Love mature adult conversations like this!! As an independent I want an ADULT as a president! Also do NOT want the chaos that Trump encourages, embraces!!
Are you saying that trump isn't an adult? He's technically been an adult for 60 years. The fact that his mind never advanced beyond the age of six must be your issue.
Dear America, please don't fuck this up. We're sick of Trump too. We would really appreciate continued stability. Get well soon. Love from your cousins, Australia
I'm just a random guy on the internet, following all your podcasts, trying to be a better human. Once again, thanks for the enlightening conversation Jon.
Although not as historic or iconic as his original Daily Show run, or as investigative as his brief run with Apple, this may be my favorite Jon Stewart vehicle. I especially like how he ends each show by sharing the spotlight with 3 beautiful women a generation (at least) younger than he is, without making it creepy, patronizing, or sexist at all. The choice of guests is usually spot on, and Jon does a great job of letting them fully express themselves while still getting his thoughts in there. Regardless of who wins, please keep this going!
Excellent show with fabulous guests. I have heard Mona Charen before, but this is the first time I could see her as more rational & human than hard-core & right-wing. The combo of Jon Stewart and Lawrence Tribe is like the addition of a little cream & sugar to a bitter and very strong cuppa. The three of them together made it easier for me to accept her views with less frustration and more interest, even when I don't agree with some of them. And Lawrence Tribe is, as usual, a delight and a homecoming. He's like a welcoming hearth and a cup of hot chocolate on a cold and blustery night. 💙 Thanks Jon & Co. 😺
That's funny, I hadn't read or listened to much of Mona Charen prior to this cycle and this was the most right-wing I've heard her. Usually on the Bulwark, their criticisms of Trumpism aren't all that different from our own.
I'd almost forgotten that people on opposite sides can have courteous, intelligent conversations looking for solutions for all. This show is restoring my faith.
Hey Jon! Be a fan for years! I’m really thankful you’re back at it. Sorry apple didn’t work out. So glad to have you as a voice of reason and comedic relief throughout all of this madness.
What an amazing conversation! This is what it looks like when you invite the other side to the table for meaningful discussion & not commit to locking them up when there is disagreement. Sensible communication has a real strong chance of producing answers both sides can truly agree upon. Thank you for showing us this still exists!
As a computer programmer, I spent a great deal of time and effort rewriting code to make sure that Y2K wouldn't be a disaster. This year I donated to the Harris campaign and cast my vote for her in an effort to once again prevent an epic disaster.

That’s why many of us Americans are here too 😂 Intelligent, authentic conversation about the complexities of our government isn’t always easy to find. Jon Stewart is a living legend.
You have to be careful when you listen to intelligent, informative conversations like this. There are WAY TOO MANY people, large swaths of Americans, who believe the Earth is flat, that the government controls the weather, that there are Jewish Space lasers and that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump.
Love your work Jon! ❤ The way you articulate questions and openness with which you listen to others is just amazing! You speak whatever I always have in mind. Keep up the great work!
This was one of my favorite podcasts in a long while. I mean all of Jon’s podcasts are great, but this is a much needed conversation that I see America needs to have. The US has a complicated history and unfortunately for social media it really requires a nuanced conversation, which seems impossible. Like freedom for every man was and still is a big deal. However for Tomas Jefferson man meant white land owning man. But today it means something very different. That tension is hard to deal with. People can be good and bad.
Agree on the necessary nuance for many things and unfortunately, the online world and social platforms aren't really set up for that. It's all focused on speed, likes and attention. The more that path is pursued, the harder it is to dig into the complexities of many issues faced in the world today. It's now like trying to dig a path for a highway with a plastic spoon... a massive challenge as we've all come to see.
