Thank you for the review, was also waiting for this. real life comparison (not on paper) between normal z900 and SE model would be really appreciated, also to the 1000 hornet
love this bike, My first bike ever was z750, second one again was z750 and now honda 300 crf, but I think I will buy this one as my second bike, was looking at honda 1000, but this one looks so much better.
@@1000pscom Why compare two motorcycles with a 25 horsepower deficit? That's like MT-09 to MT-10, and no one would do that logically. Yet it seems all the journalists can do after this Spanish model release is do just that.
Thank you for the review! Speaking about quickshifter, you mentioned "you cannot downshift under load" meaning while throttle is fully open only upshift is possible not down?
You cannot downshift when the throttle is applied, doesn't need to be full throttle. Downshifts are only possible with a closed throttle. Yamaha Quickshifter for example can shift down with open throttle.
Isn t a bit heavy for traffic? Im looking for mt 09 sp (194 kg) or triumph street triple rs 765 (188 kg). I like the z900 but i think 213 kg is pretty heavy for commuting and traffic jams.
Compare the Hornet 1000 to the ZH2. That's the real direct competitor. The Z900 is the 900cc class and aside from cost (which will vary greatly around the world where the models are sold), it's not the same category. I wouldn't compare the MT-09 to the MT-10.
I had a 2017 which was butter. Smooth. Nearly glassy. But it was a tad more buzzy here and there when new, and got smoother in time. Also emissions standards which cause manufacturers to program ECU to run lean, the leanness causes vibration. ECU flash would eliminate any buzz that might otherwise be there.
I think right now the best naked bike for the money is the new Hornet 1000 SP. You get so much for so little money . For some reason the naked Kawasaki's are not that pretty in that naked category. Im sure will be a great bike
Hornet is ugly. Only front of the bike (headlights) looks good (but even dashboard zone is bad - three is no possible to mount any windscreen there). Z900 looks awsome (headlight zone only is not that good looking as rest of bike). Ofcourse z will be slower, but not much probably. And look for materials and finishing of that motorcycle vs Hornet.
@@japfourme381 I'm not a horsepower kind of a guy but i really think Honda made something amazing for a very low price...Yamaha's MT09 is much more expensive as well,1 less cylinder and less power for those who need it.
@@superduperkid3143 Looks like someone already went full on 'Max Biaggi' with the rear end...I could see the 40kg(wet),mail order bride sitting on the front seat,if you were hard on the brakes 😂
Honda quota limited, probably sold out already in the UK? Just £1000 too expensive for both models, is it worth a £3-400 premium over a Hornet, yes...if you want the best deal, buy an ex-demo Suzuki GSX-S950, minimal miles, for under £7000,and it costs the same to uncork to the full 150bhp ARW as every other Suzuki with the K5 motor!
Thanks very much for this review! I've been waiting patiently. Very nice!!
Same here! Sick of all the Ai videos just comparing specs sheets to other motorcycles lol
I like this bike. It makes the previous gen price drops a bit. Im so going to go for the 2023 SE z900 😂
😂 smart move!
Always a smart move

I'm really happy to see this pop up. This SE version might be a better choice for me than the MT-09SP.
Ride both
Bigger tank on the Z900 too
@@Snotroggel453 "Fun" is not a universal standard.
This is not the SE!!
@japfourme381 I know!

Great review, i take this one over the Honda because of looks
In Australia Hornet SP will cost over $23000 ride away .
The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 cost $15500…you can pick them up for $14500.
Did Honda Australia announcing pricing because I still can't see how much they are going for? In that case it's more expensive than V2 base model...
But you have to compare the Kawasaki Z900 SE with the Hornet SP...
Basic Z900 25 model will have quick shifter and cruise control as standard .Not to mention six axis sensors .
So already trumps the Honda Hornet SP.👍

great review, keep it up
Thank you!
Definitely do a comparison test with the new Honda CB1000 VS Kawazaki Z900 2025. Am you curious ?
After that, do a comparison between the MT-09 and the MT-10. Same effect.

Well done.
How much better is it compared the the previous generation z900?
I’m really torned between this and the MT-09

New design, new lights and the cruise control do it for me

@piotrpachla6445 Debatable but i understand you like the Kawasaki. They are quality bikes i don't doubt this
And everyone is better off with 155 horsepower vs. 125 horsepower, because?
I think this is prettier than the Hornet, however those extra Horses are difficult to ignore!!

Does it come with wheelie control?
Yes. But you should learn how to control your throttle anyway.

thank you!
Compare hornet pl
Yes sir! :.-)
@ all the reviews seem paid and not real enough on the hornet, I want to know if I can live with it in real life.
Aside from cost, they are not the same category. Cost varies in different markets.
