Matt Freeman is a monster bass player in OP IVY, Rancid, Devils Brigade, and anything else he plays on. I could only wish to play as good as him. His technique is beyond words. Remember, Lars was going to join U.K. Subs before he chose to join Rancid. The base sound is Matt Freeman and Tim Armstrong. Tim seems to play less guitar now live then in the past. Lars does it more, it seems.

So many 'musicians' who had it in them, and that's what I think sets Rancid apart from so many others! You had so many with natural musical talent all complimenting one another! :)
Life Won't Wait is the best Rancid album hands down... yes better than And Out Comes The Wolves and that album is legendary

Brilliant band, they were meant to be supporting green day in Glasgow couple of years ago, show got called off cos it was raining! Of course it was fuckin raining, its Scotland man! So lars goes to a flat in Glasgow, has a beer n plays acoustic, and his head shaved, what a fuckin guy!!!
