Most famous medieval figures and events were adventurers. Just a few: + People crusade: a band of adventuring peasants + Crusades: while many crusaders were landed lords, some who were accompanying weren't, and became lords through conquest. + Mongols: Genghis Khan was essentially an adventurer for most of his early life before securing an army and a realm to call his own. Most of his descendants at the head of various "hordes" were army leaders, without a clear realm to themselves saved for those they subjugated. + Marco Polo: needless to say, it was implemented as such that he's an adventurer. + Leif Erikson, Thorfinn Karlsefni and essentially most of the Vikings: implemented in the game, but perhaps more sea events for the explorer adventurers would be cool. The Ruriks were adventurers after all and their start can be as adventurers instead of being given rulership. + White company/John Hawkwood: Mercenaries are needless to say, playable in the game as it is. + Turks: much like the Mongols, the Turkoman were nomadic people, essentially adventurers, initially. + China: while China is not in the game proper, a lot of Chinese history were formed from adventurers. Emperor Taizu of Song for instance was said to have become a wanderer for a while before joining another lord as a general. Of course, the most famous wanderers among Chinese history are those of the Three Kingdom period, which predates CK. There's also Zheng He who sailed to the Arabian peninsula and East Africa.

If I could start an adventuring band of cultists that think I'm the new prophet, I would never need another game. As "unlanded rulers" I would argue that prophets must be some of the most notable and charismatic adventurers to inspire heretical sects and such.
I have always expected them to add China if only because of the map tearing at the edge. And it’s kind of just an obvious thing right? It expands the Mongol Invasions in a meaningful way. China is of course a massive population and a long history to explore. Also think about the Chinese market that gets opened up with this. A lot of people expect it to come with a Silk Road update which makes a lot of sense.
@frankiecedeno3724 I don't think they'll ever update the map, just because the map was basically like that in CK2. I don't think they want performance to take that much of a hit
But how great is it you can have an actual historian talking actual history and still have it directly relate to a video game and its upcoming mechanics additions. I'll take glorified ads like this all day.
Honestly loved this ladies enthusiasm. You guys need to fix the sound though. The peaks were way too high, she has a higher pitched voice so you need to account for it. Overall great video and I'm excited to play this one!

The Cid doesnt get even half of the recognition it would be if it wasnt Spanish I think haha. So Im glad she mentioned him. Mercenaries moved from Christians to Muslim hands constantly religion didnt matter that much. In Spain you could see a Christian kingdom and a Muslim one allied to defeat another muslim or Christian kingdom that is enemy of them both. So religion wasnt that important. In actual, most were Spanish natives, the only thing that changed really was religion
Too bad she didnt talk about the GOAT Ibn Batutta, I mean, the lived the dream, but I get it, shes here protoming the game and the adventurers of the game
I think Bodanchar Munkhag ancestor of Chingis khan should be landless. In the secret history of mongols, he was chased away by his 3 brothers. Those 3 brothers had power considering Bodanchar after fleeing to different land, asks them to help him conquer those that land. Also Munkhag was a derogatory nickname like William the bastard. So he should be titled "Munkhag" basically an idiot. Also he should found the Borjigin clan. His other brothers founded other clans too.
