The absolute catharsis of American Idiot in college, driving friends to go vote in 2004. Know Your Enemy gave me the strength I needed to finally dump my ex and move on after a year of profound grief. Saviors is pure longing for a simpler time in a world of absolute chaos. If I could have asked them to write ONE song, it's on this album. This album is literally every reason I have loved this band since I was 10 years old and I will love them forever.

Childhood? I was 18 when "Dookie" came out. I was broken up that Kurt Cobain had died and that album was really a salve for the grief. So catchy and punchy. A punk rock band on a big label like Nirvana was. I kept telling everyone that they were the Second Coming of The Ramones and "Dookie" was the one of the best punk albums ever. No one cared, until they played Woodstock and became the biggest band in the world. Rock on, Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre!
