KTM certainly, but I think sometimes the hypermotard doesn’t have a direct comparison with anything, and the brand name/sense of occasion is what drives it rather than comparable price tag. So maybe, just maybe, an MV Augusta Dragster.
If you liked this bike, you would also like the Aprilia Dorsoduro, they don't make them anymore I believe, but they are around... also an amazing fun, same style bike
Another enjoyable review (minus the music and the specs). Sure would enjoy a summary scorecard of the bikes you gave ridden at the end of each vid. Not so much the specs but more your feelings - comfort, handling, power, fun factor, would you buy one, etc. Hard to know how you would rate this compared to the Mult, SF, Panigale, Tiger, etc.
@@RemboUSMC How come? Do you feel the SP model is necessary? Its a little out of my budget. I cant remember if you answered this in your review I will check again.
The original Hyper 1100 is still the benchmark in my book, and I still have one sitting right next to my Multi V4S :D Every iteration after was made smoother and compromised to appeal to more customers. The 1100 was only made for fun, and you can tell they didnt care about anything esle. They lost the plot on the Hyper since they moved it to water-cooled engine, loaded with electronics and way too expensive for what it is. You have to find one , try it and compare !
@@RemboUSMC The real comparison I have read about is between the Multistrada 950 and V2. At least one professional writer said the change was mostly in name only. I cannot recall if there were any significant spec or part changes.
Love the enthusiasm……. That’s what bikin’ is all about eh 👍👍 Interestingly I started out wanting a hypermotard SP at the beginning of last year, cos they’re great for “the canyons”, and test rode one back to back with the multistrada V4s and a GS1250 for comparison……. And ended up buying the multistrada, in spite of the extra 10k price tag over the H/M. You are so right about the fun factor, and I loved them both, but the multi seemed to have all that the hypermotard had, plus a warp factor top end, more plushness for the long haul, and a bit more safety tech. Both wonderful bikes though….there is no wrong decision. P.S. how did you make the guy at the lights vanish ? 😃
What is the biggest competitor to the Ducati Hypermotard?
The 790 Duke? Maybe? Ha
@@nickb638 Yes, another fantastic bike. Too bad my local dealer does not allow tests rides whatsoever.
KTM 890R definitely
Indian FTR

Had one , couldn’t justify keeping 3 bikes so sold it and now I want it back ! It has been the most mad fun bike I’ve owned . Get one I say .
Thanks for the review! This bike was never on my radar before, but now I'm intrigued. I would love to see how this bike works out on a track!
Great review Devil Dog!
Thank you !

Which one would you pick? Monster 937 or this?
Hypermotard

Great info. Thank you.
I saw this and same as you, curious but never rode it. Now I have to ride this. Thanks and please keep testing new bikes. Multi V2S if you can dude!
As soon as they get a multi V2 in stock, I will definitely be riding it. Please have a great day

Love my Hypermotard 950sp
It's a great bike.
LOL I got the Hyper 950SP and love it. Getting the Multistrada PP in February. You need both! 😁
You are officially my hero. I would definitely love to have both of those
How do you like the SP version?
@@RemboUSMC It is a beast. So much fun to blast around the back roads for short rides. The insane torque…
Curious if you’ve rode the new Desert Sled?
Not that luck enough.
@@RemboUSMC I rode one a few months ago…it’s pretty fun too!
For ergonomics, I decided I'm going to buy the new Aprilia Tuono V4 (non-factory). I don't know if there's a better bike for $15,999.
For the money I can't disagree. I have been really looking at the RS660 too.

Lol, he just disappeared
🤣
Only one downside really is the tank range, that could be an issue!? Cheers Rembo 👍
True. I see this more of a commuter type bike though
Best sounding Italian ever heard from an American :)))) (joking, no offence, please!)
LOL, no offence taken. It's all fun.
The KTM 890R
An excellent choice
Stallone Jr.
I got that a lot when I was younger and in the marines
