- 👋 Phase 2 for my wife's Audi S3 has begun! Time to start adding more power to this turbocharged S3! I'm starting with swapping the air intake to a full carbon fiber intake from Armaspeed, and then I'll dive into tuning the ECU and DSG to make some power! This Armaspeed cold air intake is top quality carbon fiber and looks amazing! Complete with a carbon intake pipe, air filter box and snorkel, this kit looks insane! The carbon fiber weave from all three pieces even lines up and matches direction for a flawless look! I think the carbon intake is a tad louder then other aftermarket intakes and you can hear a dealer engine tone and some blow off noice. Camera inside the car doesn't pic it up too well, but it sounds cool! The Armaspeed carbon fiber cold air intake fit perfect and was very easy to install on the 8V Audi S3. How many miles does she have on it now?
Awesome daily driver and glad you're adding some fun bits to it.
Around the 40k intervals these cars have carbon buildup that reduces power and fuel economy.
A walnut blasting is pretty easy on these engines for the Direct Injection only ones.
Just hit 30k in it. Good to know about some maintenance in the future!

Can you tell if there was an increase in HP or performance? Thinking about doing this to my S3.
You'll feel a bit better turbo response. If you tune the car that's when you'll really see the HP gains of close to 20 through the rev range. We have a few of these on our site brosfourrspeed.com/parts-%26-merchandise/ols/categories/audi-s3-parts

Did you have to tune for this new intake? I know some cars once you change out the intake, it requires a tune.
Nope! Ran great with stock tune and really woke up the driving experience. We have Armaspeed and MST intakes on our site for the S3 and RS3. Love them! Have the Armaspeed kit on our RS3 now
Did you notice any power or sound difference from the MST you took off? I have a few options right now and both of those are on the list😅 Thanks!
They both sound about the same and will offer same benefits. I have the MST for sale if you want a good deal on a slightly used kit?!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed honestly, I would have pulled the trigger on that had I seen this earlier. Ended up going IE with the carbon fiber cover. Yours looks great,though. Love the way the s3 is coming together!

Does the S3 engine the same as the Hyundai Veloster N?
Nope. It might be the same size engine. But the S3 engine is built buy VW group. Veloster has a Hyundai engine build by them
