    As a traveling shooter, it is always a good idea to just set up your shoot before you have to actually do the shoot with the clients. I definitely been there before. And great video!

    Amazed to see your lights with lightbanks on Uni To stands. You've sold me on the Light Banks. . Two cameras, lights, in 3 cases, excellent work.

    One of those as a hair light is such a cool idea. I will be picking one up!

      For sure! With the grid it makes a great hair light, even on bigger shoots.

    I'm glad I clicked on this video. I'm definitely going to look into both the lights on the modifiers. That travel/Pelican case setup was dope to see as well.

      go for it, near expendables money... I have two, but opted out for the LCDs because I heard they made make the modifier sag with the extra weight, but not sure how true it is. I have just usually skirted it if I need

    havent finished the video yet but those inflatable modifiers are really cool, I think an inflatable lantern/dome type thing would be nice, and I imagine a bit easier to set up than a normal lantern with the rods and whatnot 👏

    Good, interesting video. The never ending quest for compact travel gear. I have the 1615 case. Its my favourite for going in the hold but I like my production manger 20 much more. The 500 watt light looks interesting for size but I would guess that was the source of the buzz on the hotel room sound. I went with the Smallrig 450bi. I am happy with that light and there small Fresnel is great for travel.

    You check your cameras and lenses? I have had my gear NOT show up or the cases show up opened too many times to check them. Much less the tossing around they get when luggage handlers load and unload. I have traveled a lot with gear both domestic and international, so this comes from experience. I do like those light banks!

    Awesome lights I’m going g to look into those…. Question about the audio - what audio device are you using, it doesn’t appear to be going directly into the FS5? Thank you!

  • @videopromike
    @videopromike หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You’ve probably answered this question in another video, but what picture profile do you use to match the Sony FS 5 and your mirror is cameras like the Sony a7IV or FX3? Because if I remember correctly, you usually just shoot and send off the footage or do you just shoot it in S-log3 and then convert it?

    Dude, you get some of the coolest gigs. The Bible Museum… that’s amazing! Would love to be on a crew for you if you ever come to California and you need help. Those air tubes looked amazing in the hotel room, they hardly took up any space in comparison to soft boxes.

    At the 15:54 mark it's interesting that you're shooting at 2000 ISO with that much natural light.
    Can you explain the thought process behind that?

    • @jbf5030
      @jbf5030 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The FS5 slog base iso is 2000

    • @AndresArosemena
      @AndresArosemena หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jbf5030thanks. That would mean then that if I was using a Canon with base iso 800, those lightbanks with the key light at aprox 300w would not be enough light to expose for the windows and the talent, right?

    17:13 This kind of shot is such a pain in the ass for me. The subject is extremely close to the window, yet you need to light him from camera-left while getting a large enough light to overpower the sun. All of this, while still exposing for the Capitol. I avoid placing a big light source so close and above the subject, making these shots a pain for me to setup. The Lightbank made this look awesome and safe. They-->Lightbank
