he chose the wrong side from the beginning
That’s what make Haschwalths end sad but deliciously well deserved. He threw away everything for Ywach Buha, but in the end he threw him away.
This also goes to show how much the first war against the soul society changed the Quincy.
It's rather funny when you actually start analyzing haschwalth's character a little... and you realize the guy is a complete loser. He lived his entire life following others, fooling himself into thinking he was actually making his own decisions and living acordingly to his own values, and then died betrayed, miserably and uneventfully.
Not saying It as a bad thing btw. I love his character. Literally in my top 5
_Felt fast in one episode done!_
_Wonder what more Bazz-B's clan is kind of wanted to know more._
Didn't as some point said his clan and Ishida family were equal to each other?

How do the regular quincies become immortal? Will Uryu live for hundreds of years now?
From a few JP theorists' speculations, it is likely that Yuha's Lichtreich was located somewhere between Spain and France.
I just wished jugram had more writing throughout the arc. He just seems like a miss opportunity. This whole arc he just glaze yhwach n now he's gonna be ded soon. Smh
I mean it's very possible that we will get more a out Jugo during the Uryu vs Jugram fight next cour. It will no doubt get new scenes.
@nikjovan4816 yh tru should've waited b4 commenting. Think it applies more to bazz b but uh it is what it is
In my opinion Haschwalth should have survived the story to start genuine negotiations with Shunsui who offered him fine tea
@Grayson-Winchester ooo that wud be cool🤣.tbh jugram was too far gone uryu had to kill him. Feels to realistic to not happen ygm
Shout out to Yhwach's horse. Able to stand tall even when Yhwach unleases his immense spirtual pressure. That horse is a top level threat. 😂
Maybe i missed it when reading TYBW, and I haven't watched the vid just yet, but the revelations about Yhwach's formation of the sternritter and Jugram
From what i understand "Father of the quincy" is only a nickname, he wasn't the original quincy.
The reason he's so powerful is because he was the first "special" quincy to realize what he could do.
The episode mentions that there is a 'useless' quincy every few generations so, which would appear to mean there were some before yhwach
Yhwach realized that after giving away his power and taking it back he could grow it.
@@calvinwilson3617 He very well may have
@@HOLDENPOPE that would make sense and would explain pretty much everything imo, I'm just not sure if the others just weren't useful, or were intentionally killed off, etc
21:38 Its really sad and scare that after that part between Yugo and his uncle they suddendly show that hole in the anime 😔😰
Wtf man...
Jugram had VIP seats in the diddler.
Do we know in which world they were living? Doesn't seems to be Soul Society or Hueco Mundo to me.
Any Kingdom Hearts fans see a resemblance in dynamic between jugo and Bazz vs Saix and Axel?
Sort of. Bazz didn’t make any friends with the enemy though and Saix didn’t win in a battle against him. But yeah I see where you’re coming from
Yhawchs horse vs Aizen’s chair
The Anime Just Keeps Going HARD.
The Sternritter emblem is probably upside-down because it's stone so it's hard to alter and they simply added 2 stripes to the previous Y symbol.
Jugo betrayal of juha bach will be epic as i guarantee there will be a flash back when the final blow is struck
No volstindig . Bazz b never had a chance. He was crippled.
27:24 also feels like a "weeding out the weak" type moment. purging all the unfit & unworthy Quincy. a proto-Auswählen, if you will.
Another fantastic and emotional episode! Really hyped for the last 2 of this cour.
I never knew that in the flashback they were in the human world wow I’m amazed
I hope in last 2 episode tomorrow we will get more Flashback to when Quincy invade soul society and defeated by Yamamoto, I really want to see that moment
the sword jugo picked up also looked like a scale on the guard before the handle
Google tells me Nikita's name comes from the credits of the Korean Dub of cour 3 and some fan art from a director.
What if Bazz B somehow got ahold of and snatched Yamamoto’s Bankai medallion? I know he’s not strong enough to wield it but would it increase his chances of victory here? Like if he attempted to use it, would nothing happen or would it be too much for him to handle?
That is a good question cause Yamamotos sword is a savage it might just go boom just to make a point
No lol please stop with nonsense theorys this is just awful.
Happy Boxing Day! 🥊
Bazz B got Clapped!! 🐔 ☠️ 😱
Senjumaru bankai froze Gerard. Burned jugo. Crushed askin like his own gift ball did. And shot holes in lille. So it was all like foreshadowing somewhat
I wonder if the unknown Quincy sniper is a descendant of Ichigo's mother
She’d be her ancestor…
Packing Friend into one ep is child's play.
The "fight" lasts what, 5mins?
I hope they keep that post Lillie battle scene.
I feel like Bazzb would have had a better chance of winning if he had his full power if yhwach didn't take it back, jugram would have had to use his full power at least to take bazzb down
How would you describe Haschwalths personality?
@@shawnboahene5231basically Quincy Byakuya
Would Zombie-Hitsagaia be able to defeat BAZZ-B?
No. Bad match up. Fire user vs ice user. We already saw how this went down.
