I've heard 4-cylinder sounds that I like... and I will say I appreciate the effort compiling all these sounds. I'm giving the video a thumbs-up for effort.
I run 3” catted downpipe and MBRP street and love the sounds.
2:34 will be my setup. I absolutely love it.
I’ve had the setup for a couple years now. I love it and no one has ever came up to me and asked “Is that a 4 cylinder” always “is that a v6” (or v8 if they dum) One problem is that the exhaust tips can get really hot and cause your rear reflector above your exhaust to deform and stick out.

the CPE catless downpour with the Magnaflow street catback sounded absolutely perfect.
Pretty much anything 3” all the way from the turbo is best imo!
AUTI MAFIA RACING on TH-cam IMO has the best sounding 4 cyl. single 3 inch pipe. Why people think everyone is trying to make it sound like a V-8 is beyond me. I think most guys are smart enough to know that doesn't happen.

I considered the four-cylinder - and I've heard 4-cyl cars that sounded good to me - but the EcoBoost Mustang doesn't sound right to me. It's a shame it sounds the way it does, because I like cars with sharp handling and the thought of an S550 suspension with the lighter engine appealed to me.
It sounds better than a Civic to me, but that's setting the bar pretty low.

If all you care about is sound...Sure get a 5.0 if you have the money... But if you don't have 30k and plenty of gas money... You can get an Eco with over 400hp+ at the ground for under 20k and smoke a fair bit of GT's, but can also potentially get 30+ mpg 😆 and leave all of the V8 or nothing guys crying when they get beat by a Mustang with less than half the engine 😆
You're then stuck getting the 6 Speed Manual as the 6 Speed Auto is fucking garbage. That sucks if its your daily and you commute to work in city. 10 Speed Auto is a whole different beast. Test drove both and the Auto is plenty of fun.
This is straight facts. This is why I want a EcoBoost. Just straight pipe and throw some goodies and you’re faster than a 5.0, with really good gas mileage. Sorry, the 5.0 is cool but I don’t like 10 miles to the gallon and waiting longer to save up money just to lose more money 😂

Cheapest best exhaust better than anything is a muffler delete with with 12"x 4 1/2 " tips welded no clamps 300 bucks sounds better than anything out there or on this video

Where was the tomei titanium exhaust, I personally think it’s the best sounding exhaust for the eco, that’s why I bought it.
I have never heard of that. I will definitely look into it though. I focused on the most common brands.

If I had a eco boost I would go with any of the first 3 living here in so Cal with strict as hell smog laws visual and tailpipe emissions , don't know why someone commented he likes the 5..0 wannabees comments ? I have V8 vehicles if I bought a eco it would be for daily drivability and gas mileage with mild performance option and rear wheel drive for donuts and burnouts .
5.0 guys can't say there getting good gas mileage as a daily as soon as your foots in it there goes your gas I have a old ford big block truck with a 390 one afternoon of joy riding empties the tank definitely not a daily or I'd go broke .

I don’t think there’s such thing as a good sounding ecoboost exhausts. I’m not hating on Ecos because I have a 2018 performance pack one but if it’s not a 5.0 then it needs to be silent

Ecoboost sounds perfectly as it is. It doesn t have the V8 rumble sound, but I think it has a different nice sounds on it s own. It has the perfect sound for non car guys. I don t think it needs a bassy sounds, it just needs a bit louder sound that already has

@@DroppinGearz I can't believe there is a 2.3T owner out there who thinks that 4cl can sound like 8, but with an exhaust mod it can at least have a soundtrack, which it doesn't as stock. I went with a simple Roush AB and the car sounds so much better in real life than it does on any of the TH-cam clips which flatten out the sound and take out the bass. It has brought the car to life - its a brilliant engine, let it have a voice!

None of the videos will ever truly capture the sound that the naked ear will capture but yes it definitely blows my mind when someone truly doesn’t understand why they can’t get a V8 sound from a 4 cylinder... but unfortunately there are some out there that just don’t get it. I know mine has had many different exhaust changes but for what it is, I’m pretty happy with where it is compared to where it was! Thanks for the input!
