Ashley fantastic video! Thank you. I wish I had this about 2 years ago. I was definitely pressured into my first purchase with an envy wig that I will never wear. I will never go back to the shop again. Not a good experience. I learned by watching tons and I mean tons of reviews on many styles that I was interested in… next was nailing my color match and learning what brands worked for me. I only buy from companies with great return policies.. one really has to be very careful with human hair. I have 2 human hair hat wigs from reputable places that I have had to change the color as it never matched what was ordered. I have learned the hard way right in my pocketbook fixing. It’s all from china….That color is fantastic on you! Love it and curious what wig your wearing it looks great. Thank you again for these great tips to everyone.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sure it will help someone else, though I am sorry for all the time and money you wasted. Feeling pressured is awful- especially when shopping for something as sensitive as a wig.
I'm wearing a RW piece in this video.
I do have a commission code ASHLEY30 for you to use, if you're interested.

I definitely have more to share. Would a part 2 help?
What questions do you still have after watching this?

Yes. I can’t stand lace fronts with knots. I pull my bio hair in front and hide lace. I recently saw a video on bleaching knots from underneath so they blend. It’s like magic 🎉

I so agree. I have only bought online from places with ample return policies to allow me to try it at home. I went to a local wig shop and it was laughable. I went in looking for a topper, brought my own topper grip and wanted to see what they had. The man bullied me into trying full wigs, and they looked ridiculous. He brought me a wig cap (his idea) and had me try on the wigs he brought out with the wig cap. After I declined all of the wigs he had me try on I said I might come back another day. He said I needed to purchase the wig cap. I told him that I didn’t even want a wig and he put it on my head! I didn’t buy it and never went back. The wigs he had didn’t even have parts!

Oh my goodness! I applaud how you handled this. I think that many women might have caved and spent money where they didn't wish to spend.
Thank you for sharing; you might have saved someone else. 💕

Wish I had seen this before. I walked in. The lady suggested a topper although my hair loss is all over especially front hairline which is all receded. Walked out with $650 topper, custom trimmed so can't return. Never looked right so went back week later. Bought wig. They cut off tags and wouldn't tell me brand, style or color. So that totally added to my stress level for sure!

Very good information. I was scammed and the shop did not allow photos. I new something was not right but desperate to find a piece and was taken advantage of.

Hey Ashley, was just curious.. have you ever travelled wearing your topper while in airports and did it get detected while you were scanned?

    • @lifebeyondlocks
      @lifebeyondlocks  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

Such a good question. I have never been stopped for the metal clips. 💕
I did once out myself because the detector, I thought, went off, but apparently, it was a routine hand swab they wanted. Lol.
      You're safe. 💕😊

Great video. Thank you. Read the company return policy!Lauren Ashtyn has zero return policy only exchanges within 48 hours! Their marketing is terrific with older clients. It was a horrible experience dealing with them. $1200 and I received a very poor quality human hair topper. I don’t trust that company. Other wig companies have wonderful exchanges and return policies please shop around. Lesson learned.

Yes, I tried to caution a friend about purchasing from them this year. I haven't tried myself, so I can't personally speak to the quality, but I would always be cautious of a high-price point with no returns allowed.
Thank you for the kind comment. 💕
