I agree. There was a shift yesterday and I can feel it today. A Black woman held the door for me on the elevator and said "I love you" and I said it back to her. We're greeting each other and I see many sisters posting on social media about burning the cape. I'm seeing White people about how great Black women are which let's me know that they are FEELING and seeing us pull away from them. It's happening and I'm so proud of my sisters.
Um, I think white ppl been feeling that way for years, from 2016 and on particularly lol I don’t think it’s sudden at all. This ain’t the first time Donald’s been elected.

Dear Stephanie ❤ I am a gay black man . Born in Cuba. You are so correct view of Latinos. Yes Mexico is my preferred country above other Latino countries. I also recommend Mexico.
I traveled to Spain 🇪🇸 in 2018 and from my take on the vibe there, I felt way more safe and carefree than I do in the US as I was born and raised in the US. It’s definitely something spiritual about America that changes people for the worse the older I’m getting.
I've been to Barcelona and enjoyed it. But there is a difference in being a tourist in a country and living there. With America being not only racist, but violent, and the high crime, just getting away from that would be freeing. But I've heard from many sources that Spain, like Italy, is pretty racists against "Blacks."
Thank you for this video today. Whew, I just need to take a deeeeeeppppp breath!! I so wanted a she in the house!! Now I'm trying to find some solid ground, and stop feeling like I'm about to pass out! 😓 Nice to see some positivity!
I moved to Mexico in June 2023. This is, of course, anecdotal, but I think there's a difference between Mexicans who live in Mexico and the ones who have moved to the U.S. If you think about it, Mexico just elected their first woman president and she is from the leftwing party, so nothing like the party of the orange clown. And, the election data showed Latino/Latina voters, only a fraction of which are Mexicans. Also would include Cubans who are heavily to the right and all the other people from all the other Latin American countries that Stephanie mentioned

Hey, I'm a psych student and there is absolute truth to what you said regarding people changing when they get here. I just finished a developmental psych class and we were taught that US- latin born people here were more likely to physically discipline their children than their forgein Latin born parents for example. there were demographics of other groups as well. I'm a us- born boricua ... it made me wonder about colonialism and the realms of our psyche and thus our lives it permeates. I don't know if we'll ever fully understand. Thank you for this video and your clarity in this time.
My preference is to be around my people; therefore, I’ll be moving to South Africa 🇿🇦. I am so over with being tolerated and wondering who’s an ally and who isn’t. Plus I don’t know what they’re saying in my face in another language. I prefer to be in a majority instead of a minority. Rant over. ♊️ 👩🏽 💫
I agree. Black people don't have any allies. If The Most High wills I am moving to Africa at the end of May 2025 if I can last that long. Jim Crow is back.
Great explanation of the differences! As a Mexican resident who has also lived in 40 countries, I’ve had similar experiences. Wishing all the women looking for new homes peace and the absolute best! ❤
This was a great video with good insights. You make an excellent point about how the USA has a way of changing people from other countries who move here. I love it, and thanks!
I think they do not recognize them as "Afro" Mexicans because they may nott want to make a distinction of race between Mexicans. Ultimately, they are Mexicans, just like we are Americans whether the government wants to recognize us as such or not. The hyphenated nationalism could be a US thing but I can see the importance of wanting to be recognized. All that really matters is how anyone identifies themself.
I wish I could agree with you with Mexico but I can't. Maybe I was in the wrong places, two of the three times I've been to Mexico was horrible. I've only been to Cozumel, Guadalajara, and Tulum. Tulum was fun because of the group I was with, but that was a fun two weeks. The other places were not kind at all. I would never go there again!

I think you are absolutely right about a new day for black women. I frequent Cape Town, South Africa I'm thinking about buying a property there. I will definitely keep my Southern California properties and keep at least one as my permanent residence. However, I see myself spending more time in Johannesburg and Cape Town with this new MAGA administration.
I love Ireland it has been on my list because the country is solid when it comes to standing up against tyrannts but they are part of the EU and if things get really bad for Blacks in the U.S. they may not be able to move independently.

They’ve made that perfectly clear. It’s not that we “want” to get involved and that we don’t want to stay at home and just worry about ourselves. We literally have had no choice. And as of last Tuesday, we better know that.
I joined this group a while ago because I love how solution oriented the group is. I’m a textile designer by trade and still don’t make enough money to really travel the way I want. Anyway, I’m just working on saving more, focused on my online business plus remote work. I’m trying not to get in a mentally sunken place because of this Fking country. Im happy Exodus will be moving to another platform in the near future because I hate FB. I only joined FB to br apart of the group. So grateful for you and Rashida!
Dear Stephanie ❤ I am a gay black man . Born in Cuba. You are so correct view of Latinos. Yes Mexico is my preferred country above other Latino countries. I also recommend Mexico.
Why was it important to mention that you are a gay man? It had nothing to do with your statement. This is a space for black women.
My older daughter finally got passports for herself and her 3 children today!
🥳🎉👏🏽👏🏽Yay! Im happy for her!
Awesome
I traveled to Spain 🇪🇸 in 2018 and from my take on the vibe there, I felt way more safe and carefree than I do in the US as I was born and raised in the US. It’s definitely something spiritual about America that changes people for the worse the older I’m getting.
Spiritual or demonic?
If it's demonic, that is spiritual.
The further I got away from the tourist district the better I felt I was treated in Mexico. My personal opinion.
Is it true that Mexicans in Mexico have a different mindset towards black women than the Mexicans in the USA?
I moved to Mexico in June 2023. This is, of course, anecdotal, but I think there's a difference between Mexicans who live in Mexico and the ones who have moved to the U.S. If you think about it, Mexico just elected their first woman president and she is from the leftwing party, so nothing like the party of the orange clown. And, the election data showed Latino/Latina voters, only a fraction of which are Mexicans. Also would include Cubans who are heavily to the right and all the other people from all the other Latin American countries that Stephanie mentioned
👰🏿♀💇🏿♀💆🏿♀Black Women have either been President or Prime Minister in the following countries:
Liberia
Tanzania
Ethiopia
Barbados
Gabon
Congo
Central African Republic
Rwanda
Senegal
Sao Tome and Princia

So why are we really so upset when a majority European American country says no to us, is it that we value their acceptance over our own people???💪🏿
I thought you were going to suggest we relocate
@@loveyvo If you want to enjoy the privileges of the majority you have to go where you are the majority.

@@MRC5981 Exactly! THAT is the question.
Harriet. I mean Ida B. I mean Stephanie. 🙂Thank you for giving me hope during these dark times. Also, what is your skincare routine? Sis is flawless.
I am with you. It is going to take me a while, but I am determined at this point.
Great explanation of the differences! As a Mexican resident who has also lived in 40 countries, I’ve had similar experiences. Wishing all the women looking for new homes peace and the absolute best! ❤
There was definitely a shift in the environment in the US after the news of Election 2024.
Embracing ease❤️ Great message.
This was a great video with good insights. You make an excellent point about how the USA has a way of changing people from other countries who move here. I love it, and thanks!
I am looking forward to moving abroad
Paola Ramos addresses this very topic in her book “Defectors”.
Thank You for this, Miss Stephanie Perry! Knew you’d post soon after election result 😂 ❤
Come on Stephanie, you are teaching tonight. Love it!
I was already omw to Costa Rica this January bday to look for a region that resonates with me.. My 2 friends are going with me. Can't wait to move!
The only reservation i have with Mexico is that they do not fully recognize Afro-Mexicans. I know because i have family from vera cruz.
Not only that, but there is private investor 'movements' designed to disrupt the Indigenous areas, such as Oaxaca.
Love your channel….moved from Florida to Belize 🇧🇿 last year ❤️🙏🏾
Thank you for ALL YOU DO & all the information you share
I wish I could agree with you with Mexico but I can't. Maybe I was in the wrong places, two of the three times I've been to Mexico was horrible. I've only been to Cozumel,
Guadalajara, and Tulum. Tulum was fun because of the group I was with, but that was a fun two weeks. The other places were not kind at all. I would never go there again!
Guadalajara for 12 months, I will not return.
Thanks for info. BTW you have beautiful skin. Thanks for being positive 😊
My sister is an ex-pat in Rwanda. Many African Americans live there.
That's good to know. I'd thought about Rwanda to stay for a while.
I was perched and waiting for you. Thank you sis. Always good insight.
Love you Stephanie 🥰 Thanks for all your encouraging support. You are the best!
It is fantastic to see Sistahs seeing this world with new eyes and seeking a future in a more postive social climate. Sistahs are winning and its a joy to see. Thx Steph for the info. Love your caramel brown skin, its amazing
This is so timely. Thank you so much for having the "real talk".
Oh My God Stephanie! Thank you so very much❤ for your confirmation. I went to Merida, Mexico during the summer 2024 and had such a wonderful time! My plan was always to expat abroad and I truly had a great time in Mexico. I felt so comfortable there!🙏🏾 I am in very early planning stages now...Again, thank you again!❤🙏🏾
Yes Stephanie, they see the $$$ in your face as an American women, speak to the local black women when you travel to these countries, you will hear the truth!
I’m not being a smarty pants but Hispanics do not want to live in Mexico. Why are we going there? I work around a lot of them, they do not like black people. This is years of experience not just my current situation. I’m going to watch the video all the way through…
There are many Mexicans who have no desire to live in the US. Many live far better than us.
As a black girl from Massachusetts I'm very curious about the Irish thing cuz these ppl here... yeah no.
Ireland is totally different. They sent their worst here. 😫
@@dsivy1707 All of Europe did for that matter. What are some of the popular recreational activities, festivals, events, etc. in Ireland?
Your skin is glowing ! you look great!
I AGREE with your assessment of what America does to some people. I've been researching Mexico considering a move in 1 year.
Thank you for this video. So many people don't understand the historical origins of various peoples around the world.
Wasn't it in Ireland where the little black girl was passed over when they were giving out medals?
Yes it was a gymnastics meet. There is racism everywhere but there issues are typically more religious. The Troubles…
The Conquistador’s wiped out the Mayans and the Aztecs back in the day. ♊️ 👩🏽 💫
I love Mexico. Been to about 6 states and loved them all. I’ve always felt safe.
Hi Stephanie! You are a breath of Fresh Air and Encouragement! Blessings to you!
Oh, Stephanie, My Heart Is Breaking, I Feel Broken😥 But My Eyes Are Open …NOW!😌 You Were Right All Along! We/I Used To Go To The United States and Spend One Month or 2 …Sometimes 3 In Five Star Hotel Suites With Hotel Chauffeur Cars Driving Us Whenever We Went Out…and I Thought THAT…..Was America!!! I Guess I Never Asked Myself….”How Come You Need Chauffeur Cars In The US When You’ve Travelled The World and ALWAYS Walk EVERYWHERE In The Other Countries?” I’ve Been Naive and Selfish. I Feel As Though I’m In Mourning(Sincere Apologies, That’s Strong. Sorry To Anyone In Real Mourning) Anyway, You’ve Been Educating Us/ME All This Time! I Get It….NOW! I Completely Understand and Fully Grasp Your Perspective. Thank You. I’m So SAD & BROKEN!😥This Enlightenment Has Come At a Price!😌
I will go where I am welcomed, period. 😅 Grace and Peace, everyone.
Oh my God. I can testify to Real Mexicans kindness, generosity and just Humanity. We used to take our kids every school break 4 times a year. We didn’t do resorts and the love and hugs we got.. there are no words. Our boys learned so much and as the only Black member of the family, I got to be me bc they embrace like my family would. Love ya again
You hit on so many great points!
Would like to connect I will be in Cape Town but struggle feeling it there .
@ntiriwa sure, I'm in Southern California, San Diego, where are you?
@ hi I’m currently in Thailand but when you’re in Cape Town next maybe we can connect ? I’m going there soon. Thank you for replying !
No we don't need to take Mexico off the list. I'm STILL headed to Panama myself 😃
This is a very informative video thanks
I love Ireland it has been on my list because the country is solid when it comes to standing up against tyrannts but they are part of the EU and if things get really bad for Blacks in the U.S. they may not be able to move independently.
Yes, them and Scotland are unfortunately attached to the UK related to laws, currency, etc. Brexit screwed them over. That UK is the OG racism, but Scottish and Irish don't want nothin to do with the Brits! 😆
Came here to let you know that Mexico itself is becoming more progressive and more pro women. It appears that it's the older male Mexican audience that are imposing their old "machismo" values on to us. They're not all like that though, sending much love your way.
Unrelated, you look really pretty!!
Thank you so very much Ms. Perry for opening my eyes extremely wide and giving me options for a better life and not being sorry to make the change.
Hello, Stephaine. I enjoy watching your channel continue to keep it up.

My lil sister moved to Australia and her experiences are not great. Thanks for mentioning it because I need to tell her to get out of there 😢
I lived there for over 20 years and I found exodus summit and burnout to bliss saved my life …tell her to go she ain’t missing out. Happy to be in touch with her @ayamempress1579
I was just in Cancun and was treated very well. I live in the Southwest with a lot of Mexicans, and I definitely agree that Mexicans here in the U.S. do not treat you the same as Mexicans that live in Mexico.
I love your honesty about your travel experiences! Good or bad You have become my go-to, subscribed!
I am working on becoming financially independent. I will be noting places to go and live with ease. Thank you for all your information!
Experienced this in San Diego, CA. We walked into Mexico!
We used to do that back in the day.We would go party in Tijuana.Good times!
