***** Tennant was a good Doctor! A brilliant one! He is the most popular one alongside Tom Baker. He is the most popular modern Doctor whereas Baker is the most popular classic Doctor.
That singer is amazing!!! When he first walked out I was just like what the heck is some random guy doing on the stage then he started singing and my jaw dropped to the floor. What an amazing, beautiful voice.
Why the 10th Doctor was exceptionally emotional about his regeneration: 1. He died alone. 2. He had the fewest lifespan compared to the other doctors. 3. This was the regeneration when he remebered who he really is: The Doctor: a man of mercy and has the power to heal time (Credits to Donna). Appearantly, his previous self emerged from war and had a hard time forgiving himself and becoming who he used to be. 4. This was the regeneration when he grew more mature and this part of his character echoes through his next two regenerations. 5. Now that he has forgiven himself, he could've done more with that regeneration. Like he said: even though he's still the same man when he regenerates, it's still feels like a different man takes over him and saunter on his grave.
Yes it does and although there are those who put them in favorite. Lists I don't believe that's fair since all actors worked with what was available. At the time. I know. Colin Baker gets flak for his doctor but all of them were great at least from what little we can see of the first two doctors considering episodes are lost
Since the 10th Doctor was fully aware he was actually the 12th incarnation if you count War and the one when he kept his face, he must have known that his regeneration would be the last one. He knew that he was moments away from starting the life of his 13th and FINAL incarnation, who was supposed to someday die for real with no regeneration. (He had no way of knowing he would get more on Trenzalore.) So 10's explosive operatic beautiful death, in his mind, was the last time he would shine and be reborn before he died for good. Thank goodness he got more, eh? I don't mind Doctor Who lasting forever.
I kinda disagree with that because 11th mentions new regenerations in Let's Kill Hitler and Nightmare in Silver. It doesn't seem he knew at this point it was his last possible regeneration.
That may be so, but if you look at it from another perspective, 5 was them trying to make him young for the first time. 10 they were showing how old he really is, but he really tried to be young and happy again for the people he loved and his family.
IKR?!! It doesn’t matter how many times me and my dad watch that episode we cry every flippin time and then blame it on the onion chopping ninjas for makin us cry

The tenth doctors regeneration is so brilliantly chilling alongside this music. His struggle to carry on, seeing the OOD, saying goodbye to his old self, all of those he met with that face, to regenerate to leave that era of the show.

They may *or may not) have known that William Hartnell had been very unwell for some time, and had to give up the role. So somebody then came up with the brilliant idea that the Doctor could change his physical appearance and persona. William H's 1st Doctor could only appear in "The Three Doctors" on the Tardis monitor, for the same reason. In "twice upon a time" with Peter Capaldi, I thought David Bradley was a great likeness for William H, and I like the transition from leaving his 12th incarnation, to return to the Tardis & his 2 companions in "The tenth planet" part 4......,,and collapse, and then regenerate into the 2nd Doctor.

i,m old enough to have saw them all , starting with the movie with daleks in it , Bernard Cribben was the doctors side kick, later to come back as the docs sidekicks grandad.
Ka D'Argo I think the original song was sang by Mark Chambers but it was probably a different singer because he would have had to go all the way to Sydney.
I start doctor who with Eccleston, and i miss him a lot, he was my first doctor :(. Tennant was a very good interpret, but Smith 0_0, maybe i'm crazy like him, that's why he's my favorite interpretation ^^', I finish yesterday, it's to long to wait the 8th season :( !! So now i begin the 1st series, with 1st doctor, it's very different but i like it :D
1st,4th,7th,8th,10th,11th are my favorite, and even then there has never been a bad actor to play the Doctor. I also think Peter Capaldi will be able to get on my list since he's a terrific actor.
Anushka Gupta I haven’t seen the show in awhile but I remember while I wasn’t really sold on his first season, I think his second season had some really amazing episodes.
Looking back in Tenth's regeneration I think he just could crawl to his tardis but he saw the Ood and tried to get himself together and show some dignity and strenght
When the man started singing I was crying :'( But also shocked at the voice that came out of his mouth :O Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful but also so moving and emotional :'(
Hmmm in terms of modern days doctor, I would say David tennent is the best... Because he is the doctor... When someone ask me who is the doctor I think of tennent more than smith.
I was in tears watching this, especially Hartnells. There arent too many people who would have seen the original, and this what this was. The proper footage from the 4th episode of tenth planet, the real regeneration footage. The fact that this precious precious footage still exists is a small wonder! It was good to hear the cheer for 2nd, but then war games does exist in its entireity, but it wasnt funny, 2nd was esentially executed for his interferance and in the episode he is screaming no no no! 3rd and 4th WASNT surprising, dr who was HUGE in Australia in the 70's and the kids of that generation ie PARENTS would know them very well, especially 4th, hence the very loud cheer for him. The rest not surprising, Christopher is the Troughton of the modern era, if his character didnt work new who would never have took off. And I will admit 10th is the greatest of the modern era (though 12th is close behind) he is the Tom baker of the modern era and brought new who to the rest of the world. And Vale Decum never fails to a bring a tear Though 11ths I am the Doctor theme is still the most bad ass theme the show has EVER had!!!
Oh, my god! That Voice! To see this performed live must have been utterly astonishing! Thank you, Murray Gold for enriching the return of Doctor Who woth your fabulous music!
10 was a legend and completely deserves all this love and respect we show towards him as well as that song "Vale Decem" also translated to "Farewell Ten"
Imagine being the doctor every time you change you're letting go of the person you used to be. I miss David Soooooo badly
i,m old enough to have saw them all , starting with the movie with daleks in it , Bernard Cribben was the doctors side kick, later to come back as the docs sidekicks grandad.
Who is that singer? I wasn't sure whether to be afraid or amazed!!!
Ka D'Argo I think the original song was sang by Mark Chambers but it was probably a different singer because he would have had to go all the way to Sydney.
HannahElizabeth Thanks for the info Hannah :)
that man has some pipes singing vale decem, amazing job
10............ Ahhhhhh whyyyyyyyyyyy
The cheer when David Tennant came, I felt alive. I wanted to scream with them.
9th doctor regeneration itself makes me tear up more than 10 but the finale of 10 makes me cry more
I start doctor who with Eccleston, and i miss him a lot, he was my first doctor :(.
+777wallaby777 are we the same person?? O_o
DonnaRae Brown haha maybe yes ^^ Season 8 soon :D
Yeah! :D
777wallaby777 in 2017 we are on episode 3 of season 10 with Peter capaldi (my favourite doctor)As the doctor
Am I the only one who just stood up and saluted when Ten regenerated?
1:16 Patrick Troughton still making people laugh 25 years after his death :)
I wish social media was around back then because can you imagine how people reacted when the first Doctor regenerated?
If social media existed Doctor who would be a 1 season show
1st,4th,7th,8th,10th,11th are my favorite, and even then there has never been a bad actor to play the Doctor. I also think Peter Capaldi will be able to get on my list since he's a terrific actor.
SoundtrackOfGaming so? Did he?
Well did he?
Anushka Gupta I haven’t seen the show in awhile but I remember while I wasn’t really sold on his first season, I think his second season had some really amazing episodes.
This is Gallifrey and Vale Decem... Murray Gold, Ben Foster and the wonderful orchestra, what are you trying to do to my heart!!!????
There will always be a special place in my heart for the 1st and 2nd Doctor.
Its honestly really heartwarming that everyone cheered for their favorite Doctors
Looking back in Tenth's regeneration I think he just could crawl to his tardis but he saw the Ood and tried to get himself together and show some dignity and strenght
When the man started singing I was crying :'( But also shocked at the voice that came out of his mouth :O Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful but also so moving and emotional :'(
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE COUNTERTENOR!!!
Hmmm in terms of modern days doctor, I would say David tennent is the best... Because he is the doctor... When someone ask me who is the doctor I think of tennent more than smith.
the amount of people that screamed when david tennant appeared was absolutely fantastic lol
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this, it will make me cry every time...
like if you cry evertim
Audience: "....should we cheer for 6's arrival? ...."
"I don't want to go."
And Vale Decum never fails to a bring a tear
Though 11ths I am the Doctor theme is still the most bad ass theme the show has EVER had!!!
Oh, my god! That Voice! To see this performed live must have been utterly astonishing! Thank you,
Murray Gold for enriching the return of Doctor Who woth your fabulous music!
Why am I so moved at Ninth doctors regen I literally cried this is beautiful
Tennant had the most heart-breaking and best regeneration. Change my mind.
Oh, Doctor. The things you've seen, the lives you've saved.
10 was a legend and completely deserves all this love and respect we show towards him as well as that song "Vale Decem" also translated to "Farewell Ten"
David 😢 Why did you have to go.
Imagine being the doctor every time you change you're letting go of the person you used to be. You know the change is inevitable but you cant stop the change it like grains of sand slipping through your fingers. Every time you regenerate its burning hot then it's cold and you disappear then you re awaken a new man you awaken the new doctor.
that moment when you realise the crowd laughed at an execution 1:19
I was front row with my son for this. It was incredible. Alex Kingston is freaking 🔥 😍
Tens regeneration is the peak of television
David leaving was heart breaking for me, legit adore him as the doctor, cry every time I watch that scene
*_Everyone cheering for David 😭❤ He was the first Doctor this face saw. ❤_*
3:07 Woah when the 7-8 clip started the mood just turned upside down awesome
