A great boss for first boss standards, but not the best for me and probably the least good from this game (it's just uninspired in terms of moveset), Best first boss is hands down the pope from electronic super joy
That moment when you realize that this sadistic boss is actually one of the good guys. It speaks a whole lot that your a pretty bad person and that you were locked up for a good reason.
Question is, was he always a sadist or does he just hate us. We already know t The Scale and The Flame lost loved ones at Strangers hands, maybe the same can be said for The Chain.
Well he did build the prison... but he had second thoughts when he realised the following: 1. You were being treated like absolute shit 2. along with The Strap, who went completely insane from it. "But you and me, we both know that being locked up fucks you up inside." 3. They didn't pay any attention to The Line trying to point out the bigger picture of your arrival. ""Look at the sky" he kept saying, "the dot on the sun!" But no one listened." 4. That a young girl is among the Jailers, and is only an amatuer. 5. That not even The Voice can leave the prison, even to see his daughter. Don't they realise that these Jailers may have a life outside their jobs?
@@stephaniethebatter7975 I don't think he felt bad for Rider, considering he really didn't want to let him out, and tried everything else beforehand. He also built the prison, so he would've placed The Chain there on purpose. I think he was there to piss off Rider enough to make him break out. However, points 4 and 5 are especially valid. You ever wonder why The Voice hates The Song so much, despite her being kind to Rider? Not only did she make the decision to let The Beat join them (thus dooming her to a painful death at Rider's hands), but she actually trapped The Voice inside the prison. He didn't want to abandon his daughter, so she forced him to.
@@vengefulraven4322 Not what I meant. Just look at him. The devil is described in some interpretations as having three faces. He is known for being evil in his own right and for torturing people.
Damn...now *that* is what a boss battle should be like. A test of skill and knowledge that, while challenging, is fair.
This is probaly the hardest and best tutorial boss of all time
I would agree with that statement.

Best first boss is hands down the pope from electronic super joy
Also, this isn't a "tutorial boss", only first 3 phases can be considered a tutorial
The bosses in this game have the most badass voices.
He sounds 200x more badass in Japanese.
“NO WEYYY” -chain
especially the flame
4:37 me when the tendies are just right.
This boss was a strong start to a great game.
I only noticed now that the Chain alerts the other Jailers of your escape when he emits a shockwave in the beginning cutscene of the fight.
I think he knew he was going to die, and was just buying time for the rest to prepare
@@cameronmeade4200 Makes him 100 times more badass

He is not a good guy. He's just a tool.
He's a bad guy who found a way to vent his sadism while also keeping the world safe.
I imagine The Voice put him there intentionally, to make Rider angry enough to escape.
Just like the Scale, he probably lost quite a few people to the MC's rampage
@@karlwikman3874 yeah which is probably why he is like that , so his sadism is possibly personal
The jailer/chain is the coolest looking and sounding boss in the entire game imo
So holy shit this music is off the charts hawt.
Danger always makes bangers
I am kinda sad that the musical part at 8:00 isn't in the original soundtrack. The cyber/electric noises mixed with the OST just sounds soooo awesome!
The shifts from the gun mode into the sword fighting is pretty sick
Yoshimitsu's high-tech cousin.
Yoshimitsu from tekken?
*Every step you`ve taken from that cell, i`ll make you regret.*
The Stranger: *No u* -promptly wrecks the shit out The Chain-

This really reminds me of afro samurai
I think it was animated by the same manga artist who created afro samurai as far as i remember, or at least that's what i heard on tb's channel.
+Sylvester Ashcroft
He designed the art, and did character designs, which significantly influenced the neon cyber punk aesthetic.
He looks like man e faces from he man and the masters of the universe because he has three faces
NO WHEY
Let me guess, the rabbity guy is secretly the final boss? I mean look at him he fits the bill!
Actually no. He's your ally the entire game.
The rabbit guy just wants to see his daughter

This boss on keyboard was so much harder, when i pass to a controller it becomes a piece of cake to me ~-~
If this jail was Hell, this guy is the devil.
Look up the other ones, it's actually upsetting how easy this guy is even on harder difficulty.

gonna leave that like at 420
Looks like the PC version has more phases for its bossfights.

Of course you don't

Yet complete shitters are playing them.
The bosses look like a ton of fun, but this games dialog is probably one of the dumber things I've seen.
+Lu Bu it was okay to me
no regen for this
@Booker T What's wrong with English?
The chain taking constant shit is the best part
