Hi. Apologies if this is a daft question but I am just starting to explore amplification. How is the mic powered ? Other amps I have seen refer to phantom power for the microphone but I don’t see any reference to this on this amp. Thanks in advance
Could you please tell us if the audio we hear prior to the 6:30 mark is a line recording or a microphone recording of the BAC 30 speaker? It is clear that at the 6:30 mark the audio is coming from an iPhone line recording. The line recording sounds great! The audio prior to the 6:30 mark seems more than acceptable for home or small gig work. But before I buy the amp, I just wanted to verify that the audio prior to the 6:30 mark is a microphone recording of he BAC 30 speaker. BTW, a well done presentation!
Hi there, I'm Steve from Blackstar (the chap in the video) Yes the audio you hear prior to the IPhone recording audio is from a Condenser mic in the room around 5 feet in front of me playing and chatting. This combo would be ideal for smaller intimate gigs, and attentive audiences. If you needed more power, the XLR DI output in the rear of the amp can simultaneously connect to a PA or extra monitor if you wish, while the Acoustic Core speakers are still active. The fact you can use it with the optional Blackstar PB1 power bank, will give you a great busking solution as well. The battery life gives you around 8 hours on the PB1. I hope this helps,
I get a massive buzzing sound when I use the livestream in feature. I connect a trrs male to male cable via a lighting to 3.5mm adaptor and the audio is terrible and buzzy😭
When I put my headphones into the headphone jack of this amp, the speakers are not muted and I need to manually turn off the master volume. Do you know whether this is normal for this model or I have a faulty one ?
@@elclubdewallace3770 Blackstar contacted me about that. It’s a standard feature. Master volume controls the speaker, it does not control the input volume (when connected through line in or usb) or the headphone volume
@@caglanukulele that would explain the issues some people have live streaming, they need to turn down the master or live stream using headphones right?
If you can't get the trrs to work, the usb will work with your phone. Just connect the correct cord between them. USB mini B to whatever your phone is.

Whats the best software to use for the usb recording. Blackstar Insider doesn't seem to work with this model.

It’s the same with mine did you find out if it’s a failure or it’s a standard feature?

I want one!! However, my acoustic has a passive puedo stick on pickup. I wonder if a passive pickup would have a volume problem?
Have the same question. I have a passive magnetic soundhole pickup. Kna sp-1 single coil
Add a preamp. That will allow you to tweak EQ and raise volume level.

Well, the usb connection streams out only the mic output and not the guitar. Any idea?
