Do keep in mind the skull only triggers with an attack not from free strikes which is where this deck gets its power. That said though i did add a copy in here for when the opportunity comes up.
I have one in the deck now but at first i cut it since i wasnt really taking attack actions with it. I mainly spammed cards that granted strikes which didnt trigger the skull. Changed up my play style though to make battlemages ability and skull much better.

Glad youre enjoying all the videos and i hope they help you out when starting the game! Its arguable that every deck should have them to some extent. I just dont have them all, 8 boxes and i only got 3 cores (2 of which were the same lol) and i also got no philosopher's stone. The mixes i didnt get full play sets of either so i decided to leave those cards out of my decks and keep them for my draft cube. I say for this game just run what looks cool over being fully optimized too. Thank you for checking out my videos too!
Hello, thank you for the excellent content. May I ask if all of the art in this game is hand drawn? Some of it almost looks too smooth and slick - like it was computer generated somehow (Grapple Shot being a case in point). Thanks!
As an artist myself i can assure you all this art is 100% hand done. Its very possible to make paintings look smooth like that by using thin layers, smaller brushes and tight brush strokes. Plus these artists have been in this line of work for probably most of their lives so theyve had a few years of practice to say the least haha
When taking an attack action on a tapped unit if there isnt another untapped unit there or adjacent it will be a one sided fight. If they are untapped or anything there or adjacent then they can tap to defend and then the fight will happen on both sides. Battlemage can take quite the beating if its attacking things that are untapped. Cards that grant "strikes" though are different, read "strike" as "deal damage equal to it power" meaning no fight is happening and the target kf the strike doesnt get to fight back. Thats why i run so many cards that grant free strikes to avoid units fighting back. Also the card Sleep is key to protecting Battlemage from unwanted defenders.

In testing it really wasnt most of the time. The deck can clear out minions fast and most of the games i had the opposing avatar on deaths door at like t5 or t6 with one or two hits/cards played.
It was in my initial build but cut it (for more copies of cards that grant free strikes) since i dont really attack a lot in the deck, i mainly do free strikes. I save the actual attack for the enemy avatar. Its still in a short stack i habe set aside though.
Screaming Skull is a must with this type of deck in my opinion

@@Korlash1990 I'm pretty sure all units strike each other simultaneously during basic attacks. Tapped or untapped, doesn't matter.

What about running sinkholes for if the opponent manages to live past 5 and starts gaining mana advantage or just pinging you with spells?
That is a good idea especially for hate against sites that dont let your avatar enter them too.
What card sleeves are you using?
Im using dragonsheild matte sleeves and i think the color name is petrol. Slate is the color for the atlas deck
