I had visited Landour in the summer of 2017 for a short solo trip. As a female, it was so liberating to be able to walk the streets of Landour even after dark. Woh 3-4 din toh maine jam ke long walks enjoy kiye. Bas main, meri tanhayee aur Landour ke jagmagaate pahaad.

It was summer of 2006 when I was alone in the hostel because I was attending my coaching classes. The hostel had a room which is never allotted to any one as it was believed to be haunted. My room was just a floor above that room. But students, like me, used to park their cycles in front of that room.
One evening I was back from my classes between 7-8 PM. I was taking my bicycle to park and remember I wasn't even riding it. Suddenly, the tyre punctured while I was just taking it on a smooth cemented floor. There shouldn't be any reason for the puncture.
I was shocked but ignored. Since there was no one in the mess to cook food, I bought bananas for the night which I was carrying on the bike, hanged the poly bag on the handle.
As soon as the tyre punctured in front of the room, the poly bag holding the bananas, ripped apart. Bananas were on the floor.
It was not enough. When I parked the bicycle to pick up bananas, the one and only bulb which was lighting up the floor went off.
Meri jo fatt ke haanth me aayi. I managed to pick up 2 bananas and ran like something is chasing me. You might have seen a common scene in many movies where something is chasing a person but the person is unable to unlock the door of the room or the car. Same happened with me. With every passing second, I skipped a heart beat. I couldn't believe that I was alive until I was inside the door and spent next 30 mins just looking at the door. I was expecting a strong knock at the door. But nothing like that happened. After 30 mins, I played a nice song on my CD Player to divert my mind and today I am alive to tell you and your followers this story.
Like you said, I don't know if it was a ghost or not. But those things that happened in sequence within just a fraction of a second is highly unlikely to explain.

Jamie, Back in the '80's, Mr. Ajay Mark (PE Dir. Woodstock School) expressed his skepticism about the existence of ghosts, etc. during a class discussion in College. Upon our return from the holidays, he related a scary experience of seeing rocks rolling down the hillside as he was returning home late one night. When they went back there the next day, there was no sign of a landslide. I don't know exactly where this occurred, but I am assuming it was in Landour.
