King Arthur was always summoning Merlin. Possible Merlin card. This set is going to blow up. The foils are going to be off the charts gorgeous.
I feel pretty sure we will get a Merlin card, at least I really hope so and Morgaine as well. I think the set will be major for Sorcery!
It really fits the vibe of the game and who doesn't love the myths surrounding King Arthur, so I think this set will be one that really puts Sorcery on the map. Other solution which would fix the uniques in precons would be if the ones found in boosters were foils only, not regular ones.

Awesome to see this upcoming art. Can't wait for this set, it's looking so awesome. As for King Arthur's mechanic, I wonder if he'll have perhaps some kind of Exodia mechanic, where if you can assemble Arthur and a bunch of knights around the Round Table, you win the game. You would build your deck around building and defending a position, a "castle" on your side of the board, rather than building to attack. Could be super interesting.
I actually think that would be a really cool way to use the The Round Table, King Arthur and the knights, and if not as a win condition, then at least something super powerful!
I think the mechanics and play style of something like that would be really interesting.
In general, there is just a lot of cool play space and I can’t wait to see what the team decides to do with it. 🙌🏻

I can see King Arthur having a Genesis or even a passive ability that helps search for his unique knights of the round.

maybe King Arthur will have something like the ability to interac with a special monument card (the rock with excalibur inside) that must be placed in the enemy back row and if king arthur is alone at the end of the turn on this square, you win the game or a major advantage (like it becomes the artifact Excalibur, + 2 mana per turn + 4 power to wielder) lol :) Marco

That sounds like a cool idea! I really hope that King Arthur has some form of synergy or interaction with either Excalibur, Camelot or Knights, beside The Round Table, I feel like that would really be a great way to illustrate some of the legends on a card mechanic.

Great video as usual. I believe KA will give all the same types as the round table +1 and genesis be able to summon Merlin (if there is one) to his location. Or they may make a wizard or mage if they can’t use “Merlin” and let him pull that one.
I also think sir Tristan will have +x damage or lethal vs dragons and could cover east west and ancient dragon even if they don’t introduce new ones in AL.
Thank you for the kinds words! I think that would also be a plausible mechanic, and I really like the idea that Sir Tristan would interact with dragons like that, I think that would be really flavorful and fitting with the art.
King Arthur. If he has x amount of knights on the board, get +x along with other effects.

Yeah, I think that we need to remember that it is early and the game got vastly more popular between they ordered the Beta print run and when it released.
I think precons are a good way to go and we are a lot of people trading back and forth for singles.
They were very honest about the fact that demand had outstripped supply, and I think Arthurian Legends will be more available.
Where are you located?
How do you think the new Arthurian legend’s set will synergize with the Beta and Alpha cards ? Do you think some cards will have new mechanics specific for the new set? Or the entire set will have synergies with alpha and beta cards? How should that be? What Is your opinion about it? Thanks so much for your content!!
Thanks for checking out the video. ;) I feel fairly confident it will based on what Erik said in the 2023 Retrospective, that there will be a lot of cards that matter for people's constructed decks, and to top it off, they also really tested the set for draft, so it will be amazing for both limited and for synergy with Alpha/Beta. 🤩
I think that so far the consensus is that Arthurian Legends will be around 200 cards, so I think they took the care to make sure that will be interesting synergies with the prior set, and that AL works on its own as well. I think we will see some new mechanics or ways that the card in AL will expand the use of certain mechanics, so I believe we have a lot of good things coming!

It will be released all the places that Sorcery has distribution and we still don’t know or have official confirmation on when the set is releasing.
