I have fished for over 45 years. I use all those knots. I. don't go fishing that often I enjoy your videos.Thank you for all you do. Sometimes I do learn something.
Here i am a new subscriber i am new to this still didn't go fishing i used to dive and shoot fish now looking forward for trying fishing .. thank you from Lebanon
Thank you for this beautiful assembly. Could you please show us how to salt his bait like squid, shrimp or fish. I can't and I think it would help a lot of people. thank you
Great vid. I have used these knots for close to 50 years. Thank you for being so informative to those new fishermen and women. Also would love to invite you to Mass, this year to do some Striper Fishing.
I've been watching some of your videos, great effin content! I have learned plenty, thank you so much . Planning to do some surf fishing this weekend in seal beach, any fresh bait recommendations? Also love the thneed tree and the lorax colored macaw shirt.👌👍
I have learned so much from you. Thank you. I think I have an idea for you to tie quicker dropper loops. On TH-cam look up Alpine butterfly knot. Most of the explanations are going to be a method where you wrap the line around your hand three times. That is the explanation to watch. I've been using it for a little while on the job. Not fishing unfortunately. And I can attest that it is one strong knot
So i have been using some 2/0 treble hooks on these rigs. I use a piece of salted shrimp for bait. Split the shrimp, place it on the shank, push it down to the hook and then i wrap 4 or 5 turns of elastic string to hold the bait on. It works!
Be careful. They are tightening up about the use of treble and "j" hooks. They are fish killers and not in a good way. Lots of gut hooking. I know in New Jersey they will fine you if you are sharking with either of those hooks
I really appreciate the instructional videos. I would rather learn on video - then I can go fishing for myself, Watching other people fish has never really been something I am into ha ha 😎
Hello! I am going to galveston this weekend and am more of a river/freshwater fisherman, so I really appreciate all your videos, they have helped me prep this weekend. Question: After you make these rigs, are you tying them directly to the braided main line? Or do you need to tie on a shock lead, then tie the rig to the shock? Thanks for any info!
I use free line with swivel and fluorocarbon line keel hook. Or a Carolina rig half ounce weight or the ballyhoo rig.. think kingfish rig but smaller for them dirty thirty specs. But this video is great for noobies into saltwater fishing surf fishing so on good stuff
@@HeySkipper yup. Caught my PB 30” striper followed by a 28” on a 4” keitech. Have been trout fishing lately as well. Mini jigs with a 7’5 ultralight rod. Insanely fun
u didnt explain how u did 4:36 well when u said "knot" and then made the loop do the backflip and then straigtening everything out, I just got one straight life after
Hey Skipper, love the vids and been a sub for a while now. Keep hoping to see you out on the water sometime. 😁 However, one thing you neglected to mention when speaking about your diet is all the mercury, PCB’s, and other toxins in our aquatic life at all levels. I still enjoy my local catch but not nearly as much or as often as I once did.
The biggest issue I've had so far with high low and sabiki rigs is a good method of storage. The *&%#ing things get so tangled sometimes and it takes up too much of my fishing time trying to get them apart....lol
I only use this rig and always successful with it. I love it and I’ve learnt this in your earlier year videos . Thank you skip
I have fished for years. Never get to old too learn. Thanks.

That yellow fluorescent line how heavy is it and what brand is it? Also what weight do you use for a pyramid? Shore fishing btw
Looking good brendon! Those Hawaiian shirts 🔥

Good stuff 👍 free line is one of my favorite ways to fish as well , you basically just take off the weight in the Carolina rig
I use the double drop shot here in California tied on with mini jigs and small 2” keitech plastics. Works killer!
Very cool 👍 have you been fishing lately?

Salt Papi 2.0 hehe

I have a specific way of tying on storing them that could help. Also, do you have a rig binder?
@@HeySkipper no. I wasn't aware such a device existed. Kinda new to saltwater shore fishing
I looked it up...how did I not know about these...😮💨Problem solved...lol
same i make sabiki rigs, i just bought like a bunch of small baggies and rolled them up and put them in there
1st on
You could say - Hey fish people, or Welcome my aquatic hunters. Need some fun 'gday curd nerd" type into.
