I love these videos. They make me so happy. I didn't get glasses until I was 13. My parents refused to believe that I had vision problems. By the time I got glasses, I was legally blind. I was so happy to be able to see. I kept smiling and laughing. When I got home my father told me to stop smiling because I looked ugly with glasses. I'm 57 now and have had years of therapy. Things are better for me now.
@@stevieme8642 Thanks for replying, I am asking on behalf of a friend whose child is 3 months now and they found out he has severe atrophy in optical nerve, and the pupils are not responding to light properly so most provably he sees shadows, do you think glasses can fix this from your experience?
@@imanalshami3548 I just don't know enough about it to say. I think that a good eye doctor, an opthmologist, should be able to answer that question and help find out if treatment is available. Good luck. I'll be praying for the child.

Never knew what the expression jaw dropping meant until this child did that "Awe!" Bless the child and whoever invented this simple thing called eye-glasses.
😯That is the sweetest reaction ever. Funny when she was fighting against having them put on her face, but that reaction was priceless. 😁 Congrats to her on her getting to see the world clearly for first time. She's a little cutie pie.
Hope she is enjoying them. I wanted to share that vision. This poor in a young child is due to heavy metals and you can help your child remove them and grow out of their conditions. Look up the heavy metal detox smoothie by medical medium.
I had problems seeing things when I was in the 5th grade and had to get glasses. It was cool I could see things clearer even though I got bullied about it. But the important thing is I could see, I could see the board, what the teacher wrote and it helped me. I don't think I would have made it far, if I didn't have my glasses, trying not to get emotional but I'm sensitive.
I've never had or needed glasses😳, I've always had perfect eyesight😇☺. And... I got bullied anyway. Even by guys who had glasses! Believe it... or not.
Had a client about 2 years old (I was wheelchair therapist), was told he had very limited vision so we just 'worked with what we had'. This made Mum realise that it was maybe time to push to get his vision properly re-assessed. The result being glasses and a kid that could see, and that could operate his electric wheelchair... and could be a normal 2 year-old and be naughty and push boundaries and Develop. Was wonderful. One follow-up appointment Mum told me how his latest 'game' was 'running off' in his chair (they had a semi-rural lifestyle block) laughing hysterically knowing at least one parent would be hot in pursuit.
I was around 12 when I found out I needed glasses. I somehow got missed in earlier screenings and it wasn't until a school screening that it became clear I couldn't see well. I remember the sudden and amazing change in my vision as the glasses went on and suddenly I could see everything clearly. I understand why so many of these kids smile when they get over the discomfort of having the glasses on - unless you've been without clear sight for a long time, its hard to convey the change.
I wonder what was going on in his little mind . It must have been so strange to suddenly be able to see everything . I pray he'll have truly brilliant life ... maybe he'll grow up to be an optician or in another part of that field helping others to see . What a heartwarming video 🤗
I was 9 when I first got glasses, after the teacher realized I couldn't see what was written on the board. I will never forget my first experience. The optometrist led me outside the building and I looked up: and realized that the lump on the hill in front of me was the local high school. And there were houses on the hill. Before it had been as much an undifferentiated mass much like a mountain.
Very glad things went better for you,, may I ask what was the reason for not seeing? Weakness in the optical nerve or something else? Did you have it from early childhood?
Beautiful. My mother tells me of my sister who is 14 months older than I, having this same experience and then my sister's son as well. The moment they fitted the glasses, it was video worthy, but we didn't have video then. I imagine it was just like this.
In the past some parents don't even try to accept the fact that their children have high mayopia and don't support the children. Nowadays parents are conscious and supportive.
The sibling who laughed and said, "Dad, she looks like Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys" was so funny. Seriously the little one is so cute, experiencing the world in a whole new way.
I had an 8th grade student who likely needed glasses her whole life, but her parents believed "glasses would make her eyes worse if she wore them" and so they never got her glasses. The first day of class I realized she could not read the board from the second row and so I moved her to the first row and it made no difference. It took weeks of convincing but her parents finally agreed to see a doctor when I told them I'd pay for the appointment if the doctor concluded she didn't need glasses. Needless to say, she needed an incredibly strong prescription and I didn't have to pay a dime. She went from a D student in math to getting straight As. Watching her in the days after she got glasses wasn't much different than watching this toddler's reaction to finally seeing the world in HD!
Lovely it was recognised so early. I had the same experience at 4 years old, the world opened up. Houses were really built with bricks and trees really had leaves, difference in color in the street meant difference in height. And newspapers were not grey, they had columns and headlines
i can relate. i was in the eighth grade when a teacher told my mother he thought i needed glasses. i couldn't believe how different the world looked the first time i wore glasses. thank goodness for the technology that makes this possible.
Watching this video brought me back 40 years to when my largely silent son got his first pair of glasses - his eyes couldn’t stop moving as he took in the sights. As soon as he could see, he started talking, non-stop! On the way back to the car he uttered his first full sentence: “Mommy, where did all the cracks in the sidewalk come from?”
Amazing that physicians can put together these glasses using diagnostic tools that don't require patient feedback. In patients who have verbal language, you can do the "is A better or is B better?" kind of testing. When that's not an option, whether by age or other factors, technology has to step up.
