The percussionist Nate Werth and Larnell work really well together. The "We like it here" album by Snarky Puppy is an example. Nate and Larnell have really good chemistry. In fact, Nate and Sput Searight have great chemistry too. So good they formed Ghost Note as a side project when they aren't playing with Snarky Puppy.
I just discovered this Channel and I have to say I love it and I love watching people play the drums and I also love how all the instruments are coming together it just sounds amazing
Never heard this before, Larnell is so good!!! And mono neon on the bass!!!! so cool! I'm sure you have heard Snarky Puppy live on GroundUP Music NYC, If you havnt you should check out 'Lingus (We Like It Here)'. Larnell Lewis kills it there too
Larnell actually wrote and recorded the track at some point before this event with another band. He did it again with Ghost Note and I much prefer this version
Hey Jarvis! On 8:55 you gave us that hint on DJ drummer in audience... can you please give me (us) his full name ?! (Darian Jawan? or something like this...Sorry DJ!) You woke my interest and i can not finde him in WWW... So thanks in advance!... I also enjoy on your emotional (resonable) reaction on that performance of "God with sticks" Larnell... After hearing him with Snarky (GOAT) Band ans some Drumeo presentatios of him ans his divine talent, he is No 1 on my drummers List... an he also made it that on my list the places 2 to 10 are EMPTY becouse it wouldn't be fair to him to put somone there just behind him... ;)... so keep rockin'!
yooooooo!!!! HIs name is Darion Ja'von his IG is @Iamdarionjavon. He's the MD/Drummer for Doja Cat, Tinashe, plays for Ne-yo and does SO Much more! Also appreciate your comment truly! Thanks more to come 😊😊😊
I always wondered who the guy in the FILA jacket was in the crowd. They zoomed in on him a lot. I thought to myself “he must be someone important”. I checked him out. He’s a really talented drummer and has an impressive body of work
Dude I watched some of your videos, great content dude. I've been in a band for a little over a year and a half. We are very budget strict. do you have any tips on how to record our music?
The Percussionist name is Nate Werth. He is a beast!!
Larnell Lewis is probably the only drummer that makes me smile every time i watch the man play, it's just stupid how good the man is.
Absolutely! His smile is contagious and his playing just brings joy!
Jarvis... you know your stuff!! Man, it is NICE to hear good analysis from someone who knows!
Jarvis: "SPACE!!!"
Larnell: "Yep. That's where I'm here from."
Subbed.
11:56 I always wondered how the others knew when he was ending his solo and the timing for the final notes.
Now I see the glances he gave everyone.
Percussionist is Nate Werth. Great video!
Ahhh dope thanks never knew his name. He's AMAZING!!!!
I’m addicted to this performance! Larnell is next level.
Your explanation of space… on point! Subscribed!
One of the best, if not the best, reaction to this video!
