This was the first Rancid song I ever heard. What an absolute, grade-A, pure banger. I’ve been noodling on this for a few hours over the last week and it’s so much fun to play. I hope you enjoy it.
Man is seriously up there for me. Might sound like a predictable list but Matt, Mike Dirnt, Roger Lima and Mark Hoppus are each uniquely responsible for me playing bass today!
I record through a Behringer BDI21 pedal which is like a Sansamp - for this one I turned the “drive” up a little more than usual to get that gritty break up. From there the DI goes straight into GarageBand where I use a little bit of compression and that’s it!
