Hello, I love Italy, will you ever live there full-time? , My husband and I have thought of Italy permanently but through our research it's very difficult to get a permanent visa
#1 a system designed to keep blacks working like animals and at the end of the day can’t take care of your self and family, violent crime ridden neighborhoods police brutality need I go on.
Right on about not becoming colonizers. I don't want to be "the ugly American." Appreciate your reminding me of that. Even when we go as individuals, it's important to unlearn some of the hubris of America. I once did believe I lived in the best country in the world. But I'm working on shaking off the propaganda.
This is definitely a new trend: retired girl friends buying a house together or multigenerational families also buying large homes together = community
I have been thinking about this a lot and there are some very nice affordable hotel spaces that could be easily used as coliving spaces for Black women.
I’ve coined “Megatiny” house myself lol let’s make a megatiny community as phase 1- with affordable, sustainable, and energy efficient smart homes. I’ve always been a pioneer, gotta blaze and light up a new path! 🔥 I’m done waiting.
Our home is 200 square ft near the Grand Canyon. 7 acre farm. The land wasn't developed. It's a simple life. Hauling water and solar power. No bills other than propane and water. We grow our own food.
My niece bought a place in Jamaica, but being the only one to run a resort was too much for her. Many cultures live in community and advance themselves. It would be amazing to do this. I would love to do this.
My life here abroad in Thailand with my little family is everything that we could ask for. I'm happy we didn't wait an whole extra year to make the move. Sharing this to say, NOW may just be the BEST time for you to leave and lIVE your dream life ✨️
This is where I’m trying to move to this year 2025. My thing is trying to figure out how to maintain living over there financially. It’s not as easy for foreigners coming over there trying to get work. Either you are going to be a teacher and teach English. Or you can become a life guard. Any insight that you have to offer as far as job stability like remote work etc., will be helpful. Thank you!
My late father bought some land in Panama, and a man was interested in the land. There were some misunderstandings amongst us and the land still there. On my moms side in Dominica, there IS land, and I feel amongst the ones here, we can build.
I agree with the points you made. All are valid. I will add this one to explain why this is not a good idea. I have yet to be involved in many all-black woman enterprises where at least one woman insists on including whatever male is in her life. it could be her son, lover, or spouse, but at least one will want an exception to include him, and it starts a lot of drama. 2025 is the planning year for my exit from the US. My plan is to make the move in 2026. This is to establish a safe harbor outside of the US for my family should it be needed. The plan is to live between the two countries.
2025 is also the year that I will be planning my exit from this country. I want to be out by 2026, but it isn’t realistic due to my work and money situation. So, I pushed moving out of the country back to 2028, just before the elections. It is nice to see another comment from another black woman that feels the same way.
My safety is my top priority, BW have a femicide rate by BM almost every 5 hours. I can't speak on other races, as any harm has been from Black Men in my experience. Several BW went to various parts of Africa last year and came back in a casket. Femicide there is every 3 hours. I have checked out different women co-living groups in America. Golden Girl type places. They are mostly WW, and they will not allow anyone on the property that is a felon or convicts. So that is a big safety issue for me as I don't spend time around criminals. As well as the relationship drama with men. I'm all for it as long as males are not there, and exceptions are not made. If mayles are involved it's going to be some drama.
My family is important and I think a place where land and community is available. Imagine coming together and buying 500 acres of land and making it a community.
& everybody thinks I’m crazy for say this. I want an authentic commune just positive and real like minded individuals. I’m fed up. I got family in Freeport but I will say my experience is jaded. Name where and when Stephanie!!!! My request is building a real economic mobility program for our Exodus fam and black women!
& I need a nanny like NEOW 😂 I’m especially fed up being part of the archaic joke of an American education system. We are FAILING our youth!!! It’s insanity.
Happy, Blessed & Bountiful New Year! Having a forced isolation, after my beautiful sister (and best friend) transitioned last year, I love the idea of a community of empowering & empowered Black women living together! Where would one go, if the changing of seasons is welcome? I love falling leaves & snowfall and the "marking of chapters", that seasons bring, where would someone like me go?... Thank you, friend -- I've been greatly enjoying your channel! Peace & Blessings! 💗🦋✨️
Great point about not replicating the system by doing the same things done in the U.S., abroad. It's so engrained in us to acquire material at the expense of other people's livelihoods (and even our own). Choosing to not participate in the rat race will rewire your brain and bring so much peace!
I can see buying a few rentals in strategic places that operates as a soft landing for people. But not a full commune. And the country has to allow it!
That's a good idea. They do it in some African countries like Ghana, Uganda etc. I've moved back to my home in the Caribbean, but if I was an AA I'd do it with a trusted network, in a black country or island where people look like me and the income isn't too vast, where I don't have to worry about robberies. I don't understand why people are still hell bent on living in countries where they don't look like you. I agree with Stephanie about not keeping yourself apart from the locals. Racial tension is high all over the world and getting worst, there's should only be a "visit" mindset and not putting down roots. I'm sorry, I'm not fear mongering. I just hate to see the overseas bullying of the brothers and sisters.
I'm in PA and we are working under wyt man's mentality😢, we need to work together to benefit us all, no one has made it anywhere without help. Money is always an issue when working with groups of people.😢
Aloha and Mahalo nui loa Ms. Stephanie!! I love Dr. Joy DeGruy! I have been traveling and living abroad since 2016. I am sooooooooooo ready to become an Expat in community!! Grateful for ExodUS. I look forward to be in community with likeminded woman that look like me!!! Love, Light and Bountiful Bows!!😍
Since listening to your channel, I have decided to become a part of the house sitter community. I will do some local work along w/travel. Looking forward to it!!!!
I took the quiz and it's funny I got Playa Del Carmen and that's the last place I visited and fell in love with it. I can't believe how spot on this quiz it!
Hi Stephanie! Watching the replay - some good perspectives on deciding on location based on needs and being open to change mindsets to adjust to new experiences.👍
I appreciate your work and comments, especially and getting trapped by the concept of Black Excellence. I made that mistake and went to graduate school. Your TH-cam page reminds us that there are so many other options. I can't do heat and humidity either.

As a realtor that helps clients purchase in Mexico, I absolutely agree with the first point! I say an investment property is great for income but NO, don’t go setting up the American dream abroad leave that here and go LIVEEEE
I'm sorry, I have to make a hair comment. Your hair is too cute! Looking healthy, bouncy and hydrated...all the things. Suits you well. Traveling abroad is clearly giving you radiant skin and fabulous calm. That's my fist point...lol. Second, great video. You handled a common question with your customary love, grace, and superior ability to to teach. I'm really impressed. I've come across ppl who have tried to explain something similar but it came off condescending and elitist. I understand the question and I appreciate your perspective. We have A LOT to unlearn. So glad you brought up colonizing an area, not taking the time to learn and integrate, respectfully, with a community. Lots of great points and food for thought. Thank you!
I would love to talk about it. I plan on doing it and would love to do it in community. Big job but may be easier with women who have done something as big as move abroad. The same mindset is a must.
I remember a group of three professionals buying prime real estate in Pacific Palisades (around 1985) to build a three story apartment complex where each one owned a level. They were, of course, white men.

I would LOVE to! I lived on Maui and Oahu.. I was so glad to be off the mainland. Now I am back in Florida ( I want to go back) but the husband isn’t permanently leaving the US. Personally I have never had issues with discrimination … well I have but with other black people since I was a child. No issues with white people. I only know about it from movies, television, or what my black friends have shared with their experiences.
Wow, I literally was pushed by a karen a few days ago taking my family to a fun family event. She couldn't wait to leave pushed her way through us through the threshold. Her family didn't touch us and went around. I'm getting so tired of all these entitled people it's annoying. So unexpected, but we ignored her and enjoyed ourselves. I look forward to being some place that doesn't care. I'm just another person on the planet.
That sounds so awesome sister, because ,we need to start back loving one another..blk. People loved each other back in the early yrs..I'm born in the 50s and I know this for a fact...stop running away from each other too, because lots of other women from other nation and culture say we will never be nothing because America had us hating on one another...our God is Love y'all....and he want us to come back to that .love yourself and each other .we need each other...❤❤❤❤❤
I bought a house in Italy after investigating and it’s the best decision ever. I’ve been traveling back and forth to Italy for over 20 years…
OMG! I would love to meet with you to discuss this for my retirement. Do you help others to take the initiative? How can I get in touch with you?
Hello, I love Italy, will you ever live there full-time? , My husband and I have thought of Italy permanently but through our research it's very difficult to get a permanent visa
@@karendavis4163 Yes, I plan to move there full time. They have a digital visa process now and after 5 years you can become a resident.
That would be great. We need our own planet at this point.
No lies detected, Sis.
Beam me up!
What you said!
I’ve been saying for years DamErica does not deserve us😂 I’m in ❤

@ yes, why not. That would be so cool.
Whew! The highway system and the lack of public transportation in the U.S. is STEEPED in anti-Blackness 💯 Thank you for this 🤎🙏🏽
You had some good points. I'd love mini communities throughout the world to, maybe, have a friend in every place that I'd like to visit.
Im looking forward to living the life of my dream in 2 years 🤞🏾 getting everything in order so I can be fully nomadic.
I have been thinking about this a lot and there are some very nice affordable hotel spaces that could be easily used as coliving spaces for Black women.
This needs to be explored, I think it could really work!
Please share a few of these options please!
We need to own cooperatively!
I have thought of this myself, trying to pitch it to my fam and friends.. All talk no bite..Ladies let’s set up a real interest meeting.
Good idea. I’m in.

I agree with you, Stephanie. I don't want to be a part of the problem.
