First and important to remember----Do NOT take it personal ----- Let them rant and complain, yes, including your supervisor. I learned a long time ago that you have no idea what their homelife is like. Don't second guess, just nod and say you understand then go do the best job you know how. If it gets too much for you to handle then get another job. This sort of thing happens to everyone, so don't feel as if you are being singled out. Remember, the woman who takes something out on you may have an abausive husband or mother, or perhaps they have no money to buy something nice for themselves, or their child is deathly ill, or their car needs repairs and they can't aford it, or they just lost their own job. Or any of 1000 other things that would make a person angry or unhappy. Just smile and nod. Ask what you could do to help and see how they change their attitude.
I work on a sales floor. I don't have reports to turn in. My biggest problem is dealing with verbal abuse from bosses and strangers.
