I love how in Freide’s cut scene, despite looking at this giant bloated grotesque monster, turning around slowly to see Freide walk towards you is much scarier.

@@Dritix There was no mechanic by which they could adjust the sizes of character models, so making Ornstein grow would have required a lot of effort to create one cutscene the player might not even see. The room in the cutscene is actually a completely separate one from where you fight the boss, and the Smough on the ground is an object. It was easier to shrink object Smough and the room than design an entirely new system for adjusting the sizes of character models that wouldn't get used anywhere else.
The abyss watchers looked so much like bloodborne hunters to me because I had just played bloodborne before getting ds3 and I was geeking out for the whole intro cutscene
Artorias wins the award for the best boss intro in video game history. No contest. If you'd been paying attention in-game, you knew how much of a badass he was going into the fight. And he only had one arm. Can't imagine what he'd be like with both arms functional.
@@Dritix and it's likely that the artorias are left-handed in my opinion. the first clue is in the description of the artorias sword in dark souls 2 (majestic greatsword) "every last one of the prominent swordsmen who inherited this weapon was left-handed". second clue in the description of artorias shield in dark soul 1 (Cleansing Greatshield) "The steel greatshield used by Knight Artorias, who succumbed to the Abyss. Artorias, deeply scarred by the Abyss, used this to form a barrier to protect his compatriot Sif", from the second clue, so Artorias hide sif from manus and left his shield and fought again with the manus without using a shield, until his left hand was broken, that mean when fighting against manus, artorias wields his sword using his left hand. so all this time we were fighting against 50% of artorias power. note: sorry if im my english is bad 😁
DS2 pursuer's intro is just so damn imposing & menacing. Why his armour wasn't available in DS2 is a crime, and why he couldn't make an appearance as an enemy in DS3 is a shame.
@@Dritix thing is. I've had the luck and privilege of playing pretty much all dark souls games, and bloodborne. And honestly, I love each one. Kinda weak on the graphics and the lore, but nontheless underrated.
