Great looking build again, Piet! Cool to see some of Gavin's work helping you get this done. I will be doing my first barrel swap sometime in the next year. I think I am about halfway through my first barrel, so I will be keeping an eye on it and tackle that job when it needs it. With my Impact action, I should be able to just remove the current and torque the new one down. I am hoping it goes well, but either way I will be sharing it here when I do that job! My local PRS season starts in 2 weeks, so I am doing final load testing this weekend and working on my positional skills some. Gonna test the new Armageddon Gear Game Changer X bag I got in a few days ago as well!! Busy weekend for me, lol.

Simple question - hopefully fairly simple answer. I hunt Limpopo area for Kudu being the largest animal taken and working on Tint Ten. Only bring one rifle with me from States to hunt with. Prefer common stand available ammo. Is there one caliber you would recommend rod hunting that are>. Much thanks. Love the channel.

What's the big deal with the Sherman? I have a 6.5 PRC and I'm getting tired of all the forums making it sound like my gun is shit and I need to build a $5000 Sherman short. It looks like Sherman is doing the same thing Ackley does and is just putting super aggressive shoulders on established cases to wring an extra 50fps out of it. If I was that worried about max speed out of a 6.5 I would have bought a 26 Nosler.
Its not so simple, the Sherman is a true short action, so looking at it side by side with the PRC its actually a much shorter case. So not just a ackley PRC. Nothing wrong with your PRC, I owned one too and it shot great! Mine was built on a long action because shooting the 156’s isnt possible at optimal length from a short action. Hope that makes sense?
