One man’s junk……….Lol! Its incredible how we collect so much things when we are alive.especially when we come into this world with nothing and then leave with nothing. That CLT 9000 is a nice piece. It is 95% intact!
@@WeldingandWheeling it's actually quite a rare bird. Worth saving to any real mechanic as it's every actual mechanics dream to have a 6 digit value vehicle. And that split windshield bus is definitely such a vehicle. Edit: About 5 years ago I had a split windshield vw bus from 1954 that needed everything. It didn't even have wheels or a drivetrain. Sold it to a guy Fer 38,700 in cash.
Wish you could walk around 27.25 mine is a 294 hancock looks identical to your michigan push pull scraper, front end may be different though wonder how much it sold for including terex 72 21
In the second video I'm pretty sure I do a walk around of the scrapper if that's what you are looking for. The terex I show what it goes for in the second video too.
That truck was a STROH's . I have been looking for a Terex dump truck. I am sure they have them around here in Western Pa. Really awesome video. I am thinking of doing raw videos. I love watching the videos where there is no editing. It makes you feel like you are there..lol
I would love to do a '47 welding rig with a decent crane. Hamilton farm had a Terragator last year I believe. Did you see Matt's acquisitions at Diesel creek? really awesome stuff. A great time to be alive. A better time to love old equipment...What did those Datsuns sell for? I would love to either rebuild one or put an LS or a K24 in one of them. I just want to move in at that farm...
I love old school welding trucks, Yeah I think deboss garage did a series on working on a terragator maybe repowering it? the datsuns went for dirt cheap like $100-$200.
Do you live in Maryland or are you just from Maryland. I was just there yesterday. I live in Pa.. You sound just like me. I love old stuff. I just finished an Attex and sold it.. We are a lot alike my friend...I would have loved to join you on that estate auction. Looks like so much awesome stuff...Thos bell housings would be awesome because I started doing some blacksmithing work as well as casting my own parts so castable aluminum is always good to get. You can't use aluminum that doesn't have the right alloy for casting.
I am from MD but just recently moved out to IA for a job, it was quite the auction that's for sure. I didn't consider the bellhousings alternative uses like that!
@@WeldingandWheeling Super cool my friend. Do you have a Facebook page? We should definitely stay in touch. I have some really great projects. I just lost my best friend...Not in a bad way. We used to spend 24/7 together and made some incredible projects that could have catapulted us into a great industrial supply business. Then one day after a huge fight with his girlfriend I took him out for a beer and to advise him to dump her because it was nothing but toxic fighting. Before I even had a chance to say anything he told me she was pregnant. I have seen him about two hours in the last year. I want to build a waste oil fired burner so I can heat the barn because it is nothing but cold stone walls. Stay in touch brother.
Really wish you would have shown more of the heavy equipment stuff and what it sold for instead of spending so much time showing junk, other than that cool video brother👍 curious what that terex loader sold for
You gotta know that the day after the auction the scrapper guy will be there with a dumpster and skid steer. Lots of useless junk. Later…….should have brought the car crusher right to the farm! The safari was GMC’s answer to the Astro van.
Looks like mostly scrap metal to me. Terex Loaders of that Vintage didn't have much reach. The Michigan Loader could chop your head or arm off of you leaned out to look what you were doing while the hoists were raised up then you lowered them. It had nothing to do with stalling the engine. If the Engine stalls the booms should be able to hold in place .
Thats a good example of idiots that hoard stuff and never want to sell any of to someone that could use the parts. Then something happens and it goes to auction and instead of being put in to use on a restoration it all goes to scrap yard. Real idiocy.
I appreciate your effort, but this has to be one of the worst farm auctions i've seen on youtube, and trust me I've been watching them for years...., Pick some better Auctions to show, and watch Mr., Good Plyers for some good tips on how to Present (going to fast) these videos..... Please don't Stop filming them though, It just takes time and effort.... You will get better....... Thank you...."edit "My talk text is acting up on my phone so please excuse the punctuation....good luck
I would put this one in a different category than a farm auction. More of a junkyard auction with a few machines still save able. Thanks for the tips, I've done a few much more recent auction videos that are more the style you are looking for.
I recently re did the trailer and part of that was flipping it over and taking a bunch of measurements to see if I had a bent axle, At the time I did not but who knows, its definitely a possibility.
This is a Junkyard Mechanics dream I drove that same Terex in the Quarry for years Back ta the Flinstone thanx seeing all that was kool
Yeah it would of been an awesome collection to own just based on the variety of stuff.
One man’s junk……….Lol!

Yeah the CLT was definitely the highlight of the auction.
That split windshield vw bus is worth a great deal of money...
I was wondering if it was a desirable one, it definitely seemed save able to the right person.

Geesh, wish I knew that.
That CL is valuable. Very popular for restorations.
Yeah they are desirable to some but this one didn't sell for much as you will find out in part two.

Ford cabover in nice. May have a big cam cummins.
I wish I would of spent more time looking at it to see what engine it had.

I'm sure there is a quite a few Terex dump trucks in the mining areas of PA!
Anything with a good frame has value... The steel in the new frams are designed to rust out in a short time.
Fair point.
It Reminds of a Junkyard I worked at in Snydersville PA
It was definitely very much like a junk yard.

all i see is me going to the junkyard about 8 times to scrap that mess
Only 8 trips, you better have a big trailer lol

it went cheap, I want to say like $1800
how did you not notice the 8 lug catalina wheels at 12.48? lots of good stuff.. lots of junk.. perfect!
Whoops completely missed that.
Scrapers heaven
A lot of it was very rough but there was some save able stuff for sure
I think the lever on the ford is to lock the two rear axles for extra traction.
Ahh yes I would believe that.
Terra Gator was used for spreading granular fertilizer. AL B.
sweet!
@@WeldingandWheeling Field sprayers Terra Gators and Field Jimmy brand applicators used Cat 3208 engines.
Id love to have that cabover its probably a 1980 for a big cam cummins
Yeah it was definitely a sweet truck.
😮wow 😳 junk for some gold for others..
A lot of hidden gold at this auction, wish I had a lot of space and I would of grabbed alot of stuff
Nice auction! Md or Pa?
This ones actually Iowa, Just moved out here about 3 months ago
Thanks for watching man!
@@WeldingandWheeling dang! Thats awesome
Surprising that people can live that way amongst all that garbage
I think at some point it was all consolidated and they spread everything out for the auction, but it still was a ton of stuff.

I liked the Terex mostly because it was an obscure piece.
Piles and piles of junk, not a surprise it all went dirt cheap.
A lot of scrap yes, but there was some diamonds in the rough I think.
I see lot of scrap
Sadly yes there was a fair amount of scrap
Never have i seen so many MOTH eaten cars and trucks must be salt they use on the roads over their
If by moth you mean rust, yeah in the mid west the rust issue is pretty bad.
A parts auction and scrap only
I would say there was a few diamonds in the rough, but yes a lot of scrap and parts.

Your trailer is eating tires because it’s got a bent axle
I recently re did the trailer and part of that was flipping it over and taking a bunch of measurements to see if I had a bent axle, At the time I did not but who knows, its definitely a possibility.
Junk, junk and more junk!!!
Thanks for watching
Probably tires. Buyer beware.
alrighty then
why are you showing all the junk ?
Some would say its all junk, some would say its all good
what a waste of 27 minutes
Well thank you for watching the full 27 minutes
No one around the fast forward for you?
He doesn't no nothing about cars he needs to not go look at cars he doesn't have the knowledge on cars the safari van was GMC and Astro was Chevy
I would think I need to go look at more cars then to learn. Sorry for not knowing the difference in two vans, anyways thanks for watching.
I simply cannot understand why all this junk is here. Very little of value.
Some people assemble some odd collections
just a bunch of junk nothing worth fixing
There was a lot of junk for sure.
5 minutes of Yada yada. Lost interest.
Well, thanks for Watching for five minutes at least.
junk and more junk
There was a lot of junk for sure.
Junk
