Congratulations! That's a big one off the list. That framing team is by far one of the best I've seen. I've watched construction in person and on video so I have seen a great many teams. While most were good or decent this team really has it together. They did you a solid with the job that is well done over and above expectations. So glad you found them for your build.
Hate to hear about the company having to close for a time. Dog gone it. I just pray the effects from this virus start to heal and soon.

Those framers are awesome, although it seems like everyone you’ve contracted with have taken a great deal of pride in their workmanship. I’ve learned a lot over the course of this series. It is so exciting to see all the progress that’s being made and how quick it’s coming together, Jaime! Jeremy, I know it’s just me and my phobia of heights but I can’t help but to cringe when I watch your crew doing their thing. I know they’ve probably done that kinda stuff hundreds of times and they are good at it and comfortable doing it but I sure wouldn’t be able to make any progress at all because I’d be holding on with both hands if I could even get up the ladder. Crack them guys an extra beer, they’ve done y’all a good job and have earned it! I pray that everyone is still doing well and look forward to the next update. God bless! 🙏👍

I have watched a few of your videos. You guys have put out the most down to earth and realistic information videos from your experience in the school of hard knocks and life lessons which you have kindly passed on with your videos. I grew up in a southern USA farming environment of living and selling off the land. I do know where and how my food comes from and I want no part of it. There is nothing romantic about it for me, but I truly do respect your family for the tough decisions and compromises you have made for the greater goal of going back to the land. I am not built for such hardships. I ride my mostly solar charged battery Ebike instead of a car. If it rains I hire Lyft or Uber which it does not rain much in Arizona :-) I fit 300 watts of solar panels on my studio condo but I get most of my power from a lithium ion battery wall that recharges late at night from the power company when rates are lowest. I do run this off grid and it only powers my led lights, computer, television screen, and shared 4g internet which I have on on separate AC circuits than the fridge, microwave, and mini split air conditioner. I run those conventions through the local power company. I grow tomatoes and radishes on my patio garden but thats as far back to the land as I am going. I grew up there and I prefer a smaller compromise and a more modern and detached from the farm living :-) Thanks again for your very open and honest videos.
I watched part of this with my hand over my mouth, your build crew are awesome, I was shocked to see them hanging out of windows with sheets of plywood type stuff like it was nothing, but they did an amazing job and the house looks great, shame about the special glass but you will get it later.
I have to tell you guys how exciting it is to see this project coming together, very happy everytime a new video gets posted. I'm absolutely confident you will find a solution to the custom window issue, even if you have to do it yourself. Keep us updated, we love watching.

Wow . That certainly is going to be a nice looking house . One can relate to how the house will look like once it's done with that drawing . Those carpenters amaze me . There is no way that I would get up those ladders , crawl onto the platform and put up that house wrap . Gave me the chills just watching them .

I can't imagine the money it costs. But I watch every commercial possible. It's just so beautiful.
Intriguing watching this from the UK. No safety helmets, high viz jackets, safety boots, scaffolding, safety harnesses, covered walkways etc. I am the first to acknowledge that Health and Safety restrictions can become so excessive that it is counter productive but this cavalier approach is fascinating. Clearly very hard working and productive crew but part of me is astonished by the lack of safety provisions. Enjoying the videos though and its not for me to judge the approach of other countries.
I wouldn't call it a country wide thing. At the end of the day its up to the builder to make sure his guys are safe.

In case u didn't know the sky scraper in new your city was build without safety harness. They were much higher and windy er than this.this is not a union job.there are no safety inspector here.

I made my own frames out of 1x6 pine , but those custom windows were HEAVY and needed a glass guy with the suction cups !

Crazy Idea, BUT since you have to wait for the Windows, maybe put up some of that Clear plastic roofing you can get for gardens for a few months so you can have light to see, but weather protection while you work on the house, its usually near the plastic and metal roofing often used with sheds. just a thought! then maybe when you are don with the house you can make a greeen house for some winter veggies?

Framing is looking great. Bummer about the windows, and I hope you can get 'em sooner -- than later. Like to point out a serious design flaw, however. You have two nooks and NO crannies.
