The Dakotas and Montana, wow! Northern Rockies and to Yellowstone N.P. in Colorado that I visited at age 12 all those years ago. Cheyenne, Wyoming was part of the solitude tour.. Camping reminds me of my youth and early adulthood stage of experimenting. As there are 4 seasons - so there is a time to be together while at other times to be alone. Thank you for bringing us along to see some off beaten paths yet so beautiful and gorgeous in their own setting... it is almost like "come visit us" (says Nature) and you beckoned to the calling... not too many will try the off beaten paths fearing the unknown but you are brave adventurer who ventured out just so that us couch potato will have glimpses of how beautiful America is... just always have rations and water and always aware of the surroundings...stay safe and allow the tranquility, amazing sights, fresh air, first light, night sky, twinkling stars at night, waterfalls, glacier water, etc... all these frequencies of Creation will flow through you and recharge your spirit...be IN the light, be OF the light and BE THE LIGHT

What a cool video this is. Love the roadtrip throughout the wilderness. I did this myself with a friend, driving all day, get out where you like it and during the afternoon coffee break reserve a hotelroom when we know how far we getting that day. You are staying on campgrounds, did you been the only one there or were there other campers ? And was it “safe”. Thank you for sharing all these things and I like the idea of groceries etc for underway and for the evening. Close Encounters of a Third Kind is one of my favorite all time movies and it was soooo cool the first time I saw Devil's Tower and it is just out there in the middle of no where. I am like you Noah in that sometime I just like to get away from it all and just get some peace and quite out in nature. It is so pretty. One thought is in the winter go snowmobiling in Yellowstone. The snow covered scenery is not to be missed. One thing on my bucket list is to explore the slot canyons in the desert southwest like over by Paige Ariz. There is just so much to see out there. most of the couples I know stick together all the time. that was what I did when I was younger. after 30 years we separated and I started to travel around the world, alone, and I loved it so much. before this I thought I could never do that alone, but it was amazing. we all are a person of our own, too. I was at the Badlands, Custer State Park, and Devil's Tower decades ago. I miss it - especially since I'm a geologist. I enjoyed the solitude, but not the long drives.

My drone has a “quickshot” mode where it’ll do automatic movements and track objects. It actually happened to lose track of my car on that particular shot and just started wandering on its own but ended up being really cool actually! 😂

I take at least one trip like this every year (though mine are solo b/c nobody ever wants to come with) - it's absolutely delightful and peaceful and you're definitely doing it right! Just watch out for the bison, though... they have a bad attitude & will f*#k up a car when they're mad!
Do you ever feel unsafe or uneasy, being out in the middle of nowhere and by yourself? I’ve gone to entertainment destinations, like Orlando, etc, but I don’t feel alone, since I’m surrounded by so many people. Maybe I will strike up a conversation with someone, maybe I won’t. I just think I would feel uneasy in remote locations. Thanks for updating us on you and Christian!
Amazing question - surprisingly not really! I actually was in Orlando alone back in November and I felt much more alone there than I did on this trip despite being surrounded by people. For some reason seeing everyone else around me with someone else makes me feel more alone.
Whatever happens with you and Christian; togetherness requires work, alignment, patience, communication and sometimes ' a break/space'. In my experience, a break/space is like 'opening' the relationship to other partners...it seems like a plan...but it has never worked for me. Better luck to you.
I appreciate all you do to explain your relationship but its nobody's business except you and Christian. You are a couple and travel and life together and apart is a part of living. I always travel alone. It allows for spontaneous adventures. A good example of that is your drive to the Lookout Tower.

most of the couples I know stick together all the time. that was what I did when I was younger. after 30 years we separated and I started to travel around the world, alone, and I loved it so much. before this I thought I could never do that alone, but it was amazing. we all are a person of our own, too. Thank you! There's a "quickshot" mode that my drone does and it basically will try to track whatever you set it to track and do automated movements!

I was at the Badlands, Custer State Park, and Devil's Tower decades ago. I miss it - especially since I'm a geologist. I enjoyed the solitude, but not the long drives.

Hi Noah - thanks for sharing the experience of your travels. How cool that you chose to do a solo adventure like that, but you’re covering some absolutely beautiful territory of this vast country of ours. I look forward to seeing more. Be safe and watch out for bears and wolves. Personally, I wouldn’t venture out by myself like that unless I was armed with either a weapon or some chemical bear spray. Ya can’t be too careful in the wild.

I think part of the reason some people get so concerned when the video doesn't include Christian is they view you and Christian as this perfect gay couple. Incredible imagery! How are you able to capture things like overhead drone shots of a vehicle in motion like at 5:14 when traveling/filming solo?
My drone has a “quickshot” mode where it’ll do automatic movements and track objects. It actually happened to lose track of my car on that particular shot and just started wandering on its own but ended up being really cool actually! 😂

I take at least one trip like this every year (though mine are solo b/c nobody ever wants to come with) - it's absolutely delightful and peaceful and you're definitely doing it right!
Just watch out for the bison, though... they have a bad attitude & will f*#k up a car when they're mad!
Do you ever feel unsafe or uneasy, being out in the middle of nowhere and by yourself? I’ve gone to entertainment destinations, like Orlando, etc, but I don’t feel alone, since I’m surrounded by so many people. Maybe I will strike up a conversation with someone, maybe I won’t. I just think I would feel uneasy in remote locations. Thanks for updating us on you and Christian!
Amazing question - surprisingly not really! I actually was in Orlando alone back in November and I felt much more alone there than I did on this trip despite being surrounded by people. For some reason seeing everyone else around me with someone else makes me feel more alone.

Whatever happens with you and Christian; togetherness requires work, alignment, patience, communication and sometimes ' a break/space'. In my experience, a break/space is like 'opening' the relationship to other partners...it seems like a plan...but it has never worked for me. Better luck to you.
I appreciate all you do to explain your relationship but its nobody's business except you and Christian. You are a couple and travel and life together and apart is a part of living.
