I waited until I was 69 before I came out generally. For much of my life, being gay was illegal. If caught, I could have sent to prison for up to 21 years. But I'm sorry I waited so long. All the people in my life that matter have been totally accepting.

I do not understand why people use the word "struggle" so much when it comes to living a nomadic lifestyle. A real struggle is living a life in which you have no control, over your body or choices. THAT is a real struggle, not living the van life and poor planning while in it. Why drive to the north in winter or allow yourself to get stuck in a cold place if you hate the cold, then turn around and complain about the "struggle" . The issue many have is they are spolied with comfort and convenience ON DEMAND and do not adapt well to changes in life no matter the circumstances. Perspective.
